Second, I don't understand why she thinks she's entitled to tell Ashley how to feel and react to her husband's infidelity. Lady, it's not your relationship, even if you're the mistress that doesn't give you the right to have an opinion in their relationship.

My exact thoughts. Monique pisses me off so much, they way she’s acting like she has any say in their relationship, or is somehow entitled to give Ashley advice? Or to tell Ashley that she is overreacting and not to leave her husband. Ashley is such a sweet, funny person and I feel so bad that she’s going through this.
If my partner cheated, and the person he cheated with was acting like how Monique is acting, I would fly off the handle so fast, I honestly don’t even know how I would handle/cope with it. She has no empathy or respect whatsoever. It just makes me angry. On top of that, just because “we never met up” or nothing happened in person like Monique said, doesn’t mean it wasn’t cheating. The minute you go to another woman to meet your needs instead of going to your wife, that’s cheating imo. Especially in this day and age with the internet, cheating has become way easier, but people justify it because it wasn’t in person. It’s still cheating.

Exactly. At first I was confused as to why people were saying "this is so oddly specific" when referring to her scenario. No, it isn't really specific, it's actually super common. I'm sure most people know an uncle or older man who left their family for a younger woman. Also my grandma had taught me that SAME lesson all my life. She had no choice but to rely on a man bc of where/when she grew up, but I have a great opportunity to be independent so I should take advantage of it. The story didn't even really end up applying to her bc 1) she is a working woman and 2) her husband cheated on her with a sex worker but didn't necessarily leave her as far as we know (although she might dump him as she has a very good reason to).

Ya'll can be so judgemental about people who join the military as if most recruits don't go out and target low income minorities. The military gives huge incentives for joining and the huge lack of options makes it hard to deny such an opportunity. It's also incredibly beneficial for undocumented individuals since the military can help both you and your immediate family members gain legal status within the country.
If you want people (primarly young marginalized high schoolers) to stop joining the military, give them an option that can equally financially and academically sustain them.

Some background on Ashley: her daughter is from a previous relationship. Her daughter's father left her, andni don't think she ever told the full details except that she was in a really bad place after her daughters father left them. She does have a son with her husband, and i think they met when his daughter was veru young so he's adopted her
So when i first saw that video i took it as how her relationship before her husband really left a mark on her and made her anxious cause like, being left by the father of your baby, after that I probably wouldn't put anything past anyone either. Especially because there are some couples that understand that the other partner has beem through thst and understands it gives them security and peace to just have it there, not that they don't trust them. So i didn't think anything of it
I didn't know about the wedding ring, that...is odd...but her husband has a "character" on her videos of being grumpy or rolling his eyes at her antics, like an inverse of "oh my crazy husband" so the jokes were at Ashley's expense not his. The gel throw was an odd joke, but when i saw it, i didn't think much of it at the time.
There was also videos of them doing antics, like she would do skincare on him, theu did the dunking in water challange, etc.
They would have videos of him breaking character and laughing so anyone who really watched them would see that it was a thing they both did. But when she took him completely off the Internet that didn't strike me as too weird because someone could still recognize him from old videos, so i understood of part of thier agreement was his internet presence be completely taken down.
But...no wedding ring, that changes a lot...

I work in a skrip club(not a dancer) and lots of men come to dancers for basically therapy in the way that gel lady’s man did with this woman. But ALLLLLLLL of the dancers understand what it is and know NOT to get emotionally invested. And Monique does not have those boundaries and if she continues with her SW she’s going to ruin other relationships. Also IMO she has feelings for gel lady’s man

The woman also put in her bio on her second account “internet homewrecker” as soon as he posted the video of her talking to Ashlees husband. She loves the attention she’s getting and refuses to see the fault in her actions. She deserves the harassment imo

It sucks that she wanted this thing to be completely private and people still snooped. It’s good to know that he’s not a good guy but seriously people cannot be private anymore. You can literally see how much she wanted to keep this under wraps and it’s heartbreaking that it had to come out like that. I hope she’s doing well.

"technically she put herself on blast" a) no she didn't, she was literally trying to be as secretive as possible about the situation whilst still dealing with all those emotions and b) she's allowed to talk about her business if she wants because it's her business!! guess whose business it isn't... MONIQUE!!!

I had a really bad feeling something was going on when she deleted all the videos of her husband off of UA-cam. Obviously I don't know Ashley personally, but it just felt like something was off with her. She seemed very sad. Now that I know what is actually going on, I feel horrible for her. I can't imagine having my marital problems broadcasted to the world like this. I hope she's okay. :(

I saw that video and didn’t think much of it. I’m a casual viewer and missed all of the context of the previous video and controversy. Now that I’m seeing all of this, I feel so sad for her. She was trying so hard to put on a brave face and be respectful of her relationship, when obviously that same respect wasn’t afforded to her.

man i feel awful for the gel lady… she could’ve taken the “clout-seeking online drama route” and trashed on her husband and this other girl but instead was a reasonable adult and chose to keep her private life private and not use her position of influence to wreck anyone’s life… only for this girl to take that power out of her hands and make the decision for her. how absolutely demoralizing and dehumanizing, i hope the gel lady has a strong support system and is doing ok

I met my husband “later” in life. Had already had a successful career in my field of choice, and it’s still hard to be a stay at home mom. Was almost back in the workforce full time and we got pregnant AGAIN on birth control (second time). I love my kids so much but I do feel very vulnerable at times.
