It's okay, Emmy. The majority of us know and are cool with the fact that you're trying your best to not offend anyone. Don't sweat it too much, though. :)
+emmymadeinjapan Dear Emmy , You indeed told Israel what your true thoughts are by not reviewing any more treats from Israel , This story was covered by the Israeli tv an hour ago and disturbed a lot of your fans (including me).
+vickyzafran Can you send me a link to what she said. I didn't see it here in the states and I can't find anything. My Hebrew is not great, so if you could even just translate the important bit for me I'd be forever grateful. Just want to see it for myself before I stop giving views to someone who doesn't support Israel. :)
Pesek-Zman means in Hebrew "Time Out", and originally, the packaging had basketballs on it. And that Bazooka Joe is actually called just "Bazooka" and it is licensed by the american company Topps.
Erdem Öden Actually I'm quite intelligent if I might say so myself. You'd think the idiot, is the one who doesn't use punctuation... (or correct grammar) How is Israel a terrorist. It's impossible for a nation to be a single terrorist. (unless there's only one person in that nation) Also, terrorists must be organizations. Like Al-Qaeda, or Hamas. Kid killer? Yeah... I guess. Almost every country has killed a kid at some point.
Erdem Öden Most people who believe in what they say, will argue about it. So yeah... Oh, and learn how to write in English. You're making my head hurt.
מי שלח לה עבדי, אתם רוצים שהיא תיחנק? סתם, העוגיות האהובות עליי. Abadi is the best, though you should drink plenty of water with it. We call them choking cookies.
I love Israeli treats! My parents are from Israel so my family sends me stuff from israel, there isn't much of a variety here in America of Israeli treats
The tahini is RAW! You need to add water, spices and mix. I usually take half a glass of water and a spoon of raw tahini, add some lemon, black pepper and paprika or za'atar, mix it until it has the same texture, and then you dip things in it or pour it on things, like bread or salad.
EMMY!!!! IM ACTUALLY ON A TRIP IN ISRAEL RIGHT NOW!!!!! I've been trying so many of the foods you've had on your Emmy eats Israel, it's really been helpful when I'm trying to figure out what to eat as a snack!!
If you make plain vanilla cookies and roll them thin. Put a small amount of the date spread in the center . Fold the cookie over and pinch it shut. Bake .Brew up some of your favorite tea and enjoy. But let the cookies cool first . That date spread has the consisticy of molten lava when fresh from the oven.
forgot to say: I LOVE your channel. I've seen other Americans trying foods and stuff, but they are often very rude, and you are so sweet and pleasant, it is just a pleasure to watch. and I don't agree with all those Hebrew comments below - who all say they just follow you to see when you will eat Israel! ;)

I love Israel so much! Also the food is amazing 😍 wanna go there ASAP Greetings from Peru, there are a lot of jewish people here also, and they're so kind and gently 😉👍
Why is everyone getting so offended? She is simply trying out food, that's what she does. Chill people, I highly doubt that the first thing on her mind was to offend anyone. And if she did, it was definitely not purposely...
People come here to watch Emmy try food not to see other people's political views in the comments. I don't live in those countries so it doesn't affect me and I honestly don't care. The country I live in has its own problems. You telling me how you feel about other countries isn't going to help your problems so please stop. Do you really think some cookie factory is like "yes let's take this money we are making and donate it to our country to make weapons!" Of course not! Business aren't just going to give money away. And please stop putting everyone in one category. I'm sure there are people from Israel that disagree with their country and I'm sure there are Palestinians that disagree with Their country. You being horrible to some random person from another country isn't going to help. It's not like they can go rally the troops and end the war. No one wants to hear your negativity so please stop.
Jacob Usagi Couldn't agree more. I'm scanning the comments trying to look for more info on some of these treats and it's just filled with people who saw the word "Israel", completely ignored the fact that this video has NOTHING to do with any sort of conflict, and dumped their views on people who don't care/aren't interested in reading them. I have no opinion on the Israeli conflict and I'd appreciate it if people could, for lack of a better phrase, shut the fuck up about it in places where their opinions do not belong.
Hey Emmy! As an Israeli, I am very happy that you chose not to enter the political complexity of the Middle East, but concentrate on the local food - This is a professional attitude that encourages me to continue watching your lovely UA-cam videos. I have two things to say about the vid: 1) How come the music that opens your Israeli food tasting videos is always Hassidic -Jewish music or stressful music? Can you treat us with a happy musical track? 2) I love eating tahini in every possible way, and I think it is excellent even raw - straight from the tin - as miss M send it to you at this video. Only one thing is important- mix it really well, until there is no separation between oil and sesame paste and you’ll get a smooth paste. BE-TE-A-VON! (bon appetit!)
