Yeah boy 🏍🏍
After 10 years in my recommendation
This'll be my bike in a few months, in black. I'm super excited to start riding!
I have just bought this bike full ABS version build & ride quality is fantastic & I have had CBR 600F GPZ 500 & this little Honda brings a smile to my face every time its so light & flick able with punchy engine ...I just ride it & love it .
thanks rob, I wasn't practicing on the road. I just purchased the bike off previous owner and was getting the bike back to my house I couldn't get anyone to do it for me. It was a very daunting experience.
best words of wisdom I've heard so far this decade
I'm a new rider and recently stopped by my areas Honda dealer to look at this bike...it is very sleek, comfortable, and the price is great for a new ride 250 cc or otherwise. I am passionate about bikes and will use it for commuting everywhere as often as possible...rain, light snow etc...I already know I will be made fun of for being a safe rider and owning a 250 and I honestly do not care. Anyone that rips on someone else for being safe has some major issues within themselves.Good day everyone
You'll definitely feel the drop in power, but it won't have any effect on your practical usage of it. This bike is my only transportation, and I can vouch that it works perfectly for commuting. You won't have *any* trouble getting it well over 80mph, and even this little beauty can out-accelerate most cars without any real effort.
ninja doesn't give you much speed, I think like .06 difference between the two for 0-60
I'm thinkin' I may park the ol' '83 Nighthawk and get me one of these. I love my classic black beauty, but I wouldn't mind having something else like this!
very good review! Great long footage of a rider riding the bike and vast information. It would be even better if you would specify some numbers for example as top speed, hp, mpg. But overall a very good review
The CBR125R wasn't sold in the United States where the video intro was made. I had a CBR125R. Great around town bike.
When i first bought my ninj 250r i never stalled it. Go to a emty place and practice. If you let go of the clutch slightly, you wil realise the bike moves by its self. All u have to do then is give it abit of throttle and let go of the clutch completely and the bike will move. It wil take practice til your flawless but its very easy and traffic lights is not good spot to learn, because u keep thinking whats around you and whos looking at you. Instead of focusing on what your doing.
HONDA es lo maximo , hace pocos dias la cbr 250 r llego al PERU , is very beautiful .
@ylism No problem! Just so you know that's the highway mph, a combination of highway and back roads is the same but subtract about 10 - 20 from both.
@SRT480 Thanks for the support! Always appreciate like minded riders.
HONDA IS MY LIFE, MY RIDE, MY ADVENTURE.
Kapan iso tuku ya........
@gregnmac It is already for sale in Indonesia, check your Honda website for details, it's around 39jt for standard and 46jt for ABS version (if I remember correctly).
Make sure the clutch lever free play is adjusted too. There should be between 10-20 mm of wiggle at the end of the lever. There should be pictures in the manual. You just need a screwdriver and a light tap to loosen the lock collar.
A bike with no free play or too much free play will be hard to clutch smoothly! Not something you want to fight with while learning. :)
Good video!
I watch this over and over =p can't wait for mine too lol xD
The CBR250r is just perfect for what you want buddy.
You can have as much fun on a small bike as you
would have on a bigger one.
Anyone who says otherwise should get their asses
on the tracks that's the place for you to push limits
and get wiped out, apart of that riding has to be a joy.
Well I know how to ride it now, im 15 and its pretty common for senior high students to ride a bike for daily transport to school
@mikemsaggus the rr is a racing bike, and as far as i know it is not made anymore. Now the r on the other hand, is a beginners/town commuter bike, which is very low maintenance 8,000 miles every oil change, and 16,000 miles for a valve check, im sure your rr will not say go 16,000 miles every valve check, plus the rr is a 4 cyl so it is 4 times the work. Either way maintenance isnt going to be fun for your rr, mechanic, or home work.
The best Bike from Honda...........
