I never fully realized before just how much work these actors have to do: they went through a whole boot camp just to learn dwarf movement plus those lessons to learn the dwarf language. I definitely don't think I could have done that. Kudos to you guys.
Dear Peter You will probably never read this and that's ok. I at least know I made a voice. Thank you for all this and your team. I was in a bad state of mind and depression the year this premiered. I re watched all movies every few days as I found joy in the world you made. Thank you. Thats all I wanted to say.
James when he's talking about Aiden... "He's the sexy dwarf. I don't even think he has a beard, actually. Mainly because he's not old enough to grow one!..." I am in tears. I love you, Mr. Nesbitt.
13:08 Christopher Lee ...in the end :( we missed him , he was so good actor , i'm from Romania and i know his movies from the past about the Count Dracula , he was so convincing in that role...
Why don't you care that Gimli is still your favourite dwarf? Did you mean to say "I don't care what anyone says, Gimli is still my favourite dwarf"? In that respect, who has been saying anything against Gimli being your favourite dwarf?
We should all hope that should any of us get to 89 like Christopher Lee was when he filmed his parts for the Hobbit trilogy, we still have our memories, the heart to share them with people, and the voice with which to tell them to anyone who will listen.
LOTR trilogy, Hobbits etc. one of the most and best movie on the decades or all time very watchable and worthy..it brings generation to generation. Best characters are all great! Best Soundtrack💯 Keep Ya Head! Up😎
I watched Tho Hobbit and LOTR many times I loved everything about it the story the character EVERYTHING, I hope you direct the Show too, THANK YOU FROM MY HEART
Ah, I remember how great it was to see Christopher Lee in this video when this was released... :) About two weeks and I'll see the first film film.. Can't wait!
1, 2, 3.... more videos to go. From the looks of it, I feel like one of the few who are watching all of the video dairies. There's a bunch of people who are just randomly jumping or watching just part of a video. Notice how video 3 has more views than video 2?
Nice ending.. ;-) Before (Sir) Christopher Lee was Dracula, Count Dooku or Saruman he was a pilot with the RAF during WW2 and fought along side the Gurkhas during the Battle of Monte Cassino just to scratch the surface of his wartime service. He also knew what it really sounded like to slit a persons throat (and took exception when depicted otherwise in a movie he was in). A truly unique fellow - RIP!
The dwarves makeup was actually kind of immersion breaking, everything in lotr felt real, this felt more like a made for tv show and peter literally admitted he did these films more on a whim while lotr was obviously a passion project

if you wanna give yourself a treat, Christopher Lee once read Bram Stokers Dracula, it's aviable on Spotify
listen to his work with rhapsody of fire
It is truly a blessing being able to sit with him and listen to his stories
Yes! He was so inspiring!
He also recorded a Metal album.
Is it just me to find incredible how Ian McKellen remembers every dwarves’ name?
How he remembers them is beyond me.
I'm only 25 years old and don't even remember the names of half of all my friends in my lifetime.
Glass house, @raga vendra
Thats why he is the wizard
I mean he had that literal line on the script
The end was awesome, with Christopher Lee XD
Yes...it was
Surprise es
Surprise
Unfortunately he is not with us anymore
I never fully realized before just how much work these actors have to do: they went through a whole boot camp just to learn dwarf movement plus those lessons to learn the dwarf language. I definitely don't think I could have done that. Kudos to you guys.
"Who is that odd little fellow?"
I think he is the one that play when the haffling stand with human or elf or the tall one without the face showing. Do you get what's I mean?
Mega Feehily He was just quoting Christopher Lee, the last seconds of the video
Rip
That was a nice little surprise at the end.

