When I clicked on settings, the page that came up looked very different. There was no Github Pages subheading and therefore no option to publish. Help?
Hi Tony! Maybe GitHub changed its setting.... So I couldn't find the "theme" on the "GitHub Pages" you showed at 4:44. In fact, the whole "Pages" setting was moved to a left panel on the repository setting page. Do you know how to change the theme in the new version of repo setting?
Seems like Github made some changes with how this works. I don't see the themes either and the directions on how to add themes seems very confusing. anybody figure it out?
i ad an issue and cnt figure it out pz sombdy help me.. in my github account i canit fidn github pages from where i can select a theme...plz some one help me
@@TonyTeachesTech One question though, how can you remove my repository name on the page? I mean the blue link of at the very top. Is it possible to remove it?
If i initially dragged my website files from my computer, and then i made changes, do i have to redrag the entire file to make the changes? Or do i just drag the file where i made the change? For example, just the index.html and style.css files, instead of my entire portfolio file? Hopefully that makes sense.
Fatatastic tutorial. Step by step. Are you still available to help us with any query regarding difficulties faced in creating pages in GitHub, by a beginner.
Hey mate, great video! So did you have to do anything during the pause at 3:55? Mine is not coming up after I click Commit Changes. Did you just waited?
Are you able to link to different html files from your index.html?? if i wanted to create a portfolio website in my index.html. with a bunch of links to my different projects ive built. in like a ./projects/project1/index.html. will that work? can i link to and from that, to show off different projects, and then link back to my portfolio ?
I didn't either but I figured it out! Try this: Still go into the settings tab that is to the right of "insights". Once I scrolled down I couldn't find the Github Pages tab that should be right above the "Danger Zone" section. The solution is scroll up and look to the tabs to your left. You should see something like: Branches, Tags, Actions, ect... go to Pages and that's what you need! Hope this helped!
Thanks bro This video is very helpful but i have a question i think you will answer me that how to upload a file Which I have coded and saved inside my computer please reply me

I might have an issue. My github username has capital letters in it. Should i change my username or is the naming of the repository not case-sensitive in this case, or will it convert the capitals into lower case letters because it is a url? I would think that it is not case sensitive. That's a really good question if github pages will show up in search result. I honestly don't know the answer to this. Github repo pages show up, so I don't see why not
