- Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Released in 2009, the love for this videogame game runs deep, with so many having fond memories of their time spent playing this masterpiece. Was it as good as we all remember? (Spoiler alert: it was). This call of duty set the multiplayer standard for games going forward. Relive the past with me, and if you're one of the few people that read the description, have an EXTRA good day.

Mw2 got my dad and I through a very tough time in our life. I met many close friends from around the country, some of which still hop on with us today, two were groomsmen in my wedding. Fair to say this game changed my life.

2:50 I never noticed how this moment sets you up for that feeling of betrayal later when Shepherd shoots you in front of the helicopter, because the visual framing of the moment is exactly the same as what happens later on, except he also sneakily pulls out their gun with their other hand and starts blasting before you can react.

I had no idea about the cut comms from the Of Their Own Accord mission. The gradual desperation in the VA's voice was honestly very chilling, It gave me goosebumps lol. Amazing video on one of my favorite games of all time.

So nostalgic (this Halo 2 & Half-Life 2) playing this as a kid it was always my favorite. I was so young but knew this game was ahead of its time and now i play, a decade later, with tears of joy in my eyes. I love MW2
The lack of dismemberment is actually realistic. Dismemberment is rare in modern conflicts due to things like body armor and LOAC

This is the one period where I chose gaming over socialising. Never got into CoD4 or WaW unfortunately during their prime. Everyone was playing “CoD6” … I would go over all my friends houses and they were all playing this and something drew me in! The epic campaign and the chaos that was Multiplayer , safe to say I was hooked!!!
The amount of hours I put into this game compared to anything I ever did before. There was something about this game single-handedly. Truly epic and will always be in my top 5 games of all time!
The fight to the roof to light the flares always gives me goosebumps for some reason.

The impact this game had is still insane. Birthed trickshotting, arguably the coolest thing about Cod for a while and was definitely the most fun for me, it was massive in 2011, it's still alive today.

Awesome video man. There’s quite of bit of cut content in the campaign that people have found over the years as well.
Originally in Contingency you were to go into the sub with Price to launch the nuke. The interior is fully modelled and was used again in MW3 during the New York invasion.
The fight with Shepherd was treated differently as well. He would be looking for you around Rust and you would have to knife him three times. Very similar to the mission you play as Farah in MW 2019. There’s a lot of cut dialogue in that version too.
Amazing video I am glad to know there is still creators out there making original mw2 content this game is truly a relic of the past I play it on veteran every once in a while and I didn't even know about the hvi theory great video earned a sub!

I am 23 soon 24 but I remember from cod 4 2007 till cod ghosts I was addicted to cod especially the earlier cod’s I would replay them missions over and over again, they literally felt like a war, you look around and see all your solidiers running together and as a kid I can’t forget that feeling , and haha now the latest cod fake mw3 it’s like cia mission and some random bs 😂 ahh man what happened in gaming and life :( but I am happy I experienced those days … the best days

Back in the day when the game was in its prime it was pure 🔥 just like Halo, what a time it was to be a teenager when these games dropped was the best

Looking forward to your next projects. Call Of Duty will always hold a special place in my heart. The newer games just don't hit the same anymore, story & gameplay wise. It was always fun to discover new and still is fun to discover new things in these games such as Easter eggs, small details, out of bounds glitches etc. Something that the new games lack nowadays. Warzone ruined that aspect with everything being live service now. Left a sub, hope to you see your channel grow with each upload!

I remember a time from years ago when I was playing Modern Warfare 2. Had Taz Exclusive blaring in my earphones while deep into the game. Ended up in a lobby where a couple of players decided to target me, constantly pushing me around with their shields. They were chatting away on their mics, and one of them had a weird name that felt like a direct jab at me, referencing something personal from my life, even though I was anonymous. It was awkward having other players in the lobby witness this harassment, especially since they seemed uninvolved. I kept my TV volume low to avoid my parents overhearing, but it seems one of them caught wind and told my mom, who cackled. Not a great experience dealing with that group of people.