@gow913 I'm 6'1" and the ninja250 fits me perfectly. I would recommend that you buy a used 250 for your first year or so because you will learn much more, more quickly than if you got a 600 as your first bike. Once your happy with your skill, you can sell it for what you got it for and get your bigger bike. BUT keep in mind that a 250 can beat out around 90% of the cars on the road and it's also funner to ride a slower bike fast than it is to ride a fast (and extremely heavy) bike slow. And you
@RBusmcRB
Hi. I live in Australia and i'm 6ft, 5inch and 187 pound (85kg). The bike is very comfortable for me to ride but I did have to lower the gear pedal a little 1st. My legs fit snuggly into the grooves unlike the Ninja where my legs stick out around the fuel tank. I am SO happy I bought my CBR 2 weeks ago and have had no regrets. You'll love it.
Haha that was so amazingly funny, good job smart-guy with that random comeback even though it wasn't needed.
@spyeyeklom1 The CBR125R wasn't available in the United States, where Sport Rider Magazine is published.
@vtrmcs For me, it was the cost of insurance. A used EX500 would cost twice as much to insure. The CBR250R is a very capable commuter.
@027Erik It's a great first bike, budget sportbike or capable commuter bike. But if you tend to ride with your friends who have faster bikes, you may want to consider something a bit more powerful; you can also let them ride ahead and catch up later.
@NoxNoctisUmbra It might be a cliche, but it's a matter of what suits you better. Go sit on them, ride them and pick one. They're are both really good bikes in their own right. So I guess what I'm saying is that you can't go wrong with either.
@cheezgrated
I'm having dificulty maneuverring at low speeds, the bike is big and heavy (around 200 kg), also I rarely use its full potential, traffic filtering is most of my commute and 98 hp is overkill. And yes, it's fast to, I can break the law in first gear.
@man101610 There is no minimum height. But if it's your first bike, you can have the seat shaved down or the suspension slightly lowered if you want the confidence boost from having a foot firmly planted on the ground. You could put frame sliders on there to protect the fairings or levers in case you do drop the bike. But as a shorty rider, you will have to be aware of where you are putting your foot down. Just can't be lazy. :)
agreed, I don't need a ton of power. can't beat that mpg
i love riding so much
I'v been set on buying the Ninja 250r for the last year, especially since I can pick up a used one for around $3,000. But, the fact that this thing has F.I. is making me really consider buying a new bike.
It actually looks quite nice as a naked bike underneath. No Ducati Monster with bright painted trellis frame, but still quite nice. If I ever lose the fairings on my bike, I'll convert it over to a naked bike.
I have a 600 honda shadow, im kind of thinking about buying one to see if ill like the sport bikes better
I want this bike so bad
@VantageAngel According to Honda of W-S (NC)'s website, it starts out at $3,999.
This is a nice bike
@blackstar2008 It's easy to ride motorcycles at speed, but hard to ride them slowly because the bike feels unstable. But it's something you can get better at.
Try taking it to a parking lot and practicing your clutch friction zone. Once you're happy with starting and stopping smoothly, start adding in low speed turns. And then U-turns and progressively tighter circles. It will increase your confidence, and make your motorcycle feel less big and heavy. Be in control of your bike. :)
why don't everyone who consider him/herself a "real biker" just respect another biker regardless of the engine size..
what makes a biker a real biker is not how big the engine he/she has, but how big the respect he/she can give to other people..
@blackstar2008 Too powerful? Do you feel the bike is too fast or are you having a hard time starting and stopping smoothly?
The EFI sold me on this bike. I was going to get a Ninja 250R, but the American model lacks EFI.
i checked the cbr250r an i gotta say its gonna be my starter bike, the dealer had a ninja 250r an the cbr i sat on both but the cbr felt better to me.
@JoshW23 If you're absolutely new to riding, I would suggest getting a 250 first to get a feel of how a 600 or higher CC would be. 250s are more forgiving if you're new and make mistakes. It's quite difficult if you start with a 600. You could always move up to a 600cc when you're ready. :D
@Daschickenify depends on the state here in Minnesota it has to be below 50cc to be a moped. what state do you live in?
