SHITING myself to go to foreign legion because I cut myself up. Healthy kid. Just got abit lost and it was a trend I’ll admit it. really messed up my future. My I’m trying !
Hi I know this is an old video for you now but I had a question. Did you join initially as a reservist and then transfer to regular? How easy was it to transfer? I left the Army in 2016 and I'm looking to rejoin as a reservist with the thought process of maybe rejoining as a regular down the line.
Hi, the transfer process depends on your level of experience and your trade. It can be as simple as an application form and an interview. But in other cases you may need to do phase 2 again. Overall, straightforward and very possible to do.
A lot of young lads n lasses in this comment section. If you want to know about what’s happening with your application or what happens WHEN you apply. Contact your local unit! Recruiters both regular and reserve are more than happy to talk about what they do. It’s their bread and butter. She is absolutely right about GPs being a pain in the dick, then of course little problems that ‘pop-up’. My advice, as a recruiter, this new module system of training for reserves is amazing. Please get in touch with your recruitment team to ensure your application is getting the proper attention. The army will do as much as humanly possible for you. Absolutely cracking effort from this lass for documenting her early start in the process. But of course the training staff at AC are going to be harsh and effective, they need to know you have the resilience to deal with being harshly treated.
@@globalnews6748 im going RA but on the assessment you will do bleep test, medicine ball throw and mid thigh pull but finding motivation can be hard but if you really want to be in the army then chuck them trainers on and train pal

Completely agree with Keith's comments. Qualifications last a life time but if you're planning on joining take your time and do your research. Only done almost 3 years and glad I've got qualifications to fall back on.
I’m going into the RAF at the moment. I had a very similar experience to you with school, the best advice I can give is finish your A Levels as It will open a lot of doors for you. Also use your time to do some extra stuff, try take up some hobbies and stuff outside of school as that will really really REALLY help your application and make the interviews really easy.
hi nice explaination, enjoyed your video. can you tell how commonwealth countries foriegners join british army? can you make a video on that and which roles we can join if pass their eligibility standards & how to apply? thanks
If you think that your experience during your selection centre was hard then you will have a hard time during basic training, it isn’t a holiday camp, if you can’t hack the assessment centre I would suggest you take some time and access whether you are Army material, not everyone is and it would be no disgrace to decide your not up to it.

I did mine on the 11th of December .... I live about 15 mins from lichfield so I was lucky
Love your enthusiasm
“it took me like four weeks to get that done” (medical documents)
i’ve been waiting for my learners license for 3 months, it isn’t army related but it’s starting to really piss me off.
Such a big help got mine coming up hopefully thanks to you I’ll pass no surprises !
what was the accommodation like? Did you get your own room
Good day please i need you assistance with the recommendation for common wealth
under the army
Super accurate report 💯 did you also do the duck walk after your squats coz we had to and i'm starting to think they were taking the piss 😂 you're a good storyteller 👏🏽 all the best with your training and joining is something you'll never regret! 🇬🇧💂♀️
haha no i didn't have to & thank you!
lmfao i had to do that i thought they were trying to take the puss out of me 😭😂
So I’ll need to do the technical selection test. Can I ask what kind of maths it is please?
By the way, this is a perfect video! Thank you for all the info!
thank you! it's all basic C/B GCSE maths. so fractions, equations, algebra, time/distance/speed, percentages, area, volume, ratio, angles of a triangle - probs some more but that's what i can remember. they give you a calculator and it's multiple choice.
I'm going away to do my assessment today, I scored 54 on the test cognitive so I better keep that score if I want to join REME
What have I missed out, The last time I watched you, you were going to med school and now your making videos about the army? Are you joining
She's joining as a medic
Really helpful series of videos for potential reservists 👍 My GP is being slow with the medical history forms, coming up to 8 weeks now and they reckon they may have lost the poxy form 😆
that's so annoying! i had to pester them on the phone every week before they did it! best of luck!
Im off to Whittington today for a cadet course!
When I did assessment no one spoke on the coach there only way back aha x
Same here
How did you find it
Hi.whats the wait tym bfore getting to SDC after assessment
Prepping for PRAC as a reservist Para. Absolutely bricking it but excited as hell! Very interesting vid
Thank you & best of luck!!
So I have been in 3 years , the army ain’t bad or good, it’s what u make of it. The assessment is easy as hell.
This as changed dramaticlly since i joined in 1983 and for the worse it seems. To behonest most wouldnt have made it in the 80s .
I'm 15 I'm gonna start to Train then when Im ready in about a year or 2 I'm gonna apply
It been my dream to join the infantry, just don’t have any sponsor to stay with
This video was really helpfull thanks. So Much
Guys help me please! How do I work on the mid thigh pull without the gym??
