All good things end, thus it’s time to bid Malaysia goodbye and move on with my travels. The next country is Thailand, the 55th country I have visited. I am especially excited bout this trip as it will be my first flight on a 787 Dreamliner. This will complete my Boeing airliner flights from the venerable 707, to the 717, 727, various versions of the 737, my favourite plane the 747, the 757, 767, 777, and now the 787. I settled into my seat for the just over 2 hours flight. I had paid extra for the first row of economy in order to have more legroom. We were served a delicious hot meal despite the short flight. I landed at BKK and did the formalities… but I had to wait a few hours for Neo’s Hong Kong flight to arrive, so I went to Starbucks to have a coffee. When Neo arrived, we took a grab to ‘The Davis’ hotel downtown where our spacious USD 110/night room featured a private hot tub!
