    These exercises are great. I've been trying to find productive ways of turning parts of riding days into workouts because during the season I don't have time for both. Today I spent my first 7-8 runs just lapping greens/blues and doing the pop/ollie grabs/touches, switch and regular. It was killer leg/cardio training, practically out of breath at the bottom. But even better: when I transitioned to the jump line, the grabs were so automatic and coordinated after all the flat reps. I never thought of practicing grabs on flats before. It's challenging and just an awesome addition.

    I also learned how to crail grab and rocket air by using that method of quick repititions while going down the fall line. Exhausting but effective!!

    Awesome! I started hitting jumps last week. I LOOOOVE IT! These tips are on point and come at the right time for me :) I am curious though. Why is there such a thing as a '' no grab zone ''? Is it because people were saying like : Oh yeah, I can do nose grab! And they just kinda grab the corner? With my very little knowledge about snowboard, it just feels like snobinism. I really don't see any reason why, culturally, some grabs didn't make the cut. If someone could enlighten me, I'd be glad :)

      That's exactly what it is; snowboard elitism. Grabbing "tindy" is considered tacky since you're supposed to reach farther back towards the tail. Not really a huge deal unless you're competing in competitions. I doubt anyone in a terrain park is going to give you a hard time for doing it.

  • @viento99

    Is it possible to do a 360 with a toe grab (or rocket air with double toe grab) or would the grab+spin throw off one's balance and prevent the landing?

  • @taissiobrito
    @taissiobrito 2 роки тому

    Why are there no grab zones? Is that cause it’s unsafe or just cause it’s not visually good looking?

  • @joegeist3600
    @joegeist3600 3 роки тому

    Helpful man but the flexibility remains my issue. I get plenty of pop, spins are getting better. I’ve always had a big vertical and quick/explosive athlete but always tight-need that flexibility. Suggestions?
