He is actually just not in battle form when you meet him and if you meet him again he will probably be ready to kill you with one tap and is not gonna die by one hit

Safe to say these 2 games have surpassed the movies that Disney made
This is true from both an objective and subjective standpoint IMHO.
The story here, the acting, the music, etc all have contributed to a batter and more cohesive final product.
And yes I am aware of the optimization issues, but as a SW fan I know that those will be fixed and this top tier product will still be here for everyone to enjoy.
I'm on console so there are hardly any noticeable issues for me, but for others I know that there have been some experience souring bugs.
This is respawn though, the credit goes to them. NpHardly any to EA and none to the mouse in this regard.
@@samf.s.7731 let me get this straight: LucasFilm and Disney have been dropping transmedia content: from books, tv shows, comics, reference books, VIDEO GAMES, left and right to fix/flesh out/add more lore and explanation. Not only for the Sequels, but also the Prequels and the OT to make the stories more cohesive. And you say that they aren’t doing not an objective improvement?
But at the same time, you can give an immediate pass on a video game (which story-wise is overseen by the same company you and the OP is hating on) which should do one of two things from day 1: 1. have a good story and 2. be optimized to play well on a PC and/or system.
No acknowledgment of the work they’ve been been putting in. I guess the “Hate on all Disney SW because it’s perceived to be cool” Kool-Aid must be still flavorful to have these contradictory takes. You’re subject to your opinion, but let’s not call it “objective”.

Rick The Door Technician gotta be the best character not only in the game but in the whole star wars franchise. He needs a game ,a 5 season tv show and a whole trilogy about his back story .
Best performance of the year at the game awards guaranteed.
He's as emotionally evoking as Kratos, just as brave, and as iconic as lady Dimitrescu.
Hands down the writers will get accolades for the careful planning behind his integration into the story... It's so much better than when Vader showed up.
All I'm thinking is the Undercover Boss episode with "Matt the Radar Technician"
The drill part of the game on jedha was actually one of my favorite parts of the whole entire game. The sequence was very satisfying
I almost hate to admit how hyped I was when Merrin kissed Cal.
I’m not much of a shipper when it comes to characters in movies/shows/games, but I’ve shipped Cal and Merrin hard even since Fallen Order, I was ecstatic lol

Me toooooooo. Playing it was the craziest twist I’ve had in a game in a while. But that twist could’ve literally been it’s own game and it played out in 20 minutes which is my only gripe.

@@thomanom2627 I definitely understated how long it was lol. It was just me over exaggerating. I’d say it actually took about an hour maybe 1.5 hour. My point was more that I felt like it could’ve been flushed out far more.

From the beginning I didn’t trust Bode at all. Just had a gut feeling he would be a traitor. The entire rest of the game I kept going back and forth between trusting him and finding him sus.
A couple points on a 🤌🤌 video:
- Also a lot of The storylines such as why the band broke up, the burgeoning ship between Cal and Merrin, and why Greez lost his arm is tied into the book Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars, which takes place between the two games.
-Small nitpick but in the beginning of the video The facility wasn’t a facility: it’s the lower levels of Coruscant. Calling it just a “facility in a city” really takes away from the danger Cal, as a Jedi, is doing by going into the literal belly of the Imperial beast.

@@_Wizzo to clarify Ugo’s comment just a bit more, the entire planet of Coruscant is covered by the city. The planet wide city is made up of several thousand Levels; the one in the game being Level 2046. What we usually see on screen is just the surface. The city extends down hundreds of kilometers to the original surface of the planet. I believe the city has approximately a TRILLION permanent residents and double that amount of people who are just passing through or visiting on any given day. Just a cool tid bit to put the absolute insane scale of Coruscant into perspective. Thanks for the video man!
I’m not a gamer but I love the SW gaming stories and assume Cal will crossover into live action. Watching this is a perfect way to enjoy the games full story in a more engaging way. Thanks for the vid 🙏🏼

@Dana White's Cocaine Dealer maybe when I get to that stage. I have a 3 month old, 3 year old and a 6 year old. Youngest two have no interest obviously and the youngest basically cries every 1.5 hrs lol. For now sleep > gaming but at one point last year I did do cloud gaming which was nice (fallen order).

I guess Bode did have one good thing he did for Cal, making him realize how important it is to not give up on his love for Merrin.
Jedi order used to preach about chastity and sh!t to turn the young people they recruit into tools, or rather weapons.
Cal was only lucky in this one regard, no one tried to force a very specific ideology about his connection to the force, and what it means to be "the good guy".
He's free, and he chooses to fight on his own accord because he wants to. 😁
That's why that kyber crystal doesn't bleed. He doesn't go all the way like Dagan, Bode, or Anakin.

I honestly hope that cal’s lightsaber color changes to purple in the sequel. It makes more sense with his connection to the force
jedi doesnt preach chastity, but detachment, which is like way worse imo. they can love or have sex or whatnot, just cant get attached. basically, only flings and no commitments, look at kenobi.
True but it is important to note one thing. Bode is basically the POSTER child of how attachments can cause problems without making you go all 'Darth Vader'. Before we really only had Anakin who went from 0 to psycho so quick we got whiplash. Bode is example of how even if you don't go mass murderer that attachments can cause problems. Bode wasn't as evil as vader but SO MANY people died and so much was lost as a result of him just wanting to save one person because of how important that person was to him. One one hand Merrin can help Cal not go TOO far but Cal still has tasted the darkside as a result of Bode's actions (considering his slow now becomes darkside infused in the endgame). Curious to see if that will have a affect on him in the future or not.
@itsdantaylor Lets all be honest if we were in the same position as Bode wouldn't we want to save our kid over others??? The Inquisitorius are no joke and what was he to do when he cant fight them. This game brings so much morol delamas and who knows what one would do to save a love one.
@@bgtechno93Truth. In a small way the story told in this game is art imitating life. I don't know too many parents with children who if they found themselves in Bode's situation would not have made the same choices. I pray that none ever finds themselves in that dilemma irl.
Im with you on Bode. I felt he was sus when he made it off the first planet. I felt even more sus of him when he stayed with Cordova.

