I drive mine with 500watts@8ohm 650@4ohms and 1,200 watts@1ohm 65 amps for 500 milliseconds This much watts/current really make the Maggie's come alive with soundstage dynamics and inner detail l did use my VAC PA 100 100 tube amp and it was magical, but no where near as dynamic as the more powerful D class amp I have the ARC LS 15 tube pre amp Oppo BD 105 source Audiolab 6000N streamer and a Exogal comet plus DAC
With the speakers that far apart it's usual for the soundstage to have a hole in the middle... But better than not listening at all. I agree Melody Gardot recordings are great.
I have .7’s now for 3 years and tired of ‘em. You can actually hear their limitations after awhile, just too soft at times with many times Female voices too laid back… Glad I’ve owned them but think their time with me is up and time to move on.
I've built the Dynaco and it works well with the high efficiency Ariels I made but I don't think the St70 has near enough current to drive the maggies.
Glad to hear the verdict on the Maggies. I just bought a pair!

Hi
Can these be driven by a Dynaco ST70?
