The MMZ manga honestly was never gonna be 1:1 in the first place. It was adapted in CoroCoro rather than any shonen magazine, so it was inevitable that it was going to be toned down.
If i remember correctly Ciel (not cial) had a straight up gun and was shooting at a chibi Zero for somereason

Nicely presented!👍I read the Mega Man Zero manga around 7yrs ago and actually enjoyed it. I may be an outlier because by that point I hadn't played the games personally; only watched people that were close play through them. - I think playing them myself would’ve given me stronger feelings about how the narrative “should’ve gone” while reading the manga, and I did meet people in the fandom who didn’t like it. - Which I can totally understand that, as the manga takes on a separate lighter-hearted more humorous tone; changing many of the elements established in the games, or adding new ones like Cial. The chapter I recall enjoying most was Zero vs Roze. Roze also being an obscure manga-only character from what I recall.
As a side note, the visor allowing Ciel/and or Cial to see energy bodies [cyber-elves] sounds like technology reminiscent to me of Geo’s Visor from Mega Man Star Force. I presume Ciel would be able to see EM beings with it as well then, as cyber-elves seem similar in principle? [Hypothetically assuming there was a crossover or something of course.]
There were some cool things to the manga, I can agree tothat. Zero had such a cool story and the core to it worked really well for manga and anime adaptations, so the route that they went was uh. Disappointing.
Roze was for sure cool though. HIs weaponry being stocked in his wrist was such a cool idea. I liked the idea of him more than Omega having Zero's original body.
As for the device, cyber-elves are energy bodies, as are EM beings. Theoretically I would say yes it could, or at the very least it might need some tuning to properly see them.
