This song got me through some dark times in 2018. I was dealing with severe depression, anxiety and to the point where there was suicidal thoughts. Then one evening I literally hit rock bottom and then said to myself I need to get myself sorted. When ever I had a slip I would listen to this song repeatedly to remind myself what I was fighting for.
This song means so much to me and got me through some dark times and reminded me that I was wanting to fight to sort myself out. Then just last night I watched Sum 41 for the first time ever and they played this song, thinking they wouldn’t ❤️. Thank you Sum 41

I love Sum 41 a lot, I'm such a big fan of them I basically know every song off by heart. I'm so happy Deryck pulled through and now we can see him the other side of his alcoholism, sober. Idk, what I would've done if 'The Sums' weren't around anymore. Their comeback is great 13 Voices (album) and Order In Decline are amazing, at least they've not gone rubbish like some other bands. This track is emotional, about his battle, and you can see him burning his past away because he doesn't want to associate with certain parts of his past. Sum 41 forever🤘💖💖

Hearing those new songs from old punk rock bands lets me hope they all come back. Wouldn't it be great if Deryck said when he woke up: 'Guys, let's bring punk rock back again and release an album in a year from now on. ' So bands like Good Charlotte, Green Day, Blink 182, Simple Plan etc. would "compete" in this event and a big Punk Rock Event will be held? I think it would be my greatest year ever. And reuniting My Chemical Romance.
Sum 41 and Green Day are both releasing their albums on the 7th of October. I kinda like what these guys have become right here. Love how it sounds and feels.

I just comeback again for looking sum 41 songs after 2009 (my favorite song that time is "still waiting", "pieces" and "there's no solution").... I feel nostalgic and very glad that they still release songs in 2016... And, they still have some consistent about song style that they bring today.

I get that this song is about the singer getting over addictions, but for me this song has so much more meaning. I'm depressed and this song describes me whenever I fall back. I don't want to, and I'll keep fighting, but I don't know for what I'm fighting anymore. For the life I don't want to live? And also bullying. I thought it was over. But no, one girl from my baseball team has decided I don't deserve to be happy, and everytime I say a word, she immediately makes me feel so bad. This song keeps me going.

I think 13 voices is a phenomenal album. It’s very personal with Derek alcoholism and his recovery. He really opened up on the album and to me it is my favorite sum 41 album.

This was actually the first song he wrote for the album. He wrote it when he was at a point where he wasn't making any progress in his recovery and was wondering how he was going to get back on his feet

That's a fair assessment. The hardcore fans will beg to differ, but sum 41 was most prominent years on years ago, so making a more radio friendly track from a business standpoint makes sense for today
He wrote this song in 2014 while he was recovering, this was before they were signed to hopeless records. He said this song is really personal to him and saved his life cause instead of giving up and drinking again and throwing away hi life cause recovering was taking so long he wrote this song

Good Charlotte and Sum 41 have become two of my three favorite bands and I started to like them as they made a comeback. They started as bands about the time I was born but I wish I could be the age I am now that time because that's when music was good. My third favorite band is the Beastie Boys and they aren't coming back as the Beastie Boys and probably not at all because of MCA's death but I am glad those two bands are making a comeback even though I never listened to them before.

This is pretty unlike Chuck lol. The singles from Chuck aren't very representative of the album.

+giorgioskb The point is that the slow singles from Chuck are really the only slow, ballad esque songs on the album. They don't represent the album because they are the only songs of that nature. We're All To Blame is certainly a bit heavier than the majority of the album as well. No Reason was the only single that was in line with most of the album.
Chuck is my favorite as well and I listen to the album very frequently. This is not Chuck. This is a Sum 41 ballad.

+Kyle Simpkins (chump27) Personally I think California was really good. It was processed and the songs weren't the best but it wasn't horrible. The songs were catchy and still sounded good.
It was good but it didn't top Untitled. To me it looked like they didn't put much effort in, needed to pull out an album ASAP and fill the void with 'whoah oh' and 'nanana's'. I seriously like Neighborhoods more, but that's just my opinion.
I just hope their new album will be better then Blink's
