I had no idea you had a collection of vintage transfers, they looked fascinating.

I have literally hundreds of them for the shop, I just need to think of a way to display them.

@@eleanorbirchellhughes Does that mean you want to sell them? If so I'd be interested in purchasing some.

I’ve just found your channel and I’m doing ‘binge watching’ (to the detriment of my current project)….. but I’ll soon catch up. Watching this video brought happy memories just flooding into my ol brain. My mother (born in 1909, died aged 84), was such a talented embroiderer. We used iron on designs and a great enjoyment was had when we we got home with new ones and started to work out what we were going to to work on. Everything seemed to have a splash of embroidery as embellishment. But my happiest memory was when my father was seated at the table drawing designs on chair back covers or table runners for mum and I to work on. Log fire burning, bread just out of the oven…… truly , I’m there. Lovely day for me.

I learned on iron on transfers also. Still use them. I LOVE to hand embroider, since age 5. That transfer book you have is SO beautiful. 💝 Thank you for showing all these vintage transfers. I'm in tears.

I think that your problem in transferring your design is not the linen but first not long enough of ironing time and second: press without moving! I don’t design but I use a lot of transferring paper!

These are beautiful, I was wondering why I cant use the finest needle punch for iron on transfers.
