Going to other countries and getting to know their culture is great if you’re respectful (and not going during a pandemic), but when you use your privilege and exploit them it’s extremely problematic because you’re disregarding the consequences of what you’re doing (using them like a toy instead of respecting the country, people, and culture).

So, the indigenous people can't have lands in strategic places since they're less privileged (white ppl's currencies always have more value) and the land owner (though indigenous) doesn't have much choice bc foreigners have more money. The critics did this album dirty…maybe they should go do a course in English and Literature because her Lyricism goes straight over their heads. Also, I don’t appreciate how they spoke of Jack Antonoff’s music production. Lorde clearly stated making a record for her and not one for Mr Antonoff. Regardless of that fact, I strongly believed he did well in conveying each song’s feeling well. I was transported to a new place with every song I listened to on the album. Mood Ring is hands-down the best song on the album to me, the biting satire on wellness culture is a great theme that not many artists-singers- have addressed yet. On the whole I personally found Solar Power a little bit underwhelming, but Mood Ring’s totally lived up to Lorde’s grand reputation in the music industry

Most souvenirs are made by child laborers or tour guides are often minors pushed to work to survive. Some tourists also go here for prostitution, minors sadly get involved or trafficked for that purpose. I mean, the govt is at fault for failing to regulate these things, but tourists do take advantage of the low rates and the poverty here.
