Yes! Other artists reveal some of their life in their songs but Taylor is the GOAT!!!! I have noticed within the last 6-8 months the number of people deciding to comment on her songs then begging the swifties to like and subscribe then monetizing it. Some,you know , really haven’t a clue. I’m starting to delete the crazy youtube posters that are just clickbait. At 75 found Taylor and now at 76, you are my fav commentators. I see Taylor as a massive poet, musical savant but also as a healer. She explores our human experience and damn she’s made even me cry realizing hurts that I carry from my 20s and thought were over and done. It sunk home I was not alone in my experience and not insane i felt it so deep at the time. She connects us and I wish her and whoever the best. Travis may be it, if so may they continue to be an unstoppable force for good in this world.
Exactly that, some content makers have realised the ‘Swift effect’ is real and that reacting to a song/music video garners them 000’s of subscribers out of the Swifties and they’re now giving up their day jobs because they can sit at home making vlogs, most of them know nothing about Taylor, don’t understand the Easter eggs, listen way too much to the haters then regurgitate it as so called reaction content.

I am 71 and I am just now exploring all of Taylor’s music. She gives us a cake to line up with in every album. I am blown away. Hits Different, you two have helped me come up to speed with the music. Thank you.
She was so right to call out those unbearably entitled, false virtue signaling brats associated with that 'open letter'. I love her for it, and it was so delicious that it was done in one of the most joyous songs. Imagine the delusion they live in to think, first, that they're qualified to judge another human being based on two sentences out of his mouth on a podcast, and second to double down on their holier-than-thou BS by thinking they can tell a total stranger who to date, cloaking it in "care" for her. Horrible, horrible people.
I'm happy that Taylor took the time to address the cancel culture. I'm so tired of these judgemental people and their judgemental opinions. I'm happy she chooses to live her life on her own terms. The hate she gets from so many people is unbelievable to me. She is probably one of the nicest people out there.

Swifty’s should make a public apology to Taylor and change our ways ! We need to stop this. Because she needs to have a normal life. We need to stop equating the songs to who is it about - it’s tiring even for us. I hate that I can’t enjoy the songs without people saying - it’s about his and that. I think It’s just beautiful poetry. I do have to say - we feel like we know her heart and soul because of her songs and we love and care for her well being a lot more than she probably knows. I love your attitude. It feels like you're the only Swifties left who try to understand her. All other Swifties I'm listening to right now are being extremely unfair to TTPD and Taylor, even though it's a great album overall where she went out of her way to give every fan group something they would appreciate, in terms of genres, but they're still unhappy.
I'm wondering who you're listening to because it doesn't sound like they're actual "Swifties". TMZ reported the same thing, that all the Swifties they spoke to hate the album. I'm 69 and I absolutely love this album. I love everything - the story telling, the lyrics, the music, the production, the fearlessness in which Taylor shares her life experience. I think anyone who's complaining weren't fans in the first place or are only fans of specific "bop" songs.

These people that care to critique Taylor's work have way too much time on their hands. I find it humorous that they take the time to care if they don't like her music. There are so many artist out there to listen to. I don't have to critique their work. I listen to Taylor because she is therapy for me. Her music helps me work through my own issues. I feel sorry for people that decide to not like her music.
It was the "speak-up swifties". Did you guys see the speak up rules of their fandom. It was ridiculous! They had people sign this petition and sent it to Taylor. OMG!
When people's "opinions" are things like "duh, she should have stayed Country Only" (heard that yesterday) or "this new one isn't DAZZLING enough" it's the utter selfish shallowness of reactions that curls me spine with rage. Agree with the sentiments shared and I have a significant parallel in mind. Recently Kate Bush re-emerge as a "forgotten genius" around the use of "Running up that hill" in Stranger Things. Her industry life has similarities, without social media, to the Taylor Swift and other female artist experience's.
Kate Bush entered the industry in the late 1970's at 15 or so. Spent the next decades dealing with similar situations as a shy, less public persona then disappeared for nearly 2 decades to raise her family.
A devastated fan base learned that we were some of the reasons this happened. A problem that emerged was the schism between fans about who was to blame!!! No-one and everyone was the cause so pointing fingers and "bitching and moaning" served no purpose beyond prolonging the wait.
If Taylor feels this parallel, then I believe that this album is a rebuke, warning and possible preparation of the fans for a retreat from the stage to raise her family. Do not worry, the parallel fits as during that hiatus Kate continued to write and produce privately whereas Taylor is likely to be more public, at least musically. So rather than waiting 19 years or so for new "Kate" music the Swifties can anticipate a regular succession of albums every year or two.
But, the warning is that if the fans abuse these gifts too much then this privilege may disappear like it did in the past to us for decades.
Anyway, after having scared myself as a recent Swiftie and the more attuned fans I hope we accept reality well enough to be less afraid of "little ole her."
Willful ignorance generates clicks and attention. A lot of bad takes seem to come from people who have no idea what the creative process is about and don't care as long as they get to be an internet star for a minute. (so many bots) Who's afraid of Little Old Me? is one of my favorite songs off the album, female rage and I'm here for it.