Thank you for these lovely videos. I just hope all the comments full of ignorance and hate never truly get to you. You don't control who sends you the food or from where but you're always respectful and do an honest review. Love your character and sweet personality. You always make me feel cheerful.
There are some people in this world that embrace other cultures' foods. We love the foods, and love the their culture. Everyone has a story in their foods. People are people, we just want to live, love, and do good in this world. Peace to all.
Hey Emmy , I'm from Israel and I would suggest you to mix the tahini with some lemon juice ,water and salt until it reaches a much more watery consistency ,ant until it tastes sour and yummy ! This is how we make it here at home , you can then dip pita into it or eat it with bread or as a side dip for breakfast, or even add it to your salad as a little punch:) and of course dip the pita crunch in it ! So simple to make and so yummy!
Amanda Pollex cant blame her look at all those provoking in the comment just because its Israeli food... and now tell me the world isnt biased and currupted. dont bother to answer i wont come back to reply. have a nice evening may you never have to fight radical muslims like we do.
adir999 don't comment on my response with your hatred , this is a channel about enjoying food, you are adding the fuel to the fire . door bother responding on my comment to begin with.
Hi Emmy, I am from Israel and I wanted to tell you that's your videos are awesome!! Can't wait for the next about another foods from Israel. Most of the comments in Hebrew are making fun of the Cheapest soda in Israel, Called Crystal Mint. It is the most glowing soda & Disgusting. It's cost $.25. So don't think this comments are making fun of you! If you get this Soad be aware!!😂😂
Emmy, thank you so much for doing this! We love you here in Israel and we're sending so much love and good vibes your way. And yes, I know this is an old video, but sometimes I watch the same video 2,000 times and I aint got no shame in my game! :)
Hey. What's written on the Bazooka Joe's joke is- Did you know? Elizabeth, queen of England, and her husband Philip, are relatives. They had the same grand-grandma- The queen Victoria!
I love, love, LOVE trying new gum flavors. The Extra Desserts were fun, and my best friend and I send gum care packages to each other all the time full of 'weird' gum flavors we've found.
To answer the gum question, As an adult, during the c19 months, I chew little pieces of peppermint gum behind my mask, when my breath needs freshening. I like the texture of ice breakers. But, the candy coated rectangle gums are easier to manage on the go.
Zaatar is an middle estren kind of spread. Usually we mix it with olive oil and spread it on bread. It has thyme, sesame and other spices and ingredients however the thyme is the main ingredient and that's why we call it Zaatar it's because we call the thyme in Zaatar in Arabic. Also regarding the tahini, it's more like seasoning. We add a little bit like tea spoon of tahini to hommos and add olive oil, lemon and salt for taste. Some would add more spices but I wrote the main ingredient. The tahini might be uses in many other dishes or souces. You might add tea spoon of tahini to yoghart and add lemon, salt and pepper and other spices and use it as a souces to dip a grilled chicken or beef. That's one of the dipping souces I use for barbecue.
The tehina can be eaten as is, which is how I eat it, but that's apparently because I'm from the US; Israelis for some reason find "golmit" (unrefined) tehina unpleasant unless it's cut with lemon juice and garlic,or eaten with hunmus, I like the nuttiness of it, though. You should however mix it very thoroughly to get the proper consistency.
why don't you do it? I mean you guys are already pros in killing innocent people. And PLEASE just keep going with your hateful/ignorant/disgusting comments, it actually helps me to show how fucked up your mentality is.
You guys?, your comments serve no purpose. She's eating food, the food is not even produced in the occupied territories. either get that brain of yours working, or off yourself.
BabyLovex3 Look, I hate what the Israeli government is doing, however this girl is just eating food, no need to bring any of this into the comments. You will just create arguments. I too want Palestine to be free. But please, not here. Do it where it counts, for example on Facebook to create awareness.
Get out of the comments. You are just being disrespectful to Emmy. She made this video not to support Israel and not to bash Palestine. This video had nothing to do with what is happening is those countries and it is extremely stupid and rude for you to post this. The only reason you posted this is to get a reaction.
MrD3STR03R Actually, some of the Israeli things Emmy eats are produced in the west bank by Israeli factories that employ Palestinian and Israeli-Arab workers (who get full and legal payment and rights), who are the majority of people who suffer from pro-Palestinian comments and movements that boycott these products.
