    Roger! Good to meet you and thanks for the inspiration. I am officially subscriber number 546 and I hope to get my UA-cam channel going early in 2025. I like this bag a lot as well. I am 65 and a relatively new photographer, just 2 to 3 years for me, but I love it and the sling bag that I have is an old school used National Geographic ‘Explorer’ that’s very much like the one you just described from Tarion. I bought one of the peak design capture clips and the current bag that I have the sling is not padded all the way, but looks like your Tarion is??
    Love your style doing these videos. I’m going to watch a few of your others to help inspire me. I’m on the far west coast of Canada quite a ways from you, but I’ll be looking forward to future videos. Best of luck.

      Hey Tarion, congratulations on copying Lowepro's DSLR Slingshot series to the last stich. ;-)

      @rooster80 I have to say that I don't agree with you about this. For me they are similar but not copied. The Lowbrow is bigger, fits a tablet, doesn't have the hard shell pocket etc etc. Maybe inspired by but tell me what camera bag that's not inspired by another... www.lowepro.com/global/slingshot-sl-250-aw-iii-lp37335-pww/. tarion.eu/collections/camera-bags/products/tarion-tr-s-camera-sling-bag

      @@rogerradstromphoto It's a nice looking bag for sure. I'm not out trolling. Lowepro has the smaller 100 aw, which is the one I have. It is exactly the same size, the exact shape , the buckles stopping the main compartment from opening past the side, the sling strap with the cross tender, the triangular top pocket, even the layout of the inner dividers.... There are simply too many similarities to call this a mere inspiration. The only thing different would be the hard shell pocket. Which Lowepro pioneered using molded plastics in their small pouches, even in their bigger camera luggage range. Please don't take offence. Your review is good.

      Hello, first of all we love Lowepro and consider them as one of the great pioneers in our industry. Although there is a lot of inspiration sharing among manufacturers, especially in the luggage and fashion industry, we have to point out that our TR-S sling product was released in May 2019, while Lowepro's Slingshot SL250 was released in 2020. But that's not even the point. Our TR-S took inspiration from the likes of Altura's Sling Bag released in 2015, which has a similar structure and form. Of course, we made a lot of design improvement and used different materials to enhance the user experience. We are certain there might be even more historical inspirations. Hope our explanation helps to clear this misunderstanding.@@rooster80

      @rogerradstromphoto I like it..there are so many to choose from. It seems to be of quality build and durable, and it holds my camera plus 3 lenses and some gear comfortably and securely. I like that it shipped protected in a box.

    Nice video and nice camera bag! I have been looking out for a compact yet sturdy sling bag. I think this checks all the boxes that I need in a camera bag so compact. Can it accommodate a Sony A7IV with a Tamron 35-150mm lens mounted??

    Perhaps not explicitly explained in the review, but you can fold away the divider between the top and bottom section. It cannot be removed entirely, though. It is stitched on the back side and velcro on the other three sides. You can flip it up or down, but up is better. There is limited ability to still use the other pieces but only if you flip the divider up and these pieces have to go on the right (the same side as the tripod holder). I can fit my Z8 with 600 PF attached, which I bring in and out from the top opening without having to open the bottom opening. To the right of that at the bottom (same side as the tripod holder), there is enough room with the other pieces to make space for two smaller lenses or one decent size lens and a strap/raincover/etc. You will need to open the bottom opening all the way to get at those.
    As for total loadout/weight, I would say Z8 with the 600 PF, a smaller lens such as a 24-70f4, strap, rain cover, an extra battery, extra memory card, a couple of filters, and a very small water bottle is pretty much the most you'll want to do with this bag. I would not recommend putting a monopod/tripod with that loadout. If you want to bring a mono/tripod, you'll have to ditch that equivalent weight in camera gear/water, i.e., get rid of the second lens and water bottle. 7lbs total weight of gear is about the limit.

    Do you think that it could fit Godox V1 together with your camera and 2 lenses shown in the video?

    • @rogerradstromphoto
      @rogerradstromphoto  Місяць тому

      Yes, If the speed light doesn't fit in the camera compartment it can go in the top pocket.

      @@rogerradstromphoto @rogerradstromphoto Thanks! I've stumbled upon the video afterwards where guy fitted Godox V1 in the top pocket which is even better for me. Just ordered it, it will serve an amazing purpose as daily "backpack".

    Nice review of the TARION Camera Sling Bag, but in all of the bag reviews I've been watching, why does no one pack a flash?

    • @rogerradstromphoto
      @rogerradstromphoto  Рік тому +2

      Thanks. I can’t speak for others but I don’t bring a flash when I’m traveling. And I think the main purpose of this bag is travel and maybe street.

    I’m like you! I have different camera bags for different purposes because there’s no perfect bag. I been looking at sling bags for walking and I came across this on Amazon. I like how it has a easy to access camera compartment so if I see something on my walks I don’t have to take my bag off and I like that it has a side pouch for my water bottle. Do you think it would fit a full frame DSLR and a 24-70mm lens? I plan on getting a mirrorless once I got some spare money but for now I’m stuck with my DSLR. Great review btw!
