My grandparents when they used to live in Conroe TX bought a NIB polished brass one for their living room and I loved it. Always wanted a PB one. An old friend had a white one so these are childhood to me also. These came available as late as 2009 I believe
I miss good old 4 blades fans... this one is very neat. I don't know why they don't makes 4 blades classic ceiling fans anymore excepting the Hunter Original. I normally don't likes hugger fan but this one i love it.
I hear you! I have the same problem with the harbor breeze motor on a light fixture, but then I use styrofoam cushion on top of the motor house scene above the ceiling as a pad. And took a listen to the sound from upstairs to the back room, and it sounded very quiet and smooth. I didn't hear a thing after what I have done😊 so that's a good thing for me
As a fan collector who has seen many one thing that stands out with the chathams is that the blade brackets have significant drop from the motor probably three to four inches your Chatham from the old house was probably manufactured by air cool smc had better drop but the Chatham in general has better drop than any other hugger that’s the explanation for your great performance as a person who does not much care for Hampton bay this is the one I would actually like to have
