      U can basically keep tapping the chargeup while repositioning, makes it easier to spray the titan with your load all over his face once u get in position

      It was my first encounter with a titan . The team was low level randoms, and nobody knew what to do, so I thought "I should at least try it"... and i killed him. Since then I knew: This weapon will always be with me against bugs!)

      I’ve done it before but the titan must be damaged from the sides where armor is missing. Then it takes forever to kill him but it does work in a pinch when you have nothing else.

      @@themask9344 If the Flamethrower actually engulfed and passed through crowds, maybe even with reduced damage the further the flames reach beyond their first impact point, it'd not only feel immensely satisfying, but it'd probably bustedly overpowered. FT is definitely great.

    The AMR is so accurate in third person that you don't even need a monitor crosshair to use it. Just eyeball your first shot and you should be good to go once you correct for deviation.
    It's so good that I've used it in CQC plenty of times. It's extremely fun.

    You can also super-easily reload-cancel with the Recoilless rifle by just pressing the crouch button to stand up once the shot is loaded. Since your diver crouches down to reload it.

      You can also reload cancel by switching weapons or melee attacking.
      I've got my weapons bound to my mouse wheel (Primary Up, Support Down, Secondary Press) so it's really easy to just scroll up/down to do it.

    +1 to calling down AT's frequently. I like to spam them all over the map. Having them spread around has saved my butt multiple times.

    Another recoilless rifle tip is that when you are being chased or overrun and need to reload, you can stop for a sec dispose of the old shell dive away and resume the reload animation. You don’t need to wait for the entire animation to finish, once the character dispose of the shell, dive or start moving, get some distance and Helldiver will just input the new shell

    EAT tip: When a bot sends up a flare for a bot drop, if you immediately call down an EAT after you see the flare go up, you should have just enough time to pull one out of the pod and shoot the dropship down before the reinforcements land (assuming no increased call-in time). It feels good even though it's not that effecient.

      ​@@Lucifer-fj7mg Call in time is exactly what you described it as: it's the time taken for the payload to arrive. Even if it is 0 seconds, it takes atleast half a second to a second for them to impact the ground, because of immersion reasons. There's also mission modifiers like complex stratagem plotting that increase the call in time by 50%. This can make 0 sec call-in become 1-2s and already slow stratagems like precision strike unusable against mobile targets. Although with the latest patch yesterday, precision strike got buffed as it's call in time was reduced to 2 seconds (1 second with upgrade) so it's less impactful now.

    One more tip for the airbrust launcher, from someone who uses it a lot:
    The most important thing is to always seek high ground. Try to avoid shooting at groups that are on the same or higher elevation than you are. This is because the proximity sensor will detonate the rocket about 5m ahead of the closest target in the group. This maximises the possibility of friendly frie and minimises the amount of enemies hit.
    Instead, seek higher ground so you can try and get a detonation towards the centre of the group. All you need is about a 5m height advantage to be able to fire over the heads of the front rank and circumvent a premature detonation.
    It's a simple tip, but if you always seek higher ground when you're lining up an air burst shot, you will notice a huge difference. Even just a boulder or small wall is enough.

    For the autocannon one, you might want to mention you only reload 5 with the fast reload - and you can only do it with 5 or fewer rounds in the cannon.

      What does he mean by this? Can you charge and hold your quasar shot until you want to release it? Once you hold the trigger, it charges up and fires on its own. If you could hold it until you’re ready, that would be amazing.

      ​@@godskull5788 The queso cannon...er, I mean, the quasar cannon does not immediately spool down when charged but not fired. Skilled players will spool it to get it near max charge without firing, then let it spool down a bit (not all the way) before spooling it up again. You can switch to other weapons for a few seconds in between spools to deal with other threats. This is done so as to have the quasar immediately ready to fire when a good opportunity presents itself.

    I never thought about running the EAT rifles along with a normal support weapon. So simple yet i didnt even think about doing it

      I like to bring EATs when I'm running a mech. Super easy to pop out, throw down an EAT for a teammate, then hop back in. Or, you can use them yourself if you run out of missiles but still have a lot of machine gun ammo.

    Quasar: Call down another Quasar on a point you are defending to be able to swap from one to the other while they cool down.
    Spear: Aiming downwards when locking on will make it easier to hit enemies right in front of you.
    Stalwart: Set it to a low fire rate when using it like a primary.
    EAT 17: Just because it's "expendable" doesn't mean you should use it frivolously. It is better to not fire and still have the Eat than to fire and not hit a weakspot.

