I bought the iPhone 16 Pro Max from them outright. I still cannot get them to unlock it. I spent at least five hours with technical support and have had two separate tickets to unlock the phone. Yesterday, I received an official email that said I was ineligible to have the phone unlocked. I’m still waiting on this new ticket, but I’m not expecting much. If I could do this all over again, I would just buy directly from Apple and avoid this company all together. Others are having similar issues. And when you contact customer support, be prepared to wait for a long time because they can’t answer your questions until they talk to someone else. #Run
UPDATE: Got in touch with Boost Mobile exec team and they resolved the issue with the phone not unlocking. My phone is now officially unlocked. They are reviewing their process to determine what happened and fix it. Loved hearing how they were concerned and improving. As I've experienced myself with product launches, there are always hiccups when launching a new product. REALLY appreciate their help making me a satisfied customer.
could you clarify the financing aspect and what the penalty is if you wanna leave/walk away but the phone is not PIF/you've only had it for 1-2 years? my understanding is you are free to leave but the penalty is you must remainder of the phone(could still be hundreds) since they will not allow you to return it.
After being with boost for a year, I promise you you will regret having this service. It is terrible very unreliable. Worst experience I’ve ever had. I just paid my phone off and I went to Visible and I’m so happy also mint mobile would be a great alternative as well But Boost Mobile service is utter garbage. I promise you I have been a customer for a whole year and it was just unbelievable how bad their service is.
@@JeremyCurry5how did you get in touch with the Exec team? I’ve been fighting this all week. I call in every day and they submit another request to unlock. It just gets rejected saying I need to wait 12 months.
I mean that's easy for the people who save their money... Here's the deal most people don't, more than half of Americans are in debt so they won't be able to buy their phones unlocked cause that requires to pay in full... I mean if u don't have kids and have money saved then cool yeah that's a gud option for those people but most won't 😂
after all the months are paid the phone will be completely unlocked and then you can switch carriers most people do the deals like this because the phone is basically free because your basically just paying for service for 3 years then they give you the phone
@TraeBranham People forget you pay premium during the service. I have $20 plan with 10GB/mo data with Tello. Most people don't need more than this. So you calculate the difference. You pay $45/mo MORE just to get free iPhone. Go buy your iPhone at MSRP of $1,000. You will start saving money after 23 month. This contract is 36 month to get the full true "free" iPhone
@@xxkarlosxxxxxx7233 I think that's a bad take. So because american's are in debt, Americans should just stay in debt? A phone isn't a necessary expense, and only those with dispensable income should be getting the newest and greatest. People that are struggling financially and have financial IQ would just get a $200 or less old iPhone or android and a cheap plan. Needed bills and food should come first. Don't assume that people are like you and that they want to stay broke. Just my 2 cents.
Did anyone notice that when the guy asked is there any early termination fees, the guy from boost mobile talked over the idea and started talking about upgrades completely ignoring he just asked is there early termination fees.
Boost has prioritized data when you get on their native network if you have it in your area. 100GB native network data then 512kbps. 30GB Roaming data then 512kbps (if all data is used on roaming you are subject to 512kbps at the moment I believe) Roaming data is Deprioritized Video resolution is uncapped Their network requires compatible devices and if you don't live in their network area they assign you to a network partner MVNO sim until service becomes available.
I was using visible basic plan for 25 dollars a month, and because I financed iPhone 16 Pro Max through Apple, I have to port out to T Mobile or other providers in order to finance with Apple Card, I got my new phone and port it back to Visible with a promo code BYEBYETMO and got 15 dollars a month for the next 5 years, it’s a damn good deal.
36 months at $65/ month is $2340 for the plan. My current plan is $25/mo. A 3 year plan at that rate is $900. So I would get the free iphone for $1440. Not really a deal.
What makes it a bad deal is the actual service the service is terrible. The iPhone is wonderful but if you don’t have good wireless service, you’re gonna regret it. I just spent a year with Boost Mobile and just walked away and went to Visible. Also mint mobile is 10,000 times better I promise you. A lot of times when something’s too good to be true. It really is too good to be true.
It's actually $1560 for 3yr plan since they offer 1yr of service u forgot that 😂😂😂 ... But yeah the difference is around $160 if u compare buying it's full price vs paying $65 a month I did the math lol
Unfortunately that's why I have to go back to Visible. Coverage was actually great, but having RCS activated on visible, then switching to boost somehow absolutely broke my RCS message group chats and for some reason i'm not getting texts from half the people on the chat. such a shame. if boost enables RCS soon, i may switch back. But until then I just can't.
They have the same coverage as T-Mobile so just check your area for T-Mobile coverage and boost should be the same . In my area Its excellent. I was with T-Mobile for 8 years and switched to boost a year ago and it’s been the same coverage as T-Mobile. I will say if you get the cheapest plan you will run out of data if you’re a power user. But the same goes for T-Mobiles cheapest plan . Only down side is boost doesn’t have watch plans
@3:25 Stetson asks the right question, are there any early termination fees? the Boost guy LIES and says no, but in fact if you wanna walk away after say 10 months, you are on the hook for the phone, which means since it is essentially being financed over 36 months, you will owe about 70% of its value. AND NO, you are NOT able to just return it, you will either need to pay it off in full or be taken to collections and end up with a phone that is LOCKED to Boost.
I promise you after I spent a year with Boost Mobile you definitely want to stay away from this. It is not worth it. It’s too good to be true and it really is too good to be true. I just paid my phone off after being with them for a year and went to Visible and it is 10,000 times better service. I never had a signal with boost and now I’ve got a wonderful signal with over 450 MB download and I always have service with visible. It was just a constant struggle. I even one time was in a line trying to use the Taco Bell app and it said that I had a signal and service but yet I was not connected to the tower because that’s how bad boost service is. I thought Taco Bell‘s system was down, but it was just Boost Mobile service. It’s complete utter garbage. I promise you I had it for a whole year and so thankful that I no longer have it.
Boost mobile says that the device will only be unlocked if its fully paid for and not if its acquired using bill credits - Your video, timestamp 5.51 says it will be unlocked immediately after activation - seems incorrect
I had a second eSIM available, but this still does not enable them to unlock. I bought the iPhone 16 Pro Max from them outright. I still cannot get them to unlock it. People don' t understand that it's not really a free phone, you are paying for it with your service. If you look at the Boost Mobile plans, the iPhone plan is basically the same as the $25 plan, you are essentially paying $40 more on the plan to make up the difference. Also, you can't just take your phone to another carrier whenever you want as your phone will be network locked the entire time that you have a loan with them. If you pay off your loan early, you forfeit all of the remaining credits, this is typically how it works with all of the major carriers too. Same thing when you cancel your service with them, all credits are cancelled and you owe the full cost of the phone right away. It's just a strategy to have you tied down to the carrier for as long as possible because subscriber counts matter A LOT to investors.
Well said but in deaf ears. I have unlocked phone with three e sims. Life is great. I keep switching between providers giving deals in data plan. No contract nothing. 😅 most of these buyers are slaves to providers they don’t know that
Wish there was a way to try out the boost service. Unsure how it is here in Nevada and surrounding states. Scared to lock myself into Boost for the year+ without knowing, I have heard some bad things about the Dish network they use.
30 day money back guarantee plus if your phones service is unlocked, you can just switch over for one month and then if it’s not good, you can resume your current plan
I love your informative video but I have one question about your chart. Where do I find the $700 credit trade-in deal for iPhone 13 Pro Max? Because I searched everywhere, even compared with eBay used price, I cannot find any place in Boost Mobile or no other place that I can get $700 credit for trading in my iPhone 13 pro max. Please answer my comment to relief the confusion with chart saying $700 credit.
The only one that sounds reasonable is (if I’m understanding it correctly) buying the phone outright from their website and getting the year of free service. Because that way you still own the phone and can sell it private party.

