Hey ANNIEVILLE, To me, this lesson is worth it's weight in gold. I been playing guitar for 50 years and got hooked on Boogie Woogie Piano 3 months ago during the lockdown here in Scotland. That happy music made all the difference to my mood. Guitar(s) under the bed for the time being. If I find any [gold] I'll send it to yuh., ha! Thank You for the tutorial. Best wishes from Scotland.

Annie, Thanks for slowing it down....this is one of the best online lessons I've seen. So often, despite their best efforts, the online teachers succumb to showmanship making it difficult to really grasp the lesson. I like how you broke it all down and yet gave us something sweet to play.

Thank you for keeping the memory of the great Jimmy Yancey alive ! I note with slight envy that you have a wonderful grand piano there. Looks to be a Yamaha. Well done !

I'm so happy UA-cam delivered this to me. It perfectly suits where I am, early in my radical training (all improvisation with the goals of meaning and clarity). Not sheet music but a clear breakdown that makes sense with my foundational rhythmic and tonic fluency.
Next day: Tapped the table for a while; played one note with each hand for a while, Played left, played right, put it together, GOT THE WHOLE DAMN THING!

Annieville did it again. So glad you got this up and running. You are by far the best teacher of piano I have ever taken from. You know how to break patterns etc apart and set a good learning pace. Looking forward to more.

Excellent tutorial, even for a 40 odd novice like me. Got the left hand, got the right, but together, not so good. Been hooked on boogie since I was quite young, long before youtoob. Next time your in Scotland, maybe a lesson? Keep up the good work.

Great video! I learned that Yancey was the groundskeeper for the White Sox and not the Cubs (like I had thought, sorry Chicago baseball fans... LOL). As a music teacher, it's always amazing to me that often the best instruction on UA-cam has so few views.

Paul, wondering whether Annieville is still teaching. Having discovered these few videos, kind of a shame if she's quit, or worse, is no longer with us. I'm old and that is often my experience.
