I've seen numerous videos where cops responded to a 911 call, then got out and arrested the first person they saw without even knowing who they're looking for. In one case, someone called 911 to report that a girl was assaulting her boyfriend, so the cops drove up and arrested the guy. In another one, a guy was swimming and was accosted by a woman and her armed husband, so he called 911 and the cop drove up and pulled her gun on the VICTIM and started screaming at him. 😒 Lazy cops don't just hurt innocent people, they also aid and abet guilty ones. And they couldn't care less. They get paid the same either way. 🤦
Ever wondered why nobody pointed out that anyone else might be the murdered? They won't, because it would require to care for a victim. They care only about this monster.
From the start, there was no justice. An innocent man was punished for years without evidence. Despite this, his execution was repeatedly discussed and eventually carried out without evidence, even against the victim’s family’s wishes. All those responsible should be investigated for their lack of transparency and evidence, and be forced to explain why they thought it was a good idea to imprison someone for so long without evidence, and then continue arrogantly to execute without evidence. This case shows that human justice is flawed and can never be true justice.

Lets be honest- the reason that this was pushed forward was to stop the city/state from being sued. This is all just so the people in power could cover their own asses and try to hide behind the veil of being able to write history as the ones on are alive to write it and not admit to wrong doings because if there was enough proof to say he was innocent and the process followed properly- the people in power would have had to admit they were wrong and compensate him. I hope the family of this guy can find out the whole truth and make sure he WAS the person to hold responsible, because if not I hope the family sues the ever loving crap out of those involved who wanted to uphold this sentence. When such critical evidence can be reasonably tossed out that means you technically need to go to retrial. A lot of the case was also shown to have been grossly mishandled by the prosecution at the time. So there’s a lot of room for reasonable understanding that the case needs to at least go back to trial or be dismissed and he should not have died.
However instead there was a governor and other people who were hell bent on killing someone as if it was a trophy, and said person who pushed for it in fact has done it SEVERAL times even when ORDERED by the judge to stay the execution and or release the prisoner because enough evidence had been shown that either the case was falsely processed and or someone was proven innocent when a proper investigation was done.

Williams has a robust criminal history, including 15 felony convictions in addition to offenses related to Ms. Gayle's murder: robbery (2), armed criminal action (2), assault (2), burglary (4), stealing (3), stealing a motor vehicle, and unlawful use of a weapon, which is all consistent with entering the home, attacking Ms. Gayle, and taking her items.
Williams confessed the murder to his girlfriend soon after committing his horrific crime once his girlfriend found Ms. Gayle’s purse in Williams’ car, but he also threatened to kill her and her family if she told anyone, readily explaining why his girlfriend did not approach law enforcement until Williams was in custody.
The girlfriend never requested the reward for information about Ms. Gayle’s murder, despite claims that she was only interested in money.

Gayle’s personal items were found in the trunk of Williams’ car.
Williams sold Ms. Gayle’s husband’s laptop to another individual who later identified Williams as the seller.