The phone becomes yours to keep and is eligible to be unlocked! The monthly service plan stays at $65 though. If you wanted, you could also switch to the $25 unlimited plan at that time.
I have boost and it's awesome here in Eugene. I'm on the $25 unlimited plan. That upgrade is super tempting but I love my IPhone 13 mini. The best thing about Boost is how simple and open they are about the plans.. and no annoying catches.
Same! I just took advantage of this deal (infinite w/ 16 pro) for my wife to try out boost here in Corvallis. Works great on AT&T, good breadth of coverage and doesn’t have the dead spots we saw when she was on T-Mobile.
Incorrect information provided by SVP at 7:10 regarding money back guarantee. Refund is only provided on phone plan. Phone payments are not eligible for refund as stated in their website. iPhone doesn’t has 30 days return policy but they may accept return within 14 days similar to Apple.
I’ve been with Boost Mobile for 13 months. The coverage has always been good but getting anything done online or on the phone itself has been a horrible experience. I went with a plan that gives you a new phone each year, but getting the upgrade is almost impossible.
It turns out Boost Mobile is in the Coverage Map app! Just tap on the filter button in the top left and select Dish Wireless. This is available on both the Speed Test Map and the Signal Strength Map.
I like Stetson says this is the offer he choose… But he said his personal line was on Visible with the Apple Watch.. lol… Fails to say on a sponsored video that this is one of his test lines..
You're absolutely correct, Boost Mobile will be one of my test lines. It turns out this video isn't sponsored though! I do genuinely like the deals Boost Mobile is offering, so was happy to work with the Boost team to share more details about their promotions. To be clear: no money changed hands for producing this video. I am part of the Boost Mobile affiliate program though, so if someone chooses to sign up for a promotion using one of my links I may earn money on the sale.
They don’t talk about service quality. Always gotta look at what they aren’t saying! Had a terrible experience with prioritization/ pages not loading on boost.
I bought mine outright and they will not unlock it. Several others have had the same issue. Spent at least 5 hours with support. If I could do it over, I’d just buy direct from Apple.
@@JeremyCurry5 How many hours since you activated your iPhone. On Reddit, it mention it will unlock after 48 hours counting from the moment you activate your phone.
Approx 30 hours. Maybe I will get lucky tomorrow. They also charged me $25 when I activated and the service is suppose to be free for a year. Each time I talk to support, they have to talk to someone else and it takes forever. It doesn’t get resolved. I would not buy from them again if I could do it over.

