The different between Lindemann and Emigrate, is that the sound of Emigrate is more pop. My favorite songs are Rainbow, Eat you alive (you must react to this, for me is one of the best), Sileng so long (featuring Jonathan Davis from Korn), Hypothetical (feat Marilyn Manson), Rock City (Feat Lemmy Killmister) and Let’s Go (a beautiful song between the friendship of Richard and Till, Till sings too)

My favorite is Let's Go. It's amazing that they sing together about themselves because Till is quite closed and does not show his emotions in public
Eat you alive is fantastic, but the first album is better, Resolution and NYC are the best.

Def my fav song from Emigrate. I love your note about it being alt-rock. When I first started listening to him, I thought there was something familiar about it. And you're right, it's modern alt-rock that just gives me a lot of nostalgia

I just love Richard, that's such a pleasure to see his own project - sounds fantastic, has Rammstein vibes, is slightly based on Mein Teil but it is just completely new quality!

Rammstein is my Favorite band. I really like Emigrate and Lindemann (obviously). When I listen to this song and close my eyes I hear Richard sound almost like Ozzy Osbourne... Am I the only one?
Hi Detrucci, thanks for your statement about the song and the analysis of the music. For me as a non-native English speaker, the sound stands in the foreground. But so it becomes clear to me once again how English speaking people experience Rammstein.
Love your reaction here Detrucci. Emigrate is 100% Richard. He does everything. Writes the music, writes the lyrics. There are several videos where he has a band playing alongside him but ironically the people in the video (for the most part) are just placeholders. He used different people for the actual recording of the albums. Emigrate seems to have something of a "recording" band and a "who we have in the video" band. Richards current partner actually plays bass in a few of the videos and his young daughter appears in the acoustic version of "You're So Beautiful" which was a really nice video.
Richard has done some really great work with Emigrate. I highly recommend "A Million Degrees". It doesn't have a video but the track itself is freely available via the Emigrate channel. I think Richard has his best vocal performance there especially during the chorus. It's great!

First time checking out this song from Richard. Background sounds like Mein Teil and the chorus is reminsicent of Sonne just a little bit. But killer solo! Love it!

I'd say about half of the "Emigrate" discography features at least one other great artist on each song. They have worked with Jonathan Davis, with Tobias Forge, with Lemmy, with Marilyn Manson, with Till Lindemann (what a surprise), with German band Seeed and the list goes on. One hell of a rabbit hole.

Fun fact: Richard initially wanted Serj Tankian from System of a Down to perform this song, though Serj declined because he though Richard's vocals would suffice.

Rammstein describe themselves as a collective and everyone composes the songs together. Till writes the lyrics, he is a very good Poet. No one is the Head of the band, everyone is equal.

I recommend that you listen to Emigrate - Let's Go feat. Till Lindemann, this song was made by Richard to demonstrate his long friendship with Till, it is very beautiful and tells a little about their trajectory.

If you're interested in some Emigrate/Rammstein overlap, 'Let's Go' features Till Lindemann, and is such a cute friendship song. No video, though.
For emigrate my favorite tracks are in my tears ( or something like that; also the riff is directly plucked from Stein um Stein) and hypothetical (Marilyn Manson sings) and silent so long. Check those out.
Haven't listened to Emigrate before. I liked it but that background riff took me immediately to Megadeth's "Right to Go Insane"

A little late on this one, but I loved your reaction to this track. It's the opener off of their third album. I'd definitely suggest Let's go (featuring Till Lindemann) also off the same album or Resolution or Temptation which are off of their first album.

You mentioned needing to check out Nine Inch Nails. Try head like a hole, wish or perfect drug. There's definitely a NIN influence for Rammstein and Emigrate.
Richard actually didn't play the guitar for this song. He stated in an interview that another prominent guitarist from Berlin, who is friends with him, actually played the guitar for War.

The name Richard in German reads Rihard
Only their first album is good, the second is... meh, but the third is not bad, but only 1234 is "good". Wait and see for the 4th, may be rammstein riffs who they don t take for their 7th album, but I don t think because Rammstein planned a 8th album.
And annother thing, it s not Richard who wrote the riffs, but just the lyrics and the solos.
The 'big' sound is great, but the vocal is a bit Peter Gabriel. Sorry, he just doesn't have the vocal charisma of Till.
Why would you compare his vocal ability to Till though? I dont think it is a fair comparison.
Oh no, it's not, but comparison is inevitable. I find his voice too light is all.
