Every time you say “fiber mesh”, I’m jealous! You must remember those rolls of #9 wire mesh. What a struggle, sometimes the new guy, not knowing or not paying attention, would let the roll go and then there was screaming, runnin for your life! and many profane remarks!😂 The Old Retired Laborer. by the way, Luke seems like the real deal 👍
Nice work guys! I really enjoy watching your videos, gets me inspired to do projects around the house. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see some new epoxy floor videos.
I have always put a bench at the end of the shout that way the shoot doesn't lay on the floor and get full of concrete on the bottom what we all do it different I make the bench 13 inches high 16 inches wide with two little cross pieces
I always enjoy watching your videos Mike. Have a question, I might be moving up to towards Maine New Hampshire area. I have 38 years experience in Masonry and concrete. What is the average earnings of a Concrete Finisher in your area for the day or hourly rate
Gotta love elephant turds in the concrete, i hear its because water was added too quick when batching the concrete. When the plants are busy you seem to get it more often they're trying to smash the trucks out.
Love your videos! Every flatwork guy is in a bad mood in our area not sure if it’s something we are doing or not doing but they come in and four the floors for our basements and the main guy is just a terrible person to work with does fantastic work but is very hard to deal with! I think we will drop his ass for next year and he will most likely not get much work once we drop him! He gets his work from 75% from our basements too bad he is just a shit to work with
You guys make it look so easy, I’ve watched other people do it and they make it look like it’s really hard work!👍
Thanks Alan!

Yes, in the 80's and 90's we rolled out 100's of those rolls, both light gauge and heavy gauge, 5' x 150 foot rolls.

No plumbing in that basement?
With the right crew, that's how it is supposed to look.
Do you ever use them form to form? Or, are they primarily a wet screed device?
Which do you like best the screed from tomahawk or mbw screed demon and why or do they each have a specific strength.
Does working up all that paste make for a chalky dusty floor later?
What brand of extendable ladder are you using? Great videos.

do you consider using a hook ladder to get out instead of sitting in the fresh cement
Contractors in Thailand could use this video
So, what do you do next, Mike? Someone goes down on skids and magfloats? Then helicopter it?
Yes, once it sets up enough. Usually in an hour or two.

That's too bad, it's hard to work with people like that. I personally just like to get along with everyone and enjoy working in general.
How did Darren get out?
We use a ladder.
Very nice Mike. Save your backs for retirement. ;)
You got that right!
we call them meat balls in the Poconos