Funny that the boost mobile guy says the phone can be unlocked. And here I am 4 days of having boost mobile and I still can’t get my phone unlocked. Multiple phone calls and emails and everyone is saying I have to wait 12 months. What do I do.
For the $1,000 deal, you are eligible to get the phone unlocked once it is paid off. For the free year of service deal, you are eligible to get the phone unlocked immediately after you activate the service.
I bought mine outright and they will not unlock it. Several others have had the same issue. Spent at least 5 hours with support. If I could do it over, I’d just buy direct from Apple.
Sorry you had a poor experience. That’s super frustrating. 5 hours with support? Oof. That’s horrible. The iPhone is eligible to be unlocked according to their terms and conditions. If you’re having issues, I highly suggest you reach out to Blake on Reddit: www.reddit.com/user/BoostMobileBlake/
I bought mine outright directly from boost and it is not my experience that the phone is unlocked. I have spent five hours with customer support trying to get them to unlock it and all I get is an official email saying that it is not eligible to unlock. I am on with customer support it again. They just told me 60 days to get it unlocked. Their own policy says max of 2 business days.I would recommend going directly to Apple and avoid this company.
Let’s say I bought an iPhone 16 Pro Max outright on boost mobile in order to get the free year of service, could I then use another phone to take advantage of that one year of service and take the iPhone 16 Pro Max to another carrier?

@@JeremyCurry5 I don’t mind buying my iPhone through boost mobile if it meant getting one year of free service. But if they can’t/won’t unlock a phone if it’s bought out right it’s not worth it. Thanks for the heads up. If they won’t unlock it for you then I would just return it if I were you. It hasn’t been 30 days since the iPhone 16 was announced.

