Have been flying in the Okavango Delta for 15 years, this scenery looks great! Looks like the okavango delta in flood. The first camp you flew over were Chiefs Camp, Xigera looks exactly like it does in the real world, the camp and its airstrip is spot on! This add on would be a great tool for doing scenario based training for new pilots. We dont buzz the airstrips anymore, game drives arrive 15min before ETA's and clear the airstrips, sometimes animals still walk onto the rwy which results in a go-arround. We do however join overhead to have a look at the windsock, rwy condition especially in the rainy season. We operate like flying taxis, picking up and dropping off pax. Turnarrounds is 10min. Tou can do up to 15 sectors in a few hours. The days of the islanders are sadly gone in the delta, too expensive to run, C208 Caravans are king, the company i work for at the moment have 17 of them. Well done on the vid, good work, enjoy!
Great to hear! I based my procedures on regular bush work rather than a more structured system you guys clearly have! Looks like a phenominal place to fly!
One of my favourite places in the world, one of my favourite planes in the world (probably my fave twin), one of my fave people recipient for a great video. Amazingly detailed and beautiful scenery, really done properly. Reminds me of my medics in the wild days (i was in Kenya but would visit the delta when I had time off). Great video Rachael as always. When you land the islander on a strip like that one notch of flaps is more than enough, save the barn doors for hard stops. Love you, Katherine
What a great place. Thank you for showing it! Since I bought this plane I see it everywhere in the background of pictures of bigger airports. It's a great plane and Blackbox have just released major functional updates. You can say it's fixed now if you don't mind the individual lights switches in the back of the cabin not working yet. A lot of work has been put into animations and finesse. Like adjustable sunblinds. Looove it!
Its breathafull lol. I would not have even bothered to look at this if you didn't do a video on it. I now have a new VFR area to fly. The 103 type airplanes might be fun here as well as the Long Easy and the EA-7 you did a video on not long ago just to name a few. Thank you for covering this.
Glad you like it! I hope to provide people with info I’d have wanted back in my fsx days... real looks and informative stuff on addons not just beauty shots
kind of wish they would have more wildlife in areas like this. yeah the scenery is pretty spectacular in a lot of places, but seeing a herd of wild animals race across the open plain
Incredible..! Such a great video on MSFS 2020 - the very best I’ve ever found here. (Seen so many). Thanks for this realism and your lively comments. Really seems like “the closest thing to actually being there”. After a long time practicing flight sim, please allow me to ask for your opinion on monitors. I still have my Samsung 27 inch, non curved. Now I’m looking for a 32 inch, still flat, WQHD, more hz. Viewing substance: normal desk, ca. 60 cm. What do you think, please?
I have this addon and love it - and it actually has 12,000 animals scattered throughout - saw one review where they said none of the animals were animated but I have seen a group of elephants moving a few times - one pair walked directly across one of the dirt strips. The landscape looks amazing, the resorts, airstrips, and cabins so well done. It is really worth the money and love your take on it. Good work, as always.
Also, if you just want to check out animals on the move in the place where you put where you want to take off or land, just type animals and it should show a list. All over, not just Africa.
I hope there will be scenery enhancement packs like this for South America. Will probably take some time until asobo gives some love to that region, since it's no big market
@@AvAngel Yeah. Yeah, it is. I can't wait for them to redo Alaska properly, as apart from areas like Anchorage and Juneau, the Asobo Alaska really sucks. No Seward, where I used to fly regularly, and the Kenai airports and airstrips are a joke. I live there, I find that flying in the area where you live adds to the realism. The city of Anchorage is not bad, the default houses work well for the building style here. I can pinpoint my house :). But you'd think they could have done the handful of downtown elevated buildings truer to life. You think you could entreat your almost 3K subscribers to go to Orbx's forums site and all ask them to make Alaska a priority? Pretty please with an airplane-shaped cherry on top? :D
I hhave hundreds of hours inside that plane, he is in LPEV and my fathehr is a skydiver, so i used to ride it alot AGROAR CS- DBO i think i even have pictures of it
Two months ago I went into the flightsim universe....what I (and also my wife) realized : U can spend a looooooooooooooot of money in that "game"...but damn...it´s worth it :)
I landed a heli down there and at the camps if you use your drone camera and are close to the animals they move their heads and wag their tails and such. The ones at the waters edge are actually on top of the water and bob up and down with the waves. But still a very nice camp.
was just watching you fly with all the nice surrouding scenery and was thinking you would make a perfect voice actor in a msfs2020 mission! You should look into possibly hooking up with some mission creators.
This is beautiful! Great flight and description, thanks. How do 3rd party scenery packs interface with the default scenery? What happens at the boundaries?
Flown in a real Islander long ago and remember everything was shaking ohh man rockin roll and when I had FSX had a free Islander and it shook sorta like the real thing. hmmm the sound of this is not quite Islander but hey close enough.
@@AvAngel yes it’s definitely a tangled messy affair for me but it’s worth it......most of the time. Anyway great videos. Piper Cherokee pilot here IRL. One thing I noticed about the sim. It is not kind to GA flying. Landings seem much more difficult in the sim. Something is off but I just can’t put my finger on it.
I know... but I only have one starter on my yoke and didn't want to waste 20 minutes of video going over full start up on a plane with no real systems depth. I'm well aware of procedure ;)

Thanks for the video. Hearing your voice is always a treat; good job.
Great little Souf Efrikan accent you have there :P Loving this bush flying stuff

I had to pause your video to go buy the scenery. Great review! thanks.

Sounds like a good option, I use a 144hz 27 myself, well two but the sim only on the main one, id go for a lower response rate personally
@@AvAngel Thank you! 😃 Is your (sim) monitor curved or flat?
Great video love your work thanks keep it up 👍

Totally are animated, I've seen them walking down the side of strips or across myself... It really is gorgeous!

I Love this Video on The BNI Plane is Awesome I hope too fly this Plane in the Sim soon I heard The Twin Otter is coming soon.
Dammit, you are costing me a fortune!!
Okavango, here I come.
Worth it!

It’s so pretty
As a South African, I approve of your accent lol!!!!
XD Thank god it wasn't too offensive :D

Tragic I know lol

another great video. thank you so much. does the auto pilot work?
Yep!

We fly gran caravans in the delta mostly though 😉
I noticed that the plane's registration is portuguese. Charlie Sierra. It should be from Angola or Botswana.😎
Where can I get this airplane please? Thank!
Blackbox’s islander

Seamless generally, the world looks so good now blending adding areas is easy

The means very much to me cause i am from Botswana 🤗 yall should pay a visit
Do you ever fly in VR
Sometimes but it’s a haste to get my headset out often

Nice video an great review! Next time fly low and slow to see more animals!
3:27 Argentine airforce ;)
oops! Similar roundels!
Can you do atc
What ai? I do role play it for actual flight videos but this was more show off the add on and explore
Please don't start both engines at once, no one does that (except if it's a game). Otherwise great vid.

if only we could bring along a fishing pole.. or rifle.. for self defense.
Heh yup
seriously! nothing good to see in Africa, tsk tsk try Tanzania
I meant in previous sims it was pretty meh,