When I was in junior high my English teacher didn't allow gum in her classroom, and I had her class right after lunch. So, after lunch, I would chew a piece of gum, but instead of spitting it out right when I walk through the English classroom door, I would press the gum to the roof of my mouth. I talked with a lisp, but it was worth it to keep the gum.
haven't checked all the comments to see if anyone said this yet (as you mentioned there are many nasty comments and they hurt my feelings, so yeah). the tehina that you got in the jar, is called "raw tahina" there are instructions how to make the spread on the side. you aren't meant to eat it plain like that. you mix it with 1:1 water and it then becomes emulsified. then you add lemon juice, salt, garlic whatever to taste. but lemon juice is a must! then you can use it as a dip or make it a bit more watery as a dressing.
My favorite gum is Trident's Perfectly Peppermint in the chick-let style pieces. Its so hard to find a easily accessed gum that's peppermint without some other weird flavor added to it I was just trilled when Trident finally made this flavor.
7:00 This is Tahinit Al-Arz from my city - Nazareth, it is the largest Arab city in the Holy land. You should've added some water, lemon juice and a bit of salt. You add Lemon and salt and then you add water gradually till you get the consistency you desire. Personally I like a bit runny.
My older relatives always would put out halvah for guests so it is a very nostalgic flavor for me but I have never seen it like that with wafer. I want to try the date spread!! Thanks for this video :)
The text of the comic is hard to read, but the bit after ward says "Did you know? Elizabeth the queen of England and her husband Philip are related. They have a great-great-grandmother in common, Queen Victoria!"
Love you Emmy! I think you should have gotten more directions on how to eat some of these though, lol I wouldn't pick these snacks to send, but hey, at least little miss M gave it a go :)
I'm chewing a Bazooka Joe right now! It's not easy to find it in Brazil, I bought in an Asian Market. My sister has a thing for asian gums, so we bought Bazooka Joe and a coffee gum, sounds weird but was delicious
Interesting you say the chocolate coins remind you of Easter....in NZ they are always a popular stocking filler at Christmas, but not really sold at Easter time 😊
the most known Palestinian candy brand is "allahu akbar sweets" - their "free plasetine" candy bars do not only tastes and smells like shit they also look like a little crap pieces SOOO CUUUTEEE
great video, Emmy, the gifts she made for your boys are soooo cute...let's see....staying on topic. Gum habits? I Loved Bazooka Joe as a kid, I also liked this gum that used to come with temporary tattoos VERY similar to Bazooka Joe, but they also came in grape. There was also the gum with the gel in the middle(freshenup I think? Can still find it in general stores and diners), but they never sold the classic flavor and wasn't really a fan of mint then..it was too "hot" for me, but I'd get it just for the gel factor, haha. Nowadays if I need gum I usually go for extra or stride-really helped when I quit smoking! :)
prihonim is like a healthy diet snack(: abadi cookies are kinda hard to be eaten lol you should drink water or something with these. with the chocolate coins we usually play in hanucka. pesekzman is the best! we eat thina with humus .. acually my dad has a humus restrunaut here.. is you'll visit israel oneday let me know lol.. there's also falafel(: sorry if i had any english mistakes
Great video :) Small correction though: The second chocolate coin is supposed to be a Swiss franc, 'Helvetica' is indeed a font ;) but also the Latin name for Switzerland: Confoederatio Helvetica. Switzerland still uses their franc and not Euro.
Hi Emmy, thanks for another great video. My favorite gum is Bubble King, I like their red gum balls. I'm pre-diabetic and overweight (working on that) and so haven't had a gumball the last 5 years (since I was diagnosed), but after I reach and maintain a healthy weight I plan on re-incorporating them back into my diet, being more mindful of their carbs and calories, info I didn't know much about but now understand abit better. My current favorite gum is sugar free Spry chewing gum sweetened with xylitol and sold on netrition.com a low carb store. It's abit pricey so I don't get it very often but I like the taste and it's kinder to my blood sugar than sugar sweetened gum. Best regards.
The 5 franc coin you hold up isn't from France before the euro was introduced. It's a Swiss coin. Helvetica means Switzerland in Latin (it's not just a font!!).