Google Fi is offering an $800 off deal for the Google Pixel 9 series with no trade-in required. AT&T is offering $1000 off the Pixel 9 series with a trade-in of any Pixel in any condition. It'd be nice if you did a video on the latest Pixel 9 deals!
@StetsonDoggett I also went and researched T-Mobile's deal. They're offering the Pixel 9 Pro XL 256 GB for free with Go5G Plus or Next - $200 off as instant credit and $1000 off as bill credits. Might want to include that! I haven't looked at Verizon.
Not enough lol 😂. No money changed hands to make this video. I just do genuinely like the offers Boost Mobile has this year! I am part of Boost Mobile's affiliate program, so I earn money if people choose to sign up through my links.
The unlocking part is veryyyy sus!! I want to be on boost network but i travel internationally! And i don’t want to pay boost prices when im not in the US will they unlock my phone when I travel internationally? On request?
let me answer your question. I was in Seoul a couple of weeks ago, I explained I was traveling abroad and asked Boost if it could be unlocked, they said the only way they'd unlock it is if I paid the phone off outright. They offered their garbage 1GB of international data for $10. All that was left to do was get one of those portable wifi routers from a Korean carrier, instead of a SIM smh... I had to carry a damn backpack everywhere I went.
It’s lame current customers don’t get a good deal. The add-on line for the 12mo., it’s not worth it if it’s just me. I was with boost infinite and recently learned they became boost mobile lol. I guess I need to look for other deals out there.
No tricks huh? Laughable. I’m ready for my yearly upgrade as of Nov 8th and the app/customer service won’t process my order!!! Best help I ever get is customer service “escalating” my issue but NEVER EVER getting a call or a solution. 0/10 rating. Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. You should be sued Boost!
I'm from India, I don't want any iPhone 16, an iPhone is enough, I don't mind if the iPhone has some small problem, iPhone is enough, I haven't used iPhone yet, all my friends are using iPhone🥺
How in the world do you learn HOW MUCH a plan will cost, out the door? Their website SUCKS and is not conducive to signing up. You cannot see how much you'll actually pay; what they say over the phone about costs (1/2 off 2nd/3rd line) cannot be represented on the "checkout" screen. I'm a great prospect - seeking new iPhone 16 deal and bringing over 3 lines, but there is NO WAY to gain certainty of what it'll cost every month - insane! The "cart" total doesn't match what the phone agent expresses, and you can't go further in the process to see if it adjusts, without entering your SS#. It's crazy, I really want to do business with this company, but their interface, process, and website come off very very very shady, which is real bummer and embarrassment to them IMHO. Anyone else observe any of this challenge?
This is a scam, it didn’t work for me . Don’t do it, they just want you to buy through them. I was on the phone with customer service for hours telling them I had a promotion for a year free plan.
Totally agree Boost Mobile was the first time that I did not buy an unlocked phone and I regretted it a whole entire year just paid that phone off and walked away and went to Visible. Boost Mobile service is terrible mint mobile is 10,000 times better and Visible is 10,000 times better. Boost Mobile service is just so awful.
Boost doesn’t unlock the phone, I call two times and went to a boost mobile store and they don’t unlock the phone unless you pay Stetson you should fact check
I purchased two iPhone 16s at full price from Boost Mobile. I was able to call support and get my iPhone 16 Pro unlocked within 48 hours. My iPhone 16 unlocked automatically after 7 business days. Their terms clearly say any phone purchased at full price is eligible to be unlocked immediately. I am sorry you had a poor experience with Boost Mobile.
@StetsonDoggett Your Boost Mobile pricing is incorrect for the 3 year service with the Iphone 13 pro max trade - 1 line. The breakdown you've listed: $ 1200 (IPhone 16 pro max cost + $977 ( 3 year service at $27.16 a month) - $700 (trade in credit) = $1477. The actual total should be $1151.08 as you get one year of service for free.
I'm sorry but at the end of the day you have to have good credit to have those promotions you can't just go to the store and get it for free they have to run your credit and if You're eligible for the free iPhone 16 pro Max and you could do it but I got denied twice for the free service the promotion whatever you want to call this but I have Verizon wireless with zero down so boost infinite you need to straighten up your credit bureaus
So wait u can either go for the $25 which is essentially $30 a month and get 1yr of service for free which would save u like 30x12= $360 roughly but u gotta buy the iPhone 16 Pro Max ($1600+ tax) ... Or get 1 free year of service, discount $1,000off any model so iPhone Pro Max 1TB 😂 which is = $600+tax but the service is $65 ... U wouod think hmmm that's easy the 2nd option is the better choice right... Well let's see... If u compare both for let's say 3yrs worth ... The $30 plan is $2320 plus taxes for service of 2yrs +1free year of service... And if u get the $65 infinite plan that's $2160 plus taxes for the phone... So yes u end up paying more on the cheaper plan... Difference of $160 .... Though I have a question since it's says "Annual Upgrades " and this guy said u can upgrade each year, so what does that mean for the $600 u paid for that year?... Do u need to pay extra? I need more info 😂😂😂
If Boost/Dish isn’t native in your city they’ll MVNO on T-Mobile most likely. They claim they’ll use either ATT or TMo, whichever is strongest. In my experience this isn’t so. In my area ATT and Vzw are dominant with TMo limited to a 2 block radius downtown and in the freeway, they put me on TMo and are incapable of moving anyone to the other network.
Boost is a SCAM and these UA-camrs are just baiting the audience for money. Their service is literally so shit. It is actually hard for a customer to onboard with them, let alone being an existing customers.
Yeah bro I commented an on your videos a while ago u never replied and @ 3:20 😂😂😂 that dude really dodged the question we all wanna know. So bro I have Metro PCs phone under my grandfather that had recently pass away he was my grandfather and foster father. It's the Samsung a53 he got the phone and service now that he has pass my granny took over I'll pay the $25 and put it on autopay to make it easy for my granny. But I Also have a free phone and service threw the my medical. It's a moto G stylus 2023. Heres what I want to know bro because I have never had a phone or phone plan personally it's was all under my grandfather he had the whole family covered it's was all free for us. I grew up off of flip phones and used iPads I like tablets over smartphones the htc evo was my first smartphone I ever had after flip phones. It was ok but like I said i was more into iPads because I like ios/apple better than android I got me and an M2 iPad for a good deal since I got free/prepaid phone service I want a iPhone . After testing out my cousins iphone 16 pro max I think I want to get it. He bought his outright and he also uses with free/prepaid services. I can't afford outright I want to know how this boost mobile deal works in full detail how do u sign up for it is it a plan contract or financing??? Do they need to do a credit check/ssn? Is the phone really free? Or is it a credit? If I use it and pay for the deal for like a couple of months can I cancel it or terminate it without a fee and just pay the rest of the phone off? All I want is the phone I'll keep the service for like 6months. Like I said bro I don't know how this stuff works.