Taylor just needs a long break after the world tour. I’m a fan of her for over 15 years but this is just too much. I’m sorry to say this but a lot of swifties don’t even have the patience to wait, for example, the rep TV. Like…what??? Chill out..she gives us so much so fast, why can’t we enjoy longer? There is like always a healthy way and an unhealthy way. But this goes both ways, us to Taylor but also vice versa. We are now living in a time of social media and mobile phones. Opinions are not contained by distance anymore like it was when we were sitting at the campfire, that is both in giving them and receiving them and Everything! gets documented.
Forcing my opinion onto someone else certainly when we do not have a personal relationship is unhealthy, so open letters, the stalking everywhere she goes etc. it's intrusive and should stop and I block all those clickbait channels.
But then we have “how did it end?”. Where she describes how painful and here we go again it is for her. I think she put that into that song beautifully, but she just gave us "So Long London” and "The smallest man who ever lived” where she answered. So I have questions about the meaning of the song.
For an example. You follow a photographer that specializes in bird watching pictures. You hear that a rare Eagle was spotted near you. Will you be checking out his page to see if he has photographed it? If he hasn't will you interpret it as a not yet and come back? Or will you never check his page for it because “how did it end?”?
I do not see a problem trying to follow the breadcrumbs of info like who or what situation is this song about. The problem comes with the: “and then”. I see no problem in saying that she and Travis look very happy. That I think "So High School” is about him and that I hope they grow old and stay that happy together. However, if they do break up, I won’t be writing an open letter to the Chiefs organization to fire him because he made Taylor cry. But on the next album I will be listening for a "How did it end?" or should I listen and if there is a break up song on it should I then think, oh break up song out of nowhere?

The clues aren't for you. She's said in interviews that she gives just enough information so the guy she's writing about knows the song is directed at him. Her easter eggs are both fun and great marketing. All you have to do is stop trying to figure it out. She's pretty clear during the ERAS tour that she wants people to stop thinking of her life in the songs, and instead think about the fun they shared at the concert or think about your own life.

I don't know what you're talking about. Taylor writes about her life and in her non-autobiographical lyrics, she's making up characters who also experience life, love and heartbreak. Taylor speaks for all of us as she relates her life experiences. I'm 69 and totally relate to her and love her music and lyrics. "What bothers so many"? The people I've read complaining online either haven't listened to her albums, only know a media-characterized inaccurate portrait of her, or don't accurately interpret her lyrics. Who exactly are these "many" who are bothered because "they" think Taylor thinks she is a philosopher?
I have a Doctor of Philosophy degree and Taylor is definitely a philosopher, one of the greatest to come along in at least a hundred years.
"I wouldn't marry me either" is something she writes so she must know that she should be surrounded by caution tape for a visual reminder that she can't be trusted in relationships. One perceived false move by her date, boyfriend, lover can lead to their character being destroyed by her poison pen and lyrical, musical bullying.
She knows "she's the problem it's me" and yet she goes about destroying men in her wake anyway. It's a business formula that she has success with - so why change it if her fanatics love it? Because the real problem is these fanatics love how she hates. She uses misandry to weaponize her lyrics and feeds the masses of the ultra-feminist who crave anything that brings men down low. Taylor loves being their leader. They feed each other.
So, can such a woman like Taylor ever find happiness with a man, marry and start a family? She says she wants that. I think she would have to totally change her soul for that to happen. I think she's on a roll that's going to continue. In interviews she's done and in her ERAS tour concerts she's talked about how she's learned more recently that whether she's happy or sad, she's going to write. She did write a screenplay and is expected to direct that, so that may happen in 2025, but I don't think she'll stop writing.