Lorena Amato Yup, also in the Netherlands and Belgium. AFAIK, the idea of chocolate money originated there, then American companies made copies of it for use in jewish celebrations (Hanukkha?), and from there it spread to many jewish communities all around the world.
as far as what is going in Israel, last time I am aware, they have been an ally to the US for over 60 years. OKAY, moving on, and let's comment on the video itself, and comment on how good the treats looks. I think the reason why there are a bit of American coins in those chocolate coins is , again, because America's 2nd longest-lasting ally is Israel. (longest is Britain by 125 years, or so.)
It's okay, Emmy. The majority of us know and are cool with the fact that you're trying your best to not offend anyone. Don't sweat it too much, though. :)

Looks so yummy. Lv ya emmy! Continue being awesome
My older relatives always would put out halvah for guests so it is a very nostalgic flavor for me but I have never seen it like that with wafer. I want to try the date spread!! Thanks for this video :)
That date paste could be good for making all kinds of healthy energy bars or healthy snacks!!!
The text of the comic is hard to read, but the bit after ward says "Did you know? Elizabeth the queen of England and her husband Philip are related. They have a great-great-grandmother in common, Queen Victoria!"
i love your videos so much
I love Israel will visit it again hopefully around October. I'll remember this video when I eat snacks over there.
Zahtar sandwiches are the best. I always eat one with my morning tea! 😊
pesekzman is commonly eaten in braektime, thus its name, wich means breaktime.
Long live Israel. The best and most civilised country in the Middle East. From a foreigner.
👏👏👏
That laugh though @5:45 so cute!!
Love you Emmy! I think you should have gotten more directions on how to eat some of these though, lol
I wouldn't pick these snacks to send, but hey, at least little miss M gave it a go :)
i support Israel !
I fell in love with Acacia gum i found in the Asian market here!
just one note: Euro didn't take over Swiss Franc. They are still in use :)
The theeni (as we arabs say it) can taste 10x better if you mix it with some water, lemon juice, and a bit of salt
I can't chew gum anymore because of a medical condition, but I used to love bubblegum and Big Red. Yum!
I'm chewing a Bazooka Joe right now! It's not easy to find it in Brazil, I bought in an Asian Market. My sister has a thing for asian gums, so we bought Bazooka Joe and a coffee gum, sounds weird but was delicious
Interesting you say the chocolate coins remind you of Easter....in NZ they are always a popular stocking filler at Christmas, but not really sold at Easter time 😊
I died when she said "USA represent."
That tahini-like item would be nice on warm pita with a drizzle of honey.
I love the bari sax intro!
Finally it came out
Baleen! I only chew gum when I'm playing video games. It helps me to focus, for some reason!
the most known Palestinian candy brand is "allahu akbar sweets" - their "free plasetine" candy bars do not only tastes and smells like shit they also look like a little crap pieces SOOO CUUUTEEE
great video, Emmy, the gifts she made for your boys are soooo cute...let's see....staying on topic.
Amazing stuff!
For best results: Add a generous amount of tahini with chickpeas for the best hummus. At least 1/2 cup of tahini for 1 cup of chickpeas.
Please.
3:14 Its a grape juice. the name is "Tropit" and thats tasty. i live in israel so.. yay?
hi emmy, I'm from Israel and me and my family LOOVVEE tropit and abady😘
I watch it when there was 295 views!! I wasn't on the 301 for once, yes!! :) I made the magic shell! It's amazing! :)
Hi Emmy I'm a fan I really love ur vids
Hi Emmy! Kiddo Craft suggestion: Those whales or something inspired by them :)
In Germany we have this chocolate
money with caramel inside *_*
Lorena Amato Yup, also in the Netherlands and Belgium. AFAIK, the idea of chocolate money originated there, then American companies made copies of it for use in jewish celebrations (Hanukkha?), and from there it spread to many jewish communities all around the world.
DRSNova yes _ ^_^
Hbdi is the best cookie ever 😂😂😂
You mean Palestine?
No Israel you dumbfuck
Corrupted diamon by your name you and isreal are corrupted. i really dont need to say anymore
palestine my ass.
dsbeats7 What's Palestine?
No we meant your mom
Hi Emmy. I apologize you were sent THE WORST snacks possible from Israel....
Abadi is lifeeeee
You can be assure this is Israel. Don't noticed the bad comments of the bad people that made from hate. You are great. And thanx Ann from israel
as far as what is going in Israel, last time I am aware, they have been an ally to the US for over 60 years. OKAY, moving on, and let's comment on the video itself, and comment on how good the treats looks. I think the reason why there are a bit of American coins in those chocolate coins is , again, because America's 2nd longest-lasting ally is Israel. (longest is Britain by 125 years, or so.)
