I have a 2022 CRV-EX. I have XM radio and fog lights. The 2025 CRV-EX looks nice but the dealbreaker for me is no XM radio and no fog lights. I will look elsewhere for new vehicle.
The hybrid does not make sense for so many people. It cost about $3000 (2600 plus tax, and if you finance, don't forget the extra interest you pay on the $3000) more, and only get 36 instead of 30mpg, so 20% less. With gas price at $4/gal in California, and ai drive 8000 miles a year, I will save whopping $176/year on fuel. To break even, I will have to drive the car for 16 years. On another words, if you want to break even in 8 years, you will have to drive 16000/year for 8 straight years, and by the time you break even, your car has 130k miles, good luck with your hybrid battery to last that long. You may, but statistically, you won't.
In the grand scheme of the things that make a car great, does that really matter? Certainly bigger is nicer for screens up until a point but things like ride, cargo space, ergonomics, reliability, seat comfort, safety ratings, passenger space, seat comfort, noise levels, handling, etc matter far more to whether or not a car is any good to own
What trim level would you pick?
Hybrid sport-l.
EX-L AWD or Hybrid Sport-L AWD.
EX used to be my favorite trim. Cloth seat + sunroof. I had a CRV EX, Crosstour EX, Accord EX, but those EX also had foggies. I miss foggies.
Your Crosstour was the last EX to offer cloth seats, foggies, V6 and a sunroof.
My sister, Maureen; has a 2013 CRV and I have been trying to get her to buy a new 2025 CRV in red. She would love it!!
Great review!
I have the EX I wanted the EXL but I did not want the leather seats to maintain.
You missed 2025 CRV SPORT L HYBRID AWD. I bought it 2 months ago. I'm enjoying it.
Thanks I have another video next week comparing all 3 hybrids too :) congrats on yours!!
ex-l has always been honda sweet spot value and features

5:17 my favorite part
I think the rear 4 hooks is for a cargo net.
You are correct about no SiriusXM in the EX, only available on the EX-L, Sport-L & Sport Touring.

Looks awesome but that 7” screen is pathetic for 2025!
Most wired things in this car… worst !!!
