I know this comment is late to the party, but I just tossed a faithful mastervac out after a few years of service. The power button failed and worked intermittently. I had a mastervac with 2!!!! hoses, ALL accessories, the wands the vacuum brush etc etc. HAD A SILENCER on the the exhaust. Cost me $99. Now I replaced it with a rigid . The rigid is as loud as all get out, the plastic was set to the "cheap" thickness. The hose is a piece of garbage. I mean cheap and brittle. The hoses on the Mastervac are amazing, durable and super flexible. In fact if you want that type of hose on a rigid you have to buy it separately. Now it's been a few years since I bought mine but wow. Talk about a real wakeup call to just how good the build quality the accessories are.
Do you not have to take take out your filter to drain water? Does it need bags when vacuuming up debris? Also how does one make it compact I.e. where does the hose Rap around for tight storage as I'm in an apt with no storage. Your video was excellent. And thank you for taking the time to assist me. Do I just pull out hose and place it some around build in filter? Cheers from Toronto Canada

Can you use it in a soak wet carpet?

Storing the hose is such a joke. The springs on the hose holders are so weak that the hose slips out without issue. That’s my only gripe.
There's nothing about installing!!!
