When we ended Part 1 * • Chapter 46A - Full Day... , we had left the Gems Gallery and were on our way to “The Sanctuary of Truth”. This is an unfinished museum where the structure is a hybrid of a temple and a castle. It is themed around the Thai Ayutthaya Kingdom with presentations of Buddhist and Hindu beliefs. We had to don hard hats to enter as it's still under construction. We walked through an area where artisans were carving wood parts. The exterior was stunning and when we entered the building, we were overwhelmed by the grandeur of the place. Everywhere one looked, the surfaces were covered with ornate carvings and decorations. The attention to detail was stunning. After we had wandered around the building, we went outside and took a boat ride, saw and fed some elephants, and walked through the gardens. After we got back, we admired the sunset from the beach, then went to dinner at Benihana just around the corner from the hotel. We enjoyed the dinner and the ‘show’. Afterwards, we walked to a nearby bar street and had a few drinks while watching a cabaret show.