- Call Of Duty 6 Modern Warfare 2 was the first Call Of Duty to be in Portuguese (Language that Brazil🇧🇷 Speaks) but it was limited to the Brazilian Milicias of the game while everything else was in English
- Call Of Duty 9 Black Ops 2 was the first game to be Fully Translated from the ground up to Portuguese both Text and Voices were all made into Portuguese and that was the first time people here in Brazil remembered having an Outside game in Fully Translated Portuguese and that set the Standard for the years to come and to this day
That is Not to say Call Of Duty 6 and 9 were the first Outside games to be Fully Translated into Portuguese in History
That Honor goes to the Master System and Mega Drive games in the 1980-1999 which Tec Toy (Company that Sega made Parthership for distribtion of Master System and Mega Drive consoles and games in Brazil🇧🇷) were Not only Fully Translationing into Portuguese but also creating new original games like Sonic Blast for the Master System
idk what was the first game that They fully translated but one of the more High Profile games was Phantasy Star 1 for the Master System which got fully translated into Portuguese and it was also a Tecnological Marvel since the game was a total of 4 Mega Bits in size alone in a single Cartiched and also the Dungeons of the game were in First Person mode just like in games like Wolfensitein 3D which was impressive since it is the Master System and also the Monster Models of the game were every detailed and also moved around

Best cod game
Mw2 was pretty fun i played a decent amount of it and I would be perfectly fine getting a cod with old movement just if it doesn’t get the 2000 overpriced skins.
But when black ops 1 came out I fell in love with that game and it easily my favorite cod game

After watching this and seeing all the work and little details added to this game, one question came to mind:
How did these developers create such an amazing experience in 2 years while games nowadays are made much worse with more production time? It's weird that a game like this feels impossible to make nowadays or at all even. Shows how bad the industry has gotten over the years.
That's a good question. I have my own opinion on what caused the downfall of modern gaming, but.. that's gonna be it's own video. One thing I will say is, one of the recent games that gave me that feeling was Elden Ring. The World almost felt neverending.
Corporate oversight combined with microtransaction revenues, and competitive players/streamers shifting focus to multiplayer experience. When MW2 came out, COD was a growing and developing franchise that could get away with and do things that are now prevented by lawyers, marketers, etc that work to make the game appeal to the widest range of people possible. They used to set trends and take risks to draw in an audience. After major success, they now know their audience is mostly children. Less serious tones, more colorful schemes, and more focus on multiplayer has pretty much made every game after Blackops 2 lifeless.

If im not mistaken this is in game but it activates if the player doesnt defend or deal with critical objectives
The lines about getting to 80% are in the game, but everything after is removed. Some more was added in the remaster, but only down to 50%. There was no official release with all the dialogue included. If you still have the game you can load it up and try it yourself! Just don't snipe any enemies when you get to the crows nest on the 5th floor.

Dude, I know you've slept on SMGs if you just say UMP... MP5K slaps, it'll literally shred the UMP up close and Vector is a murder hose that's majorly slept on... Also, fun fact, the TAR, AK and SCAR are the fastest killing ARs, and the ACR is the slowest of the whole lot.
But also, L86 with stopping power is mad... 2 shot full auto at all ranges with a 700+ fire rate obliterates. Great for countering aim bot snipers!
It was more of a joke than anything, but the UMP was just so universally good for everything, it was really versatile. The mp5K was good don't get me wrong, but due to the recoil it has the range where it's effective I may as well use a spas-12. The Vector was a really low recoil smg and it was good. Damage isn't everything that determines a guns usability, gotta count recoil too. The scar would probably be the best gun in the game if it didn't have a 20 round mag.
The UMP has a similar damage model to the AK, SCAR, and TAVOR but also maintains a 3-shot kill at all ranges like an LMG without Stopping Power (SP doesn't bump it enough to 2-shot like the LMGs tho).
