      IKR!!! was thinkin' the same. i mean, his wisdom in experience ALONE is just too expansive to be swatted with only a few questions, AND he's with cbs, for fuck's sake! both of these men are capable of diving into the deep end of politics, and it's a shame that they spashed around the shore. the book should've been given ample time for this first part, then a commercial break, then the really juicy stuff. very disappointing.

      What was the point of the "calm before the storm" remark? You keep that to yourself. Comment on the photo in 20 years, maybe. He can't play ANYTHING close to his chest. I am surprised that he doesn't pinch his weiner and dance around when he needs to go potty. He's a child. A "fucking moron".

    • @grandwonder5858

      To be honest, an average homeless man benefits society way more than Trump! At least the homeless man is not scamming people of their life savings, laundering money for criminal enterprises like the Russian and Italian mafias, or bribing judges and politicians so that he can steal from the government and the poor people by chasing them off their homes so that he could build fancy hotels over them!

    The idea that rural and central USA are out of touch because they don't have newspapers anymore is difficult to swallow. If Facebook can be accessed, then news can be accessed. Something other than FOX News and Alex Jones can be accessed. The problem is not method of media delivery. The problem is gullibility, lack of respect for knowledge, and an arrogant unwillingness to learn. The problem is also fear.

    • @youngrootv
      @youngrootv 6 років тому

      Beth S yeah, but also the Internet and sites like Facebook and Google tailor to you personally creating narrow minded views and helps make people ignorant. So for example if someone only ever read and looked at liberal articles online, then eventually they'll only see liberal articles. The same with if someone only ever read and looked at conservative articles. The Internet and internet sites use formulas based on what you view the most because it thinks that's what you want to see so the Internet in itself is creating narrow mindedness in a lot of people in America and spreading ignorance. And, unfortunately, many people really like easily digestible information that agrees with them and they don't take the time to see other viewpoints that could make them think differently. Unfortunately, the Internet has become a huge double edged sword

    - The best president
    - The greatest president you have ever seen. A tremendous president.
    - You've never seen a president like this, believe me
    - Because I know presidents, I am good at that
    - Nobody knew being a president could be this complicated, people don't know that
    - I like winners not losers, I like presidents who can preside
    - And there are no truly bad presidents, just voters on many sides, many sides
    - And not all presidents are bad, some I assume are good presidents
    - I've spoken to people who know presidents, and they agree with me
    - We're working on the perfect president, we're working on it
    - I have a plan for a great president, which I'll share with you later
    - This is a president surrounded by voters, big voters, human voters
    - Presidents are easy, you just grab them by the ######
    - And for those who don't agree with me, you're FAKE presidents!
    - Bing bing bong, BIGLEE!!!

      There's a huge difference between being "broken" and having the training and experience to know what to say and when. He's a legend in the industry and all those years of experience must come with knowledge of how to approach a question so your words aren't misconstrued.

    • @therealkbrackson
      @therealkbrackson 6 років тому +1

      neocelestia I wasn't dissing him. If that was my intent I would've simply said "that guy is a shitty journalist" so my words weren't misconstrued.

    • @neocelestia
      @neocelestia 6 років тому

      Not sure whether YT's eating my replies so forgive me if this is one of three. But to clarify: I was referring to him knowing how to make sure 'HIS' words weren't misconstrued, not yours. Never assumed you were dissing anyone, just giving my take on what I saw. Again, if this turns out to be one of multiple replies, I apologize. YT's not showing the comment after I post it. Take care :)

    Democracy Now has interesting interviews & digs deep, as well Al Jazeera tends to cover US news with less inflamed propaganda. An unbiased sweep of detailed reporting is always a better way to create a balanced perspective that includes mainstream media: Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, BBC, RT, CBC, Fox & CNN. As well it's helpful to read commentary of each audience base to understand the mindset of many around the globe.

      Fox isn't news, it's straight-up GOP propaganda (and they admitted as much while Ailes was in charge)...I'd look at Breitbart or Drudge before I'd go near Fox. Also...Al Jazeera is great for anything that isn't critical of Qatar (so, you won't hear anything about the 2022 World Cup preparations there), just as RT is fine for anything that doesn't make Russia look bad.

      Nothing good will come out of regulating the internet. If you knew anything about how the Big Six multimedia conglomerations, of what CBS, is a part of, which control 90% of all the media in the USA, you would know that they are very much in bed with government. If you wanted filtered news, go ahead and watch CBS/NBC/FOX/WHATEVER. But if you want FREE INFORMATION, then use the internet! Keep internet free! Do not allow the government to use the 2016 election as an excuse to DESTROY THE INTERNET.

    I grew up in the era of the big news networks. It was a great privilege to grow up in the 1970s in the era of great journalism. There is a crop of young people who want to go digging for & writing about the truth. Unfortunately, it is hard to make a living as a journalist today. Our democracy & our communities are in peril as a result. Group think by alt-right manipulation is like a virus spreading across red-state America with the internet as the vehicle for transmission.