    It is astounding how few Helldivers I see dive to put themselves out when on fire and try to stim through the pain. We've had it drilled in our heads since we were children: stop, drop, and roll. It was the first thing I thought when I was first set on fire.

    For the Recoilless Rifle reload cancel, you can also tap your stratagem button. Requires no time commitment or stamina.
    For the Anti-Materiel Rifle, you can use the damage ticks from the Incendiary Breaker's DoT as a crosshair.

    I call EATs on cooldown, if you have two people doing this you end up with literally 120 launchers (if not more) and there’s always a half dozen within sprinting distance.
    There really is no need for either to bring another support weapon, because you can always find one on the map. Once you’ve played like this a few times, you get a sense of where get one and can also grab a support from an ally who has an infinite ammo support (like Laser Cannon)
    Sometimes I bring EATs with Quasar, which is the ultimate anti-heavy loadout

    ATTENTION Helldivers get the word out!!!! Liberating planets with only a few thousand other players is pointless. The regeneration rate of the enemy will take it back faster than us. Always play on the most populated planet. Focus on 1 planet at a time. Please content creators get the word out!!!!!!

      Or play on the planets you are having the most fun spreading democracy on. The whole galaxy needs liberty and only a happy helldiver is a long lasting helldiver. For very important missions like the destruction of meridia all helldivers will come together. But i did not like the new missions so i just played other missions on meridia or went for a few missions to another planet

    9:28 on the crowd control role - I would rather the player lean more into offensive stratagems than EATs. Saying this as someone who always plays the crowd control role on Helldive because everyone and their grandmothers carry Quasars, EATs, etc.
    On the bot front, Airstrikes are a much better choice. Airstrikes can kill nearly any heavy bot unit in one hit if they're near the beacon. It straight up one shots tanks and actually even hulks. Plus you get 3 charges, a large AoE and a very reasonable base 2 min cooldown. All while not having to stop firing your crowd control support weapon so you can keep decimating those hordes. Precision Strike also offers much more value since you can destroy Detector Towers with it alongside being able to damage bunkers and severely damage Factory Striders (insta-kill if salvo'd with airstrikes).
    On the bug front, EATs become a better choice, but even then you have the 500 kg bomb which lets you kill 2 Bile Titans in quick succession with a base 2 min cooldown, all while not having to temporarily let go of your support weapon. And again, Precision Strike that can be called every 100s (base CD) that can not only one shot Bile Titans, but also Chargers that have been bunched up together with the same benefits. And can be used on Research Facilities to boot.

      1 person runs the spear, and you pretty much never have to worry about bile titans. There's definitely a learning curve with the weapon, but I take it for bots and bugs. The most satisfying thing I've found in this game is a spear headshot on a bile titan that didn't even make it all the way out of the bug breach

    Airburst launchers can kill fabricators, tanks and cannon turrets from side angles making it incredibly versatile.
    For fabricators, shoot above the frontmost light on the side (once you learn the shot you can do it fairly reliably). The airburst projectiles phase through the building and blow up inside.
    For turrets and tank aim at the turret ring, and the airburst projectiles will normally hit the back vents to kill them in one to two shots.
    Additionally it will take out groups of enemies nicely. I often take it to automaton missions now for long range demolition over the Spear.

    autocannon becomes an amazing crowd pleaser if you do manage to have a partner who is willing to team up. you can dump all 50 rounds full auto if you wanted to.

    if you fire the airburst into a charger just as they're coming down from that little hop they do at the start of a charge, you can make almost the full cluster go off under its belly, which sometimes 1 shots it. not very consistent, but it is cool.

    So glad there's a video point that EATs are good for supplement uses so let me +2.
    1.EATs have a delay to unzip their barrel and sight when you switch to them. However, if you choosing the same category weapon aka the 3rd one before pick it up, the unzip animation will got shortened. Be sure try this if you are in a hurry.
    2.Base on the tip1, if you pick up a new EAT quickly enough before completely throwing out a used one, once again, the unzip animation will got shortened. So my suggestion is: Pick up the first one, then move right beside to the second one, then fire a spore spewer or a Shrieker Hive or whatever it is. And as a side effect, It will also make your aim much more easier.

