- The Gedi leather from Sojourner is my all-time favourite. It's a honey brown leather that is so thin and light but also has more structure than you'd expect. And when they launched two new color of this leather I had to snag them. In this video we unbox my new passport folios in Kidron & Timnah. We'll also talk abut why I ordered this size and style in my new covers.

Is Gedi like chic sparrow Emma in terms of color? Bc I love Emma but I want a lighter cover with the pocket outside. Btw, your videos are super helpful. So well done and thoughtful. Thank you for all your efforts.

So Gedi is deeper and warmer toned than Emma and a little funkier in tone - hard to explain in words but just a little more golden. I adore it (one of my all time favorites) but not the same tone as Emma. That said Sojourner does have a natural undyed which is much lighter than Emma but as it patinas will get dark as Emma. It's very thin and light but still has the structure (where as Gedi is more soft-handed). Alternatively you could get a Gedi cover with a natural undyed pocket which would be striking and the pocket would patina as you used it.
@@JustScribble thank you for getting back to me. I’ve considered natural, but was worried of the maintenance, ie, how dirty it will get. I’m about to be on my way to take Emma to a leather place to see if they can clean it. But I do love the undyed look and I do love patina and aging. I’ve considered black, only bc of the dirt won’t show factor. But maybe I should buy what I will love,and not be so anal about getting dirty. Thanks!!!

She did a preorder on them but it closed earlier this summer but when they come in they ordered extras and will list them on their site. Great video! Are the Gedi leathers pull up leathers?
It does have some pull-up but it's not dramatic. Caribou, Stag and Roadrunner are pull-up leathers with dramatic pull-up. But Gedi leathers will patina some (darken with use/light) and they show marks - so they age nicely IMHO. And they are so thin and light they add no bulk or weight to your planners/journals.
I love the new darker brown, Kidron I think! I have never ordered from Sojourner before. I love that thin leather. It looks like it feels gorgeous! So, I am gathering, this folio does not fit the thicker passport books, right? Do her TN passport covers fit the thicker books? Thank you!
No these won’t fit the thicker passport notebooks. But I have a video sharing her custom size that does. You can check that out and before ordering. I have two from her for the thicker books.
OMG they’re both stunning. Do you think the B6 will fit the Paper Tess Designs Planner? Or should I check with her first?
I would double check because that planner is thicker than a Stalogy. But you know what a - I think I have a B6 from her and I can test with a full year SterlingInk bc if that fits the PaperTess will. Let me check and I’ll get back with you.

I’ve, unsuccessfully, been searching for the barbs online. Where do you get the barbs for the elastics or what words should I use to search for them?
They are linked in my Amazon Storefront in the planners and notebook section. I have the silver but they sell gold too. I’ve got both listed. I’ve been using them for years and given some to friends too and still have lots - so it’s a worthwhile investment I think 💭