Stuck in Paradise Hello
jup I am here for that exact reason.
It's the magic of UA-cams
That exact reason, yes. :P
It's weird how YT is so late to recommend this to me. End of November 2019.
Omg I just love it that you even found time to make these production videos. What a mammoth scale of work these movies were.
11:47 every director need to have an actor inside. I love Peter and how focus He is in this scene pre shoot
This is the best thing I've ever seen
I don't know why UA-cam recommended this only now but it's perfect quarantine content 😍👍
Christopher Lee!!! XD LOL this whole series has been fun but that last touch was just perfect xD
So completely enjoyable -in 2023!!!!! Peter Jackson is a true citizen of Middle-earth; that’s why the films ring true!!!!!
for the first time in my life i smiled 13 minutes at once
Peter Jackson cracks me up. I would love to work for him
3:07 mins. how Sir Ian nailed all the dwarfs names , spot on
So grateful for this, especially right now!
We should all hope that should any of us get to 89 like Christopher Lee was when he filmed his parts for the Hobbit trilogy, we still have our memories, the heart to share them with people, and the voice with which to tell them to anyone who will listen.
I wonder if Christopher lee ever stops and just thinks: "holy shit, I'm sauraman AND count dooku"
No he stops and says "holy shit, im Christopher lee"
“Holy shit, im saruman, count dooku, drac, mr wonka and the actual James Bond! Not only that but I’m also friends with tarkin!”
the into was everything!!!!!!!!!!
I'm living for peter Jackson

He’s such a hobbit himself 😄
I'm pretty sure most Tolkien fans would pay to go through that Dwarf Boot Camp.

I can't imagine anyone not liking this video....Thank you for the intimate BTS bits. This was a delicious way to start my morning!
@2:56 Ian McKellen trying to name the dwarves was exactly out of the movie I swear that bit from Ian absolutely took me out
Everytime they sing now, I'm gonna think of Dwarf Metallica. XD
Bomber playing the electric guitar is now something I need
that last scene! priceless
Christopher Lee could not come to New Zealand so Jackson went to him.
Yeah that was awesome! Rest in peace Sir Christopher Lee.
Jackson showing his acting skills ^^
I watched Tho Hobbit and LOTR many times I loved everything about it the story the character EVERYTHING, I hope you direct the Show too, THANK YOU FROM MY HEART
Yes! I love knitted cardigans and knitted mittens!
"Who is that odd little fellow?" Great moment.
amazing!! they've put so much effort into it - it would have actually been easier to embark on a real epic quest and defeat a dragon.
Just too bad the films ended up being a mess
@@JjackVideo They weren’t that bad. Not as great as lotr of course, but still pretty good
"dats the metallica version" lol
When you're so good at making movies, that you make a short movie whilst making a big movie, whilst shooting a vlog for a movie you're making.
Richard's voice ughhh ❤
What a brilliant edning, Thank you PJ and Crew
I screamed so loud when it showed Sauroman..
Peter I owe you a huge hug and thank you for everything ❤
"Who is that odd little fellow?" :)
I was laughing so hard at the beginning ... "What is this place ,,, ?" x3
Aidan's man bun at 6:59 though

Golumn is preciousness yessss 👍👍👍👍👍👍
These behind the scenes videos are great. Better than the actual Hobbit movies IMO.
bruh these video diaries are awesome, actually added some music and editing to them.
Just realized you also have to move like a dwarf.
...
Holy shit, it's more complex than I thought.
The only dwarves I can remember the name of and know who they are, are Thorin, Fili, Kili (who are my favorites), Dwalin, Balin and Bombur
"Who is that odd little fellow?", that was priceless
Peter should direct a James Bond movie!! Imagine the villains in it!!! Orcs in London!!!
Yeah, much better than zombie apocalypse
Every person who was working with theese films or LoTR, i bet had the adventure of thier lives. I am smiling all the time
9:13 This is why we need more behind the scenes!
John Rhys-Davies is the icing on the cake. Plus the way he spoke reminded me his acting in Shogun
1, 2, 3.... more videos to go. From the looks of it, I feel like one of the few who are watching all of the video dairies. There's a bunch of people who are just randomly jumping or watching just part of a video. Notice how video 3 has more views than video 2?
That part with Christopher Lee at the very end gets me every time. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣...........😢
Love how the fellowship theme played with the introduction of John Rhys Davies
Bless old Christopher Lee. I remember seeing him in a wheelchair at Kensington and Chelsea Hospital whilst my wife was pregnant. RIP you great man x
i think this is my favourite vlog. you should see the massive grin I had at the end :D
I fucking love Martin Freeman, and Hugo Weaving's jokes and maneurisms. They are so damn fun (also, Thranduil is fucking fantastic)
