Thanks SO much for making this. I’m learning to honour the memory of my grandfather who played this. Never having played piano before it’s tough but every day I’m getting closer and these videos make it possible. Thanks again!
@@boogiewoogieandbluespiano My pleasure. Slowly getting the left hand going with the right. I may have it in about 3 months. Then Jimmy Yancy How Long Blues next. Learning something and knowing someone else completed the same journey is a interesting way to find out about them. Walking in there shoes and all that. Walking bass in this case!
Woohoo can't belive I never seen the notification for this val love it hopefully I can learn it and send you a video I'm getting quite good at the left hand on its own so that's a start 🙂🎹🎹
@scott nevin 😀😀 I’m so pleased you like it 😅 it’s so cool 😎 isn’t it ! It’s one of Arthur’s “students must learn this “ songs and I’m so pleased I learnt it ❤️ it was the first piece I seriously considered cheating and looking up the sheet music …. But I resisted 💪🏿 good luck with it 😊 if you’re ok with the LH , you’re over half way there 😀
That's me got it all worked out now val I know the timing for both hands just need to keep doing it slowly over and over and hopefully start getting comfortable and be able to speed up a bit, I would have had it worked out by now but I was away from home for 4 days last week so that was 4 days with no piano but back at it now all my practise time is going into this one song gonna push myself hard on this one 🙂🎹
@Boogie Woogie , Blues & Classical Piano lol no rush will take me a while to get it upto speed but getting it all worked out where the notes fit in is half the battle once i know that then i can practise over and over hopefully a couple weeks and I'll have it we'll see, been listening to the original on youtube it sounds like he's doing c,f,c,c,f,f,c,c,g,f,c,c. God knows I'm happy with the usual 12 bar format just couldn't help noticing it as I was listening 👍
@@scottnevin7854 well spotted 👏👏😀 he actually plays it differently on some recordings, and sometimes does the “fast 4 “ ( goes to the IV in bar 2 ) and sometimes does four bars on C 😊 personally I do like the fast 4 as it breaks up the repetition at the start ❤️ have a listen to this recording… ua-cam.com/video/QbUQWR-HKAg/v-deo.html I’ll make a start this week on the video otherwise you’ll be sat twiddling your thumbs waiting for me 😁 I’m pleased you like it so much 😀
🎵Back with another Excellent tutorial! You haven't lost your touch, everything is here to get anyone playing this wonderful ol' classic in short order. Especially like the synchronised hands sections to enable both to be playing together. Wonderful!🎵

Hello from France ! Thank you for this tutorial, this piece is so cool to play! I'm curious, but how did you learn this piece yourself? Did you learn it by ear? MERCI
Very well played! What do you use to record your Yamaha that makes it sound so good? I have a Yamaha grand and am struggling with sound recording. Do you record. Direct into a phone or what mics do you use? Mixer? Thanks 🙏
@Rob Primose thank you 🙏 for the lovely feedback 😊 I just use my phone 📱 iPhone 13 Pro Max to record the video and it’s in built mic too. But I run the demo 1 clip through an app called VideoVerb to add some reverb and give it a less “dry” sound …which I think is what you may be referring to ? 😊
