I am staggeringly amazed that some revisionist “fans” seem unable to appreciate the single most Fleming interpretation of 007 we have seen on screen since Thunderball. It’s OK. If you like invisible cars and Judo chops then another version of Bond will be along shortly. But until then, don’t try and get intellectual on us. Fleming’s Bond of the novels was brought to the screen brilliantly.
In all the five James Bond films that he acted, Daniel Craig could stir our sympathy and empathy for his integrity, fortitude and understanding of the women he met in them.