ME ENCANTA ESE MODELO PERO UNA PREGUNTA DE CUANTAS HORAS DE RECORRIDO PODRIA DAR ASI DE SEGUIDO
Booked this bike Jan.... but I ll get the bike in April... sooooo long waiting
:'(
I do a lot of work in the city as a bar tender with an agency and as such has to go to a different place just about every shift. I do have to take some gear and a suit with me. Is getting this bike worth it or should I look into a scooter with more storage? I just feel that all the protective gear, boots, dragon jeans, jacket and helmut would just be too much stuff to take into a venue and hope no one steals it.
I'm a beginner I just bought one today. I'm having trouble with finding the friction zone whilst trying to keep it from stalling. The way I'm doing it is I hold the clutch and slight twist of the throttle then slowly release the clutch but I panic as the bike isn't moving or the friction zone hasn't grabbed yet so I'm thinking it's going to stall any second now so I give it more throttle. The engine revs like mad and I release the clutch some more but then I stall. So embarrassed at the lights.
@spitball301 They do in Canada.
@MrDarrinWarren The CRF 150RB is a racing bike, which means it has a lightweight piston, and flywheel, plus a bigger than streetbike rear sprocket. But the bad part is you have to rebuild the engine every 15 hours of racing, and thanks to its bigger sprocket, the top speed is reduced. Now none of these things are realistic for a 250 street bike, unless it is a real racing bike.so its no wonder your dirtbike will beat the streetbike.
I'd love to get this bike. Would definitely be better than my car on gas, especially since it's about an hour to my new potential job.
@riotforce1 I think riding in town just need a helmet? other stuff can be stuffed into a backpack?
@venom400 Best way to shut them up is run lead on a cruise through some twisties and leave them in the dust and when they finally catch up and stop at the end and are in shock over how much distance you put on them laugh and say when you guys going to get a 250r?
Going to get them, maybe the next 2 year....
@MrDarinWarren Yea i have to agree with you to on that i have seen riders pin it on dirt bikes and go flying off there bike not expecting that kinda power.
@norybsamoht I agree. But from what I have read this bike has to work fairly hard at 70 mph. It vibrates a lot. From what I have read, a beginner should get the Honda CBR250R. An experienced rider should invest in the Ninja 250R. Just what I have read.
Problem with the video. It freezes at 59 seconds.
@jeffreymcneill honda says 77 cuz if you are on strictly highway at EXACTLY the right rpm its "supposed" to get that. The ninja is also. About 75 or so. But on average if you ride well they will do 55 atleast. Just don't over do it.
@masbrataful I hope u can tuku it anytime soon.
Mind if I ask, is it being sold in Indonesia
or at least any rumor about it?
@EnjoyLifeVideos 250cc's have a good take off, but how fast do you want to go taking off???
From what I've read, these are supposed to be launched worldwide in November and I haven;t found the base price yet? Can anyone tell me the sticker price on release?
someone please answer!!! How is the bike with a pass anger on too?? Is it possible and is it uncomfortable? And can he bike handle it?? I'm talking about like a passenger that's light not heavy.
@TheCyborganic
How did you lower the gear pedal do you have a photo while you r on the bike?
Im same height with you and wonder if am I fit that 250cc or think transalp xl700
Πολύ καλό!!!
I ride a moped and haven't ridden gears before.
Im around 5ft4, would you recommend the 125 or the 250?
@ylism I weigh 250 pounds and I got 56 MPG when it was new and now I get 60 - 63.
amigo sabes en que tienda la exiben aca en chiclayo por favor,,, quiero comprarmela, tal vez unos piques con apuesta luego
I should have started with this bike. My FZ6 is way too powerful for in-town/ traffic jam commute.
@2cool0 Ninja250 is faster by like 10mph and has 2 cylinders but Cbr250 has better acceleration, uses fuel injection rather than a carburetor getting better MPG. This bike would be awesome if it had just a slightly bigger engine maybe 400cc but a lot of countries have restrictions on bikes larger than 250cc (taxes, beginer licenses ect...) i suppose thats why the different 250's and below are gaining in popularity.
very good advice bro
Why they didnt show his engine sound?
