Green on copper is corrosion that will return, like the statue of liberty. A quick n easy fix in a bind is to insert and remove it, plug it in and out, and it should make a contact possible for a temporary read. Blow compressed air in between p l uggings and spray ELECTRONIC contact cleaner also and let it dry. Drying should take seconds with compressed air. Depending on model, check wires on the reverse of where you plug it in.
On a side note, on modern cars, silly errors like brake hold on a modern Mercedes will not work on a old battery. I had that issue for years but battery was recharging fine on its own. Modern electronics are gonna be a serious headache for DIYers. I remember when most desk top computers were fixable, now all laptops are disposable. Think abou that. 😂 im too old, plan to lease cars from now on. Too much a beach to fix by myself or even most mechanics (parts changers). Hardly anyone tried to figure things out anymore.