    3:10 #15 You can also press C to stand up, which is faster than either listed option.
    5:44 #26 Make sure you are in a position where you can see as much of the target as you can. Being up high obviously helps this massively as the video says, but also make sure as little of the target is obscured by rubble, rocks, towers or walls as possible.
    6:26 #31 If you do this I don't like you, but if you're desperate I guess I can understand. However, you will be taken to a farm down the road if you do that to a bile titan. Those bomblets can spread out as far as 50 meters when the rocket detonates in the air. Use your portable cluster bomb wisely.
    7:18 #35 Crosshair is not needed, it just helps. Practice a bit and you'll be just as good with it as without it, unless you're shooting at a distance, at which point a monitor crosshair won't help you anyways because of weapon sway.
    7:50 #38 Stalwart + supply backpack gives you 3000 total rounds to play with. If you ever just want more bullets, this is a very fun combo as you do not need to worry about silly things like "ammo efficiency" and "deflections" when you barely go through your total ammo at all.
    8:23 #41 HMG can also take out gunships by aiming at the thrusters. It's better at it than things like the AMR.
    9:19 #45 You can also tap fire instead. You'd think tap firing would lower TTK but on certain targets, unless you are well versed enough with the weapon to compensate for recoil perfectly, it will easily halve TTK and ammo consumption on stuff like hulks and devastators.
    9:28 #46 HMG is effectively anti tank, you should not use it on crowd control unless it is a particularly big one. It kills hulks easier than autocannon *without* stun grenades and barely takes any time at all, you can shoot out the miniguns on a factory strider and rush it while taking out the devastators extremely easily and save your team some stratagems, you can be AA, you can get on top or behind a tank and lay into it (note: the engine block CAN be pierced by HMG, in addition to the heat vent), just don't ever bring it for bugs. My personal favourite loadout for HMG is to bring an SMG, ballistic shield, HMG, airstrike, grenade pistol. You can bully everything short of annihilator tanks, cannon turrets, rocket devs and hulks with the ballistic shield and smg (you can block shredder tank with it too), and for the heavier stuff you use the HMG and just wreck everything except cannon turrets, which you can use the airstrike for.
    I like the HMG.

    If you're running airburst, getting a group of enemies into an enviromental choke point really helps maximize the cluster explosions wipe most of the weaker enemies (like bug nest craters, small ditches, between two huge rocks), especially in the current patch on higher difficulties where one group of enemies may actually be 2-3 patrols merged into one.
    This is more of my preference with the auto cannon, I reload when I only have 1 ammo left in the AC, still does the quick reloads. Gives me the flexibility to use almost all of my ammo and giving me the option to quick reload. If it's not dangerous, I'd shoot the one ammo into an enemy and reload again to get a full AC, so it's 1.7 seconds * 2 = 3.4 seconds instead of 5.2 seconds for the full reload animation.

    You can animation cancel the Autocannon reload after the first set of 5 rounds are inserted (I usually just pull out my primary) if you need to get moving again before the second set can be inserted.

    For defense missions I’ve really been loving the recoillees rifle. Faster fire time than quasar, refillable with supply drops, and does massive tank damage.
    Can one shot drop shots on bots, two people running it can completely prevent drop ships from dropping massive amounts of chaff units.
    Only real thing is the factory striders and tanks. Everything else mostly dies when the ships fall on the enemies.

    i feel like the bile titan having more resistance while spitting is a missed opportunity, imagine if we have a 1 shot decapitation mechanic if youre able to launch a rocket thru its mouth, blowing it up from the inside

    The recoiless rifle can actually be reload canceled just by crouching which makes maintaining you aim on a target really easy.
    It can also be cancelled by swapping weapons which can amazing if you have multiple chargers and a ton of hunters where you can load a rocket and instantly cancel it to start running and gunning with your primary.
    Lastly the recoiless rifle can be half reloaded if you cant finish the full animation, for example if you're reloading while a charger is already charging at you, you can do the first part of the reload where you pull the spent shell out, dive out of the way and then put another shell in allowing you kill the charger and be flexible with the reload in general.

    You can cancel long autocannon reload right after you feed the first clip (it will obviously result in only one clip being loaded) by standing up or diving (or ragdolling, for funnies)
    Also I know it's not support weapon tip, but you can drop weapons/backpacks/samples by holding X (by default on pc)
    (It can be useful to drop samples if you pass by the evac area so you won't lose them later)

    I tried a full laser build against bugs and I couldn’t disagree more about the laser cannon being ineffective. Pair it with the rover and the sickle and you will be able to fire nonstop with infinite ammo to clear chaff. It may not kill as quickly as the likes of the machine gun but it is quicker to aim and instead of reloading you can just switch between the weapons so there’s almost no downtime. Worked much better than I expected on helldive. Definitely not the best but very fun and reasonably effective.