@brainysnaeha well, the ninja is faster....but it reallt comes down to preference. which one you think looks better, etc
Question to seasoned riders. im new to bikes and plan on taking my course in the coming weeks...looking to buy a motorcycle whenever funds are available only problem is not sure what to look for. I kno a 600 might be a little too much power for a younger rider but i fear the 250 is too small for me, size wise. im 6 ft and i wanna get a bike that size appropriate for me. plz respond back
did he work for honda before starting at Sportrider?
Hi you have the music in the Background for me pleas ?
Would the CBR250R fit a tall person a little better than the ninja 250? Any takers?
@venom400 Right ..... and once yah get the 650 they all show up on 1000's and ask ... "when yah gettin a 1000 ?" I love this bike and thinking of getting one .. I would never get anything bigger than a 650 it's just a waste. This bike will put a smile on your face just the same.
It's about time Honda brought out a CBR 250 but why does the styling mimic the VFR1200?
If anything it should look like a scaled down CBR 600 RR or Fireblade. And Honda, WHAT'S WITH THE HEADLIGHT SHAPED LIKE UNDERPANTS?
@ylism About 85 mpg, while the ninja 250 gets about 65
whats minimum height to be able to fit on this bike? or pretty much any bike? 5'3"?
just bought 1 today, any tips ? i know how manual clutch and shift work, but never tried it.
hi guys..i would like to buy a 250cc superbike but i want it to be an inline 4 cylinder high revving like previous cbr250. one or two recommendation people. any bike is possible.
hmm im stuck now, i wanted a cbr 600cc for my first bike but realised that wld be signing my deathwish, i dont want a 125 cus i feel i will 'outgrow' it after 6 months or so. so i was gna go for somin like a hornet or cb600, something i wont get bored of and thats not race tuned like the cbr600. but now this 250r is coming out. HELP!
@ReddJ26 good call man, you will get way more seat time if your not in the hospital or have you license revoked!
anyone know the song at the beginning? This is going to be my first bike BTW not sure what color to get it.. any suggestions?
did i spot mulholland hwy? haha:)
Honda's thinking about marketing an eco-friendly, easy to ride bike to the world. Honda's not building a hardcore race replica this time around. If you want a MC19, then get a MC19. There are also CBR400RR and VFR400R if you want your four cylinder fix.
@cheezgrated hmm, i'll half let them off, but still, they say it is hondas smallest cbr...which it isnt, it's just the smallest available in that country :P
The 125 wasn't offered in the United States in 2010.
@wardwares Absolutely,I have to agree with you but he or she can use either he/she or they. There's a saying "You can only judge and redirect but you are not the boss of me".
@brainysnaeha Think the Ninja is 33bhp, Where this CBR is around 29bhp, Only a small difference but I'm sure its noticeable, I personally prefer the Ninja, more mainstream with a nice "bigger bike" look, This 250 has the same body as the 125 so it is small in comparison to other bigger bikes
@1000miles2paradise How tall are you exactly? Some tall guys have said they feel comfortable while others say they do not on this bike, your best bet would be to go into a dealership and sit on the bike and determine the comfort value for yourself.
I sat on my friend's CBF125 and felt comfortable on that, I checked out the dimensions of that bike and this and they aren't too different so for me this should be okay, oh and I am 6ft 1.
Damn this bike is sexy, can't wait to get one.
yes go
if i could though, i would like to live in hawaii, but that is about it for me in america. i would like to save up some money if i can and find a better place to live, you may not think it but Lebanon is actually really nice i've been there 3 times and would like to move their
yo la compre en honda de los inkas, jaja pero ahora ya ta por todos lados
@xXGFYXxjibs I ride mostly city and I get around 73 US mpg. I caned it hard on one tank of gas and dropped it to 71 mpg. I weigh 100 lbs though. Still, fuel economy's the least of your worries with the CBR250R. :)