could you clarify the financing aspect and what the penalty is if you wanna leave/walk away but the phone is not PIF/you've only had it for 1-2 years? my understanding is you are free to leave but the penalty is you must remainder of the phone(could still be hundreds) since they will not allow you to return it.
Buy your phones unlocked people. Don't ever be at the mercy of a carrier.
Nope
Yup I noticed that
Boost needs prioritized data…i tried boost and it was pretty slow data speeds. Visible and metro had much better speeds
I agree it’s been hard to use since I do pizza delivery
Boost has prioritized data when you get on their native network if you have it in your area.
100GB native network data then 512kbps. 30GB Roaming data then 512kbps (if all data is used on roaming you are subject to 512kbps at the moment I believe)
Roaming data is Deprioritized
Video resolution is uncapped
Their network requires compatible devices and if you don't live in their network area they assign you to a network partner MVNO sim until service becomes available.
@@paspeedtestingadventures7503so they don’t have truly unlimited data ?
I don’t think their unlimited is prioritized but I could be wrong. They’ve used T-Mobile towers in my area.
36 months at $65/ month is $2340 for the plan. My current plan is $25/mo. A 3 year plan at that rate is $900. So I would get the free iphone for $1440. Not really a deal.
Yes it is a great deal. You don't get unlimited everything for $25 a month. You heard the prices of Verizon and Tmoble.
agree, but some ppl don't have $1440 to spend right now. This is who this deal is for.
Guess that’s what the credit card is for? 🤔 🤭
It's actually $1560 for 3yr plan since they offer 1yr of service u forgot that 😂😂😂 ... But yeah the difference is around $160 if u compare buying it's full price vs paying $65 a month I did the math lol

When I try to add a second line, it won't appear on the cart only the 1st line! And try so many time to add a second line
I switched to boost because of Stetson. I imagine the service won’t be as good but I’m saving $100 a month vs Tmobile so I’ll suffer for the savings
There are other PCS providers that use T-Mobile network towers that are affordable and only thing is they slow down data speeds after you use 30 gb

Yea the guy just avoided the actual question
Boost mobile says that the device will only be unlocked if its fully paid for and not if its acquired using bill credits - Your video, timestamp 5.51 says it will be unlocked immediately after activation - seems incorrect
So essentially, Boost is running the iPhone annual upgrade program but with a phone plan thrown in.
That's a great way to put it! Basically $65/mo for the phone + service.
Boost Mobile should REALLY give their Infinite Access plans more than 30GB of data! At least give the customers 50 or 60GB of data on these plans!!
You’re absolutely right!
The key to unlocking immediately is to make the second eSIM available, correct? I mix my carriers so this would be critical.
I had a second eSIM available, but this still does not enable them to unlock.
I bought the iPhone 16 Pro Max from them outright. I still cannot get them to unlock it. I spent at least five hours with technical support and have had two separate tickets to unlock the phone. Yesterday, I received an official email that said I was ineligible to have the phone unlocked. I’m still waiting on this new ticket, but I’m not expecting much.

I love your informative video but I have one question about your chart. Where do I find the $700 credit trade-in deal for iPhone 13 Pro Max? So since Direct TV is buying Dish what’s going to happen to Boost Mobile?
The only one that sounds reasonable is (if I’m understanding it correctly) buying the phone outright from their website and getting the year of free service. Because that way you still own the phone and can sell it private party.

The $30 plan is $2320 plus taxes for service of 2yrs +1free year of service... And if u get the $65 infinite plan that's $2160 plus taxes for the phone... In my area ATT and Vzw are dominant with TMo limited to a 2 block radius downtown and in the freeway, they put me on TMo and are incapable of moving anyone to the other network.
@KrispyKrink true, so far so good for me, I had Verizon i was tired of paying there high bills , so they can pay there rent and get new trucks, lol 😆
Boost could give me a free planet and I still wouldn’t consider them. They suck
Got the infinite access plan & there still charging me the phone on top of the 65$ total of 95$ a month