I never went to the gym. I just used dumbbells and a weighted vest whilst doing squats, lunges etc.
@@ChelsieAngeles thank you 🙏 like without this video I would of lost hope with the AC💗
@@ChelsieAngeles hey what weight dumbbells did u use❤️
Don’t worry about being too strong with it that’s what basic training will do. It will help with your strengths and weaknesses I’m coming up to my 2 year mark and nearly finishing my royal engineers trade course and I have enjoyed every bit of it including the shit bits
@@crazyassproductio what trade you in? Got a few courses here who are almost done
Does anyone know what requirements are for women (infantry) because I am unsure if I am fit enough and also I keep seeing and hearing different standards for the fitness sector and also how many push ups are ideal or to aim for?
The requirements are standardised and not based on gender. You can find them on the British army website.
Thank you!
haha this was really entertaining. there was lots of times during this when i burst out lauging because of the situations you were in, and how i can relate to them. Im not sure if i will be doing this as i had a medical phone call where i was asked lots of medical questions, and i had online tests which were the same as the ones you described with the memory and maths. i have a phone interview tommorrow morining. i know you are joining as a reservist so it may be different to the regulars but how long was and is the process of joining for you? I cant seem to find anything on the website or from other videos. I only know that it can be different for everyone.
i applied in july, my med/tests/interview were all august and septemeber, then AC in december and attested end of jan. best of luck for tomorrow!
@@ChelsieAngeles thanks
Currently in Italy awaiting to go to french foreign legion. catholic from Northern Ireland. Couldn’t join British army for the security of my family.
You did this before corona right ? from when you uploaded they werent doing the 2 day stays or ?
They’re no longer doing 2 day stays. I did this Dec 10th 2020.
A lot has changed since 2001 😂😂, first thing we did was toilet with a tube, medical. Then grub!
Nice one!🤙 I got my assessment on Wednesday 😂
@@ewanbosowitz8 passed it🤙 with the horrible weather 😂
@@ewanbosowitz8 I wanna say one person did but I'm not overly sure😂
@@georgemanchip4840 what you joining? They told me to get fit for the assement but I have no motivation at all.
@@globalnews6748 im going RA but on the assessment you will do bleep test, medicine ball throw and mid thigh pull but finding motivation can be hard but if you really want to be in the army then chuck them trainers on and train pal
Got mine on. The 26th jan up in york very scared aha dont know what to expect hopefully i find comfort in this video
If there are any full time soldiers watching I need some advice. I'm currently 16 (17 in April) and I am currently doing my A-levels. I'm not enjoying school anymore and my dream since I was 13, was to be a CMT in the Army, I don't know whether to finish my A-levels or to sign up now? Any advice will be very useful, thank you.
@@keithpringle3940 Thank you, I appreciate it!
@@minizip8348 Thank you very much! Will do. Good luck with the RAF
@@keithpringle3940 air ops control officer, well that’s if Crapita don’t screw me over due to a tiny medical thing I had as a kid
So helpful due to it all changing because of Covid
hi nice explaination, enjoyed your video. can you tell how commonwealth countries foriegners join british army? can you make a video on that and which roles we can join if pass their eligibility standards & how to apply? thanks
This is really helpful thank you!!!
Great video, excited to know there's no more 45 push up and sit ups
So proud of you! Smashed it!!
thank you ☺️
If you think that your experience during your selection centre was hard then you will have a hard time during basic training, it isn’t a holiday camp, if you can’t hack the assessment centre I would suggest you take some time and access whether you are Army material, not everyone is and it would be no disgrace to decide your not up to it.
Whats the drills u said we could know ..seal?
C DRILS - they're on the website
C - courage
D - discipline
R - respect for others
I - integrity
L - loyalty
S - selfless commitment
Was there no team tasks on your AC ? That was the most fun part 🤣🤣
No, they cancelled them during covid sadly!
Do you think the British army should have major investment and boost numbers to a standard 150,000 full time soldiers
Awseome vid and good insight to how the day is run during Covid. Was the cognitive test much different to the "Act practise test" that's on the website? Thanks!
no it wasn't!
Hi I have a question! How did the medics decide whether your asthma was an issue? I have asthma that's well controlled but I'm worried it will mean I'm ineligible. Thanks so much:)
I think it was mainly because i haven't had symptoms since 2001 😂 The best bet would be to enquire or apply anyway and see what they say!
@@ChelsieAngeles ohh yes that would definitely help haha! thank you i think i will x