    You can change weapons to cancel the reloading animation, it works for each shot of the R-36 Eruptor, it will save you a lot of time and kill that berserker that's almost reaching you

    As a Stalwart/MG43 enjoyer, bring a Supplypack more often than not. You chew through ammo very fast even on lower RPMs especially with the MG43.

    If you don't need to reposition for whatever reason, the fastest way to cancel the recoilless rifle is the press the crouch button. This way you don't mess with your own aim when diving/sprinting or dive in an undesirable way (such as ragdolling) or otherwise expose yourself to unnecessary fire.

    You don't HAVE to carry antitank at all times, just make sure someone else is and buddy up with them so that you're protecting each other. I've time and again found this more effective than trying to do it all.
    You also don't have to use recoil mitigation when using MGs, just don't try and use them like a hand held laser but treat them like an actual real life machine gun.

    ===== My machine gun tips for the Stalwart and MG43.=====
    When bringing the Stalwart, pair it with a primary capable of dealing with medium armoured enemies such as the Dominator, Slugger or Scorcher. There's no sense bringing something like the Sickle or a Breaker, if it's just going to go unused and compete for the same role as the Stalwart.
    When bringing the MG43, pair it with a good light pen primary that can deal with lighter enemies to help save your MG ammo when it suits, and reduce how often you have to reload. Alternatively pair it with a Guard Dog, which can keep those hunters and nuisance scavengers off you whilst you reload.
    If co-ordinating properly as a four man team, A two man team of Stalwart and MG43, can absolutely rinse through swarms and ensure that your anti-tank guys are able to do their job unmolested. Part of the Stalwart users job is to ensure that the MG user can stop to reload any time anywhere, without being pounced, and keep both guns firing as much as possible. The MG43 user should hard prioritise spewers, and rely on the Stalwart user to cover them whilst doing so (reminding to "cover me" can help bring it together). Aim for the head.
    Impact nades are a nice option for the Stalwart user, who needs to get rid of a few spewers that little bit quicker, or to slap a charger on the ass. Stun grenades are a nice option for the MG43 user, who needs to reload, or get that charger to hold still to administer a lead enema.
    If using the Stalwart against bots ( Not my recommended pick, but if you are...) aim for the legs of devastators rather than their head. Their legs only have light armour (2) rather than medium (3), and with the Stalwarts raw DPS it will kill them far more reliably this way. This tip also applies well to many light pen primaries. When against heavy devastators, focus on disarming them rather than killing them. Their machine gun arm has a narrow section that is incredibly fragile.
    The MG43 can pen the weakspot on the back of a tank or cannon turret, but has atrocious "durable damage" so don't be tricked into actually trying this unless the tank is already heavily damaged and no one else is able to finish it off.
    Machine gunners are good candidates to bring the Autocannon sentry, since they have some of the best means to clear out enemies that might distract the sentry, and help it find it's ideal heavier targets. EATS and Railcannon are also good options, for providing quick and supplementary on-demand anti tank.

    9:57: The HMG has enough durable damage to quickly kill Bile Spewers, pop Charger rears and Brood Commander heads, if you can line up the shot. Because it has AP4 and 35% structural damage, it is also capable, but not great at killing Bile Titans through the underside of the tail.

    I'm kinda surprised I knew as many of these tips as I did. Mainly the MGs I never use... and had no idea I could reload during a jump with the jump pack lol... but most of the rest I knew lol. But I play a lot (when I can)

    I prefer aiming at a brood commanders legs as that seems to kill them a lot quicker. I think the head has a durability so light weapons arent that effective against it but the legs take full damage and can cripple the bug. Doesn't make a difference to the flame thrower

    Slap the heavy butcher set on, a supply pack, flamethrower and you can tank/contain breaches or mobs within the flame as you’re stimming yourself all at the same time and supplying yourself with stims for sustainability and you can tank just about everything even while on fire and gassed
    Note: you can also tank a full stream of bile titan acid while Stimmed
    Do you need to do it? No but it makes you look like a badass

    I wonder if the grenade launcher is better with the new patch. I've had some unexpected successes against bots, but still need to try it a lot more. Not sure yet if it can shoot down gunships or damage hulks from behind.

    IO feel like that first tip is a little misleading, as it does burn through heavy devastator shields. It's still not good against automatons, but that doesnt mean it does nothing against armor
