The filter clogs after about 10 holes. and needs cleaning out. Also they only sell the replacement filters with the dust box making it very expensive and very bad for the environment. I'm in the prosses of looking for something a lot better.

Probably not as this unit isn't capable of that without the use of an adapter or multiple adapters. It doesn't connect with their universal quick connector which makes it (presently) limited and frustrating. Nice concept, terrible execution on the part of DeWalt

John Ellis it may be intention due to the fact that this Vac collection isn’t meant to collect that amount of volume that a router and a saw put out. This is great for quick cleanups on small jobs that doesn’t require you to pull out a big vac. Great solution by dewalt.

We found out we have asbestos in our drywall compound, but don't want to replace all the walls. Would this be suitable if we anted to say, put up a shelf or nail in a picture and want to capture the dust from this?

Stop the fear. Drilling a 3/16 hole is not going to harm you in the slightest. And you certainly don't need a 260 dollar shop vac for the job, LOL.

It definitely doesn’t have the collection of my 5 gallon vac. Very disappointing.