Mate, not all Disney Star Wars are bad. Remember Andor, The Bad Batch, Rebels, and the first two seasons of The Mandalorian.

I just finished this game and all I have to say is - bring on the third game! With that said I had some bad feelings about Bode, but it really didn't hit home for me until he hugged Cal on Jedha and said he had to go do something and that's when I knew! After the fallout as I was chasing him down, all I kept saying was MFer! MFer! MFER!!!!! I couldn't wait to finally get this guy!!

They basically just made a new Durge, but it’s weird that there are multiple of that species all working together as warriors, they are for the most part a peaceful species

Great story for sure better than the sequels. It also get some interesting questions going. Is Cal still a jedi? Given his relationship with Merrin, is leaving the title of jedi necessarily a bad thing? I hope a 3rd game delves into those ideas.
I love this game. I thought it was amazing and devastating. When Rick the Door Technician popped up, I was like oh boy here we go, and he died with just one swing of the saber I had to pause and tried to process like wait what? And the plot twist was just... I was screaming. But yeah... I love this game.
I’m definitely buying this games after Final Fantasy: 16. Cause for once a protagonist looks like ‘ME.’ 🙃

I’m certain we’ll get to play as Merrin in the 3rd game, but after playing as Cere in that one mission, I was really hoping we’d get Merrin in the game too
Crazy how they took the trailer from 1313 or whatever that one canceled Star Wars game was and made it a reality here for the opening…it’s the exact concept underground levels city at the bottom.
On my first play through I was softlocked on my second I used a glitch that let's you after the forest aray quest, were u tame the kecko (I think) skip to tannalor , finishing the game too quickly, so watching this helps save time from a normal play through, I'll probably re play the game properly then move on to the rest of the game I own that need completing (thats probably 7 to 15 games).
I feel like i just watched a good movie. Cant wait till the next game.

I didn't trust Bode even from the commercials leading up to the game's launch. He reminded me too much of the Warp Darkmatter from that old Buzz Lightyear animated "straight to DVD" film. Like Warp, Bode was a smooth talking son of a gun, a charming best friend and ultimate bro to the main hero, who almost never uses the main hero's first name, but always the last name. (Never trust someone who only uses last names...)
But throughout my play through, I really let myself believe Bode was in fact an ally and a good dude, until one innocent moment made it click for me. In that tar swamp, as Bode and Cal are scouting the crashed ship where Zee is being held, Bode bids Cal farewell with a two finger salute as he calmly falls straight backwards off a cliff, only to effortlessly jetpack off to safety. When I saw that, I referenced Michael Jackson's song and called Bode a "smooth criminal". I knew right then and there.
I really loved this game from start to finish (story wise at least, gotta go back and get the rest of the trophies), maybe even more than the first one. I was kind of nervous for Survivor honestly, last time I was this excited for anything Star Wars related, it was The Last Jedi and I was heart broken. I was concerned I this game wouldn't live up to its lofty expectations but I was wrong and it did, it even exceeded those expectations. Truly an amazing sequel.
Im not really a starwars fan but this, this is a damn good story.
Is it just me but cal was rocking a Viking vib by the end of this video. I kept expecting a hidden blade to pop out

When I played I kept changing cal appearance and lightsaber color at different times when I felt like cal get and regress, I ended the game with a light jedi robe cal with a light Saber looking like temple guard, but I started the game looking like a rebel mid game it was kinda in between with changes here and there on the mood of the game
I'm concerned how this story essentially makes Luke's Jedi Academy redundant. That's a huge punch in the gut.
The way Vader said the fortress was still up and all that they did made no difference was deep that hit me hard starwars be so sad sometimes bro like wtf 😭😭💀then she fing DIES !!! The first time I watch that whole night talk between Cal and Bode (55:44), something felt off, like something wasn’t adding up. And then bode showed his true colors and I was like “Damn it! I KNEW It!”
Did anyone else have a bad feeling about that cutscene when they first got to it/watched it?
Edit: 58:42 yeah no I get you on that. I also didn’t trust bode at this point. The whole “bedtime story” bit made no sense. However, I believed bode was genuine in the start.

i’ve seen the movies and tv shows, but want to get further into the storyline. i’ve started the high republic book series and am looking into reading legends. i also want to understand the stories of the games, but i don’t have access to the game or anything i can use to play it. what do you guys recommend? do i need to know the game storylines?

i always had a bad feeling abt bode maybe in coruscant i didnt but when he became a main character on the mantis it crossed my mind allot. i didnt trust him whatsoever but just with that scene at the end where they hug and that i offically trusted him sort of. but throughout the game i thought his betrayal would be similar to landos from esb but him being a jedi really shocked me. i think it was a good twist and he is a good character, BUT BRO WHY DID HE CAP CORDOVA WTF

Really should have mentioned the points when Cal did (or at least could have) embrace the dark side. Those served as important story beats imo. Otherwise, excellent summary.
I didn’t like how the true enemy of the game was the Empire. I kinda liked the High Republic Jedi being the main enemy, but alas he was not
Bode was an idiot, you could have let the Anchorites, Cordova, Merrin, Greez go to Tanalor, and after bringing Cere to the Empire(he is going to have to bring someone to the Empire to get his daughter)he can secretly leave and meet everyone before they leave for Tanalor. Hell, if not Cere, bring in Cordova instead, and let Cere leave
