i wonder how much a lower engine mount would help looks like the engine moves quite a bit when revved, the lower mount helped on my veloster turbo i went from wheel hop to just burning off tires (ik it wasnt fast)
I was able to reach top speeds faster and the car is much more stable above 150mph , for example I would feel resistance in climbing past 160mph and now it’s effortless with regard to gearing , I’m running Toyo R1R 200TW , Ohlins R&T on Stage 3 Hybrid … With a diffuser the GTI has a similar sensation of traveling behind a tractor in draft … as soon as you upgrade your exhaust there is a gaping space behind the cavernous bumper cover…. I’m running Miltek catback / IE downpipe … The butt dyno seems to approve … Never undersell the importance of aero especially with vehicles built to cost like the GTI , Look into Aerofabb , not the B.S. bumper tack-on cosmetic diffusers .. there’s a big difference, you should give it a try.
I’m MK7.5 sir … these cars have a lot in common right? lol … I found a P/N for the MK8 diffuser VW-MK8-R-RD-CS … says it’s for the R , so it may fit your GTI , maybe it won’t … platform is still new. Regardless it’s an opportunity for you to make more content lol … I’ve been following you awhile … I’m a fan! … but not fan of the MK8 - thus far lol … with that said , I can’t wait to see what you do next.
@jabeard9 I appreciate the comment, the suggestion, and the views, but that doesn't sound like anything I'd be interested in. The speeds at which you say your diffuser benefits you are speeds i will NEVER achieve in my GTI, lol.
Literally just finished filming an hour ago! Neither of these parts should have affected the power made, but I mentioned they were installed in the video anyways.
Should have went TurboSmart kompact dual. No stupid vacuum lines runs exactly like oem with great sound, I had boost issues and sound was disappointing with the CTS.
I have one of those already from my B9 S4. Exact same part as you're referring to. I thought the TurboSmart was extremely underwhelming, so I tried something else.
@@VancityAudi I hope it's BFI 👀 I have their softest insert on my mk7 and it's done great to reduce wheel hop. There are certainly added vibrations, especially when reversing, but it doesn't really bother me. Although, I think I'd look into stiffening up the other 2 mounts as well, since the dog bone insert won't really eliminate that engine jumping around.
Making noise has certainly gotten more expensive and complicated. Back in the day, yanking out your airbox and stuffing a massive cone filter in its place, especially on the VR6 would make noise that, as James May would say, would make my bits tingle. 😛
It wasn't for me to begin with, haha. I simply wanted to do something different for this build. It wasn't annoying by any means, but it certainly made noises any time I let off the throttle after stepping on it a little.
Like you do with all VW & Audi products. Hold down the traction control button until it says 'OFF'. Then push the brake to the floor. Then, floor it. Once you've hit your requested RPM and boost levels, let your foot off the brake and off you go!
@blippyfpv4295 you do realize I owned one for a year? LOL. That IS how it works. You just haven't found the traction control button within your menu yet. It's there unless MT cars have zero traction control which is HIGHLY unlikely
Spend $ just to spend, with zero difference other than noise. You can scream out the window for $0 or Honk the horn if you want noise. These are "insecure" modifications / get secure 👍
😂😂😂 half the people that own sport cars are insecure and buy them to feel better about themselves. I know the demographic that buy these cars don't necessarily buy them to own a 'fast' car so instead we installed some noise makers to have some fun, lol.
Love these quick vids!
Thanks for watching!

It'll help a lot! That's one of my upcoming mods. Stay tuned!
Rear Diffuser is a game changer on these , didn’t realize I was running with a parachute
You've done before and after testing on the same day, with nothing changed other than the added diffuser to prove this claim?

Did you already film and test all the softwares? I see how these mods might not change power output but I mean. It could? lol

Sounds pretty good!

@@VancityAudi hahaha fair enough. I'd recommend 034 dogbone inserts really helps with wheel hop and helped shifts on my 6mt.
@qazrat I'll be using a different company's dogbone, but absolutely agree that it's desperately in need of one

@psnmadracer27 it most definitely isn't BFI. I used them on my last build, and they were WAAAAAAAAY too stiff even in their 'Street' configuration

When I upgrade to an open intake it'll make even more obscene noises, lol
All you need is an intake, and it will make this noise, but the bov makes it much louder 😂
I have that exact bov on my s3 now would that muffler fit on the s3? They still haven’t released one for the s3 sadly
If they haven't released one for the S3, that tells me that it wouldn't fit then, no? Lol
How is the bov driving around. I had one on my mk7 and it got annoying because it was going off constantly.

For the Cts TMD, do we reuse the larger o ring/ gasket ?
If I remember correctly, yes. It doesn't come with a new one.
How do you get launch control on your GTI? 😢

When is the intercooler coming?
I still have both software & hardware mods coming before I install an intercooler, but it's coming!
Next up: Pops and bangs! 🤣

does the turbo muffler delete cause a check engine light?
I wouldn't have installed it if it did
does this void your warranty?
Depends on how strict your dealership is. In theory, it shouldn't affect your warranty at all though.
Did it throw any codes?
Nope! I would have reported that if it did.
Before i buy one. How's the driveability with the setup?
@@devinmathis4548it doesn't change the drivability. They simply make stupid noises, lol.
