Sam you are a very clever young man. Everything in this video is completely correct. I was bullied so much years ago and i was convinced that was the reason i developed OCD and i was worse than everyone else. how wrong i was. Thanks to Rob and all at OCD recovery i came to realise my beliefs were just not true and i had just as much ability to over come and recover as all of you. Thank you all so much for showing me the way through.❤

Sam, this may be my favorite video I’ve watched in OCD Recovery. Thank you 🙏 it’s exactly what I needed to hear.

Wow, this is a really important video. I came from a family with a lot of addictions and also my main career was so difficult the first 3 years when I found out I had ocd. My job saw the anxiety, it made me look less intelligent because I would get stuck on some symptom. Getting over this was so difficult because I would constantly bring these 2 issues up in my mind a lot. Thank you for helping me forget my past and move on.

Thanks for openly talking about your own experience and that of the team how you all also struggled with this.

I was thinking so much about my past and obsessing about memories that it started to feel like i was crazy and couldn't understand that i wasn't actually in the past anymore. Everything became so blended together because i was so stuck in my mind. A complete haze of fear. Scariest thing i have ever gone through. Truly scared i will go insane sometimes. Looking for answers in my past was a huge mistake.

Sam, please help None of this makes sense, so why does it happen, see below👇
A person can feel a glimpse of an intrusive thought starting and then they seem to bring the thought on and create the thought even more
It’s horrific and disturbing to have intrusive thoughts but why do we seem to consciously create the thoughts??. It’s us doing that surely

Hey Justmadeit - Because you're petrified of having that scenario play out in your mind.

@@OCDrecoveryNick Can you explain a little more when you say that it’s because if I’m petrified of it playing out in my mind, if so then why would I think the thought or consciously seem to create it ??
