- Today we will be building a new house for all our farms and storage in survival Minecraft. This survival episode includes some enchanting for our tools and getting a nether portal set up. So much work still needs to be done in our Minecraft survival world so it time to get to work.

That storage room is looking great! And too bad about that soul sand valley. Whenever I go into the nether, I like to be in a nether wastes biome. No surprises!

Absolutely fabulous video Blue. I am loving the new house/storage area. Can not wait to see the expansion into the farm areas below. That room was decorated great and loving the barrels. Do you get the same amount of room in the two barrels to the double chest? I am still loving that spot you picked out. I am in a snow valley that is totally surrounded and have snow foxes as pets. Keep up the great videos and I can not wait for the next one. ☕😄
Thank you David, it was fun decorating the storage room, I have so many ideas now and can't wait to get further down the hill to the farms. One barrel is equal to a single chest so 2 barrels is the same as a double chest but barrels don't effect performance so less lagg. Snow valley are great, they work perfect for Nordic builds and Winter Cabins =)
@@BlueNerdMC You have that right and it opens on to a nice snowy plain so great. I just catch myself being repetitive on interiors so have to watch myself and then I go watch a couple of yours to get a different perspective and helps me out loads.

Love the cliff work, I keep rewatching some of your creativr videos to remind myself that cliff and grass areas don't need to be overly busy. How do you keep yourself from trying to overdose on every type of flower in every cliff or grassy area?

Always a pleasure watching a good player, with good content, in neat videos. Keep the good work up, because we're getting used to it ;)
On a side note, while chests caused many lag issues in the past, mojang made significant changes and now it's not as bad as it used to be.
Item frames, on the other hand, can cause massive lag spikes because both the frame AND its content are considered as entities, which means each labelled chest adds 2 more entities, each requiring both memory and CPU time.
If one has a big storage, it's best using signs, or blocks as label.
Finally get to sit down to watch this video 😊 i love this series! Your builds always look so complicated and beautiful but they really aren't. They're inspiring as well!! I have been slowly but surely making a medieval kingdom and it's almost completely inspired by your build style!! As for these survival let's plays, it's fun to see how you play and react to some situations in a more *you* kind of way where as tutorials are a bit more professional if that makes sense lol

Your diagonal building style is actually entirely unique to you. In the last 8 years of watching Minecraft videos I’ve never seen anyone else do that and it’s super interesting because it shouldn’t look good in theory, but it does lol

I suddenly realize how awesome it would be if a future update made a double chest version of a barrel a thing. Instead of 2 wide, it would go 2 back, or maybe a way of upgrading the barrel similar to how you upgrade Diamond to Netherrite with the smithing table. Would still be 1x1, but the capacity of a double chest?
