    Iv seen one in person and the video doesn’t do it justice on how amazing this looks for a mower. Talking with the owner you could tell how much he loved the mower.

    Nice mower Jimmy. My only negative is over time it could be like an excavator where the tracks pop off now and again.

      Yeah, I would like to see one after about 2 years use and have a look at how everything is operating.
      It's built like a tank though, so I should think it will stand the test of time?

    It looks like a great machine, Jimmy, well made and well thought out! And you have made a great review, well done! It's making a good job of the brambles, I wonder what it would be like cutting through brambles in the summertime when everything is growing.
    It never fails to amaze me what you can find in long grass and overgrown areas! At least there was no visible damage, that's a good thing about a flail mower! I guess there may have been more damage, had it been a rotary mower. Do you know what size and type of engine powers the machine?

    • @JimmyTheMower
      @JimmyTheMower  Рік тому +1

      It's a 37hp briggs and stratton vanguard engine and 2 fuel tanks so it's got plenty of poke 👍

      @@JimmyTheMower Thank you Jimmy, for your reply, it's appreciated.
      That's a reasonable-sized engine, I have used the Briggs & Stratton twin engines, not the EFI engines. I've used the EFI Kohler engine, I can't believe the difference an EFI engine makes against the old-fashioned carburettor models. The fuel economy and the response is so much better!

    Why Briggs and Stratton gas engine? That’s already got red flags for me plastered all over it. An economy residential grade engine in it? No thanks, I’ll pass on that. As much as they cost, they could easily put the Yanmar Diesel in the back of it and double the fuel efficiency, and power and torque. But if they have to stick with a gas engine, it needs to have a Kawasaki! A commercial grade engine the best that money can buy for a gas engine in a mower.

    • @JimmyTheMower
      @JimmyTheMower  6 місяців тому

      I'm a big fan of a kawasaki engine but these briggs and stratton commercial ones seem to do ok.
      I haven't had one break down yet.

    Mower looks cool but the one I bought was a piece of junk. You name it either fell a part or broke. The tracks rip and tear and look at what they want for a new set. Dont be a dummy like I was stay away from Altoz

      @@JimmyTheMower I've got 11 acres of farm land to mow. But when you get to this price, it starts getting close to a full on compact tractor and loader that can do so much more. Hard to decide.

    Huge area? Didn’t you measure it? How long did it take? Gallons or liters per hour ? How abs look at the blades? They cut steel and you didn’t think to show us the damage or lack there of? How about a close up of the debris? You know what the results are close up on the ground especially after those brambles. Ok try but as far as review, poor

    • @JimmyTheMower
      @JimmyTheMower  2 роки тому

      Sorry it didn't have everything in, I was doing a job for a Parish council ( free of charge ) and I thought I would make a video.
      I cleared an area about the size of half a football pitch in less than and hour, it used a quarter of a tank of petrol, not sure how much that is because they filled it up for me.
      I did try to photograph the blades but the machine was too heavy yo lift properly and the ground was soft and it was around -2°c with the wind chill but trust me, there was minimal damage to the swing tips.
      If you get in touch with Fentons of Bourne they will bring one down for a demonstration, they are seriously good machines for clearing scrub.
      All the best,
      Jimmy
