I'm old, I've seen them all since I was a kid. This is my favorite of the franchise. The uproar when they chose a blond to play the part, and the silence from the critics when he knocked it out of the park with his first outing.

For Daniel Craig, it was the Best possible beginning for his 007 era.

Judi Dench already played M in Brosnan era though, pretty weird when you think about it, is that even make she the only actress/actor in history that played the same character (same but different?) in a rebooted version of a serial in a franchise continuity? or has there been someone else in similar role?
@@w9gbAND Mads Mikkelsen, compare his version of Le Chiffre with Orson Welles' version, is like comparing Heath Ledger's Joker with Cesar Romero's take. Nevertheless, I'm still amazed and highly impressed by both Orson Welles' Le Chiffre and Cesar Romero's Joker. The fact that they can play A character so diabolical and cunning yet so cartoony (as if they were straight out of Comics/Novels) in the 1960's is an Outstanding, Admirable Accomplishment. But damn did the 2000's darker tone, grittier version blown me away? The Dark Knight (2008) and Casino Royale (2006) are Cinematic Masterpieces

The best modern era Bond theme. Great song and it suits Craigs high-action Bond perfectly.
Skyfall was very good also but for a more somber movie.
