My older brother kept a few pigeons when i was growing up before i die i pray that god would let me have just a few more to see them soar and hook around his heavenly sky.

Is Sam's pigeon shop still up on Boston Post road?, i worked for his brother Joey or as better known "Blackie" Sams Pet Shop on 180th st. off Crotona ave from 1963 thru 67. I've returned to the Bronx from time to time, but it seems all the Pigeon shops have moved. If you can provide me with an address to a pigeon shop where i may visit it would be great. By the way i had my coop's up on a warehouse on Webster ave while the Cross Bx expressway was being built. thanks

The building behind ours used to have a pigeon coop on the roof, it was great seeing the guy fly them around! A shame it was torn down one day.
Yeah this guy told me sometimes the building owners complain or the neighbors complain and they have to tear them down.

Keeping pigeons is so addictive, and ive been keeping pigeons for 3 years now. And we started keeping pigeons when uncle gave us 3 pairs.

They are not mixed with English tipplers, The breed is called New York City flights, they should fly for a couple hours
