Maybe shipper was concerned about lack of tie down point for load securement. Coils are the worst for securement because od extreme weight for small foot print.
I have 6 d rings inside of the fenders. They couldn't drop the coils down inside the fenders. They did the best they could, and I just had to find something else to disburse the weight a bit better
A good shipper should be able to load your trailer how you wanted it. I see they are not that heavy and as long as you can secure them safely then it's your baby. Seems in the center, just a little to the rear should have worked. Should have, could have? Just saying. Sorry for your lost revenue.
Worst that can happen on your truck with a stuck open thermostat is that your fuel mileage will go down and you might not have heat. Truck isn’t burning the fuel efficiently due to not operating at the correct temp. Could possibly endanger the def system if I had to guess. I’m not familiar with def
Did the warehouse guys load the coils on the deck the way they did because they couldn't get the pallets over the wheel wells? Or were they just lazy? I've had guys on forklifts say they couldn't get pallets over wheels wells before. My loads aren't any where near as heavy as yours but that's been an issue for me before.

Are you willing to take on a driver under your numbers until I can get my own, and possibly still drive for you if it all works out? Not sure what trailer yet. Maybe lease one, but waiting to get a contract first before paying that much. I had money for truck and trailer, but multiple deaths in the family this past year drained my account. So I’m starting all over to save up money, but want to start sooner than later.
Scape goating fork lift driver is wrong. Fenders did not allow setting coils directly on the floor. Weight restrictions require more straps than 3 sets of d rings. Coils should never be short changed on securement. These are the most dangerous of any and all.

They needed an overhead crane to load the coils where I wanted.. they didn't have. So I just had to grab another load to help even out the weight
