At the end of filming Vera-Ellen was so thrilled with Joan’s contribution she gave her a diamond bracelet as a thank you gift, all be it a very generous one!
Thanks Marcus Joan was my grandma, I never knew that, I just found out she was the voice for Vera in this movie that's why Im watching this. It's so lovely to find out she sang on so many varied platforms, im a bit sad she had such little recognition in her lifetime, but my sister's and I listen to her songs and remember her with love.
This one is such a fun number, I like her dancing with the children.

Wonderful dance number
Vera Ellen was of German decent! She came from the same town as Doris Day. I believe they took dance lessons together.
