So he essentially claims that they did the right thing, but were clueless in the way they did it. But, that's alright because that's the past, and he has moved on. An extraordinary level of arrogance - clearly school fees well spent there then.

BBC headline: "I told Liz Truss she was going too fast, says Kwasi Kwarteng." The scenario is NOT difficult to dissect &/or understand . He was the Chancellor and (quite literally) concocted a "economic" plan. She was the PM and signed it off. Please note: both individuals took the "unusual step" of NOT listening to their advisors . "Yes" the situation was already dire before they did what they did. But, the totally disastrous "mini budget" that almost swallowed the entire UK economy into the abyss and that has NOW triggered an irreversible global current currency crisis (purchasing power of fiat currencies dilapidated by non negotiable £65bn bond buying by BoE to prop up ALL pensions ) PLUS Government debt being totally unattractive lays squarely & squarely at this mans door. "Yes" she threw him under a bus. But now he's got back up and now going to try and throw her under a bus? What about us left holding the bill via additional taxes and inflation, not to mention lay offs in the job market???? This is the reality of the aftermath of ultimately their actions! Yet all these (once secret lovers) can do is throw mid at each other!
The only thing that matters is themsekves. Sicken to The core. If I had my way, BOTH individuals would be stripped of their wealth to (desperately) help cover the bill for their "mistakes", might even have an appointment with the hangman for a display of arrogance that is beyond belief.

The only think he would no apologise for was the rise in mortgages BUT these were going to go up anyway - the Bank of England had already raised them March 17th to 0.75%, May 5th to 1%, June 16th to 1.25%, August 4th to 1.17% , Sept 22nd to 2.25% Nov 3rd to 3% so rises before and after Kwasi's budget - and Hunt announced plans to increase tax etc. so no reason to apologise. Those whose fixed rates are coming to an end always knew they would rise from the much lower rates.