Other individuals were present when Williams bragged about this murder, and they were disclosed to Williams’ team before trial and have been discussed in subsequent proceedings.
Gayle’s personal items were found in the trunk of Williams’ car.
Williams sold Ms. Gayle’s husband’s laptop to another individual who later identified Williams as the seller.
The court refused to allow for the testing of DNA evidence during his initial trial. When the DNA evidence was processed later, the DNA found on the handle of the knife used in the murder belonged to another man. So, yes, they did convict him without considering all the evidence.
@@Klako-ls6yt They did allow for the testing of the DNA. It only showed that the weapon had been handled by law enforcement/detectives. The killer could have worn gloves. DNA wasn't used to convict him so it was irrelevant.
@@ao0805 First, it’s a lie that they allowed DNA testing during the trial. They didn’t, which you acknowledged at the end, contradicting yourself. The DNA evidence didn’t get checked until much later, and was part of the push to dismiss the charged on grounds of reasonable doubt. Second, you can’t just say that the killer could have worn gloves. The prosecution has to prove that, otherwise, there’s doubt.
DNA evidence exonerated the executed man, but the state pursued the execution to avoid paying compensation to him. Disgusting
No
@aleksandrac9335
Yeah they didn't find any dna at all..
No it didn't. Stop lying. It was touch DNA and it doesn't last.
DNA evidence did not exonerate him. DNA on found that the weapon was handled by many people. DNA was not used to convict him, so it was irrelevant to the original conviction.
@@ao0805, so what evidence was used to convict him of this crime the laptop and purse or the recanted statement from his girlfriend about him telling her he did it???
This is why the death penalty is unjust no matter what the case.
The system is broken against us this is wrong
This is sooooo wrong!!!! This is potentially a very innocent person.....who ever had invested Interest to do this without looking into further could have blood on their hands!!!!
Reminder this was Williams' criminal record EVEN BEFORE this murder:
*The jury heard testimony detailing a residential burglary in 1997, armed robberies of both a doughnut shop and a Burger King in 1998, and a threat to kill a corrections officer at the St. Louis City Workhouse in 1999. The State also introduced certified copies of Williams's sixteen convictions: second degree burglary and stealing over $150 in 1988; second degree assault in 1988; second degree burglary in 1988; two counts each of second degree burglary and stealing over $150 in 1991; first degree robbery, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon in 2000; and first degree robbery, armed criminal action, stealing a motor vehicle, and two counts of false imprisonment in 2000.*
A career violent criminal like this deserves no pity.
In any case where there is doubt about the guilt of someone who is facing execution, the authorities have a moral obligation to prevent that execution from taking place. If there is even a possibility of putting an innocent human being to death it must be prevented. Shame on Gov. Parsons and the Republicans on the Supreme Court who revel in cruelty!
Wesley Bell was utterly ineffective in doing anything to stop this execution. He's not a good prosecutor, he's a political climber who has had a lot of luck. it's grotesque to see him pretending to care about this matter.
There wasn't any doubt. He appealed all the way through the supreme court and was confirmed guilty at every stage. CNN is just race baiting.
99.9% chance he was guilty. That's not enough to kill a man imo. Should have to be 100%.
However for him to be innocent would mean that all 3 testimonies were lies, cops or the real murderer planted items from the home in his car, then there's the details that only the murderer would've known revealed by the cellmate's testimony, the laptop sale where he was identified as the seller etc etc.
Lot of people with disingenuous motives ignoring all that.
As long as there was a shadow of doubt, he must not be executed.
He is not innocent. He may not of killed the victim. He was involved with her murder. He had plenty time to explain why he could not have been the killer. His girlfriend thought he was involved in the murder and she reported him to police.
His EX girlfriend paid for testimony*
Everyone wants justice and to protect the innocent, BUT HAVING LOOKED TO THIS VIDEO FOR A HOPEFUL BASIS, there is NO basis for overturning his conviction in this video. There's a whole bunch of pleas for emotion but NOT one good reason given why he would be innocent. Please provide a video that would. More time to investigate.....27 years?! IN NO WORLD is 27 years categorized as QUICK. Absolutely no basis given in this video. Bad video or baseless video.
The CNN activist has the sads. Though didn’t they have twenty years to investigate his claims?
He was Guilty how many times?
Murder is Murder, whether it's Execution or Abortion. Can't pick and choose.

As a black man in America we don’t stand a chance
God has his own way of doing things. That is why many Americans are not spared in the Middle East. It will continue like that...
Williams had 15 prior felony arrests besides the Gayle murder case. how did he not stand a chance?
Your programming went well. Keep tuning into these fake new liars and you'll end up in a panic.
So move to an African country, see how much better you'll be treated there. Something tells me you'll run back to America and kiss the land.
@@linogomic4981 what do you mean Americans are not spared in the middle east lol. I'm Malaysian and lived in Qatar when I was 13 - 17 and my American teachers stayed there long, some 2 years and one 7 years. She was going to stay only for a year or two but she grew to love Qatar and it's people. She was glad she went and saw with her own eyes that it was not some dangerous propaganda that was fed in the west. She went to church every week and was a devout Christian. She gave me and a few of my classmates the bible. We sang at her house, just all girls. It was chill, she was nice. We were nice. You should come to Malaysia or Qatar and see with your own eyes. Islam encourages travel because it broadens your mind and you don't stay closed minded
So the man was innocent. So in my opinion, those who expedited this and didnt look at all the evidence, should face the same sentence if it turns out he truly was innocent. Eye for an Eye.
How do you feel about what’s happening to Trump?? Ohh I bet your opinion is a lot different in that case hypocrite
@@ZRC-rl7pg Where's the evidence exonerating Trump? In this case, DNA evidence showed another man's DNA on the murder weapon, which should have cast reasonable doubt on Williams as the murderer. There's nothing like that for any of Trump's cases.
He had 20 years and failed every appeal to prove his innocence. That is due process.

Execution isn’t Jesus’s way it’s old testament and justice isn’t served innocent or guilty. I’d rather have Jesus’s way
Romans 13:
Except that in the New Testament, Jesus signed on to be executed. I've never understood the whole human sacrifice aspect of that religion; it's just macabre.
@@nancymcmonarch Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins and I’m for anything that helps mankind aspire to be better people
@@SicilianMare Oh, I've known the story since I was a kid, but it's never made any sense to me. Seems like God could have just changed the rules, or gotten rid of Hell altogether, or some other option that didn't involve torturing the poor guy to death. I don't find that inspiring at all; the whole crucifixion process is barbaric and cruel. And tbh, while it might cause some people to be better people, there are many others who behave as though they can do any kind of evil they please because the blood of Jesus gives them a Get Outta Hell Free card.

The guy was convicted for rape regardless. He was a threat to women long before he committed this murder.
