Look at you mister inspector gaget great mod I need to get me one of those Webber not sure how it will settle with Mrs Camphouse lol with all the pits laying around thanks for the great tips
Great hack! I thought there was a way to use the Thermopro like this. I was close to getting a Meater®, but was put off the fact that the probe is the size of a pencil, and it's pricey.
Used this method for my holiday bird.... wish there was a way to ALSO accommodate the Fireboard 2 fan cord, but so far i haven't figured that part out!
Won't the rubber band melt from the heat from the grill? Any alternative to something other than a rubber band to hold the transmitter onto the handle? Great video and information!
Excellent mod, but can you run 2 temp lines through the spit rod bushing in order to measure both meat and bbq temp? In this video it appears you’re only measuring meat temp.......
Damn...clicking the thumbs up 50x doesn't raise the count 50x...absolutely, brilliantly, genius
That a smart fix. I just went for the MEATER + probe to solve this but this is brilliant
Well done.tried it tonight and worked great.
Awesome!
Thanks for this! Can’t wait to try it out
Thanks Jay! I was about to pull the trigger on one of those Meater wireless thermometers when I came across your video!

Pretty cool hack! Nice one Andrew
Thanks Todd! Cheers bro!
I need a Rotisserie. Very slick idea Andrew.
Great video once again even though I don’t have that grill nor setup
Yeah Rich, rotisserie is a BBQ game changer!
Very helpful,thank you very much.
Awesome video!!!!
Yes it looks like it works...BUT my unit got too hot by being close to the grill and it died so this doesnt work.
How were your coals setup? I would not bank them on the side where your transmitter is.
@@GrillSergeant I used the weber kettle rotisserie baskets, so they were not on the same side as the digital thermometer

Cool mod bro
Thanks Kenneth! We still got to rock that collab soon! lol
@@GrillSergeant i dont recall what it was gonna be lol but i agree. Lets make it happen
Great hack! I noticed that you did not use the thumb screw with the bushing. Should we not use it or is it optional? Thanks Joe
JoeA Works with or without it...

Andrew Lavender You can run two lines through the spit rod bushing if you want...
Nice trick, but what to do if you have an iGrill 3 on your Genesis II
I have the tiny single port iGrill , not sure if it is still for sale, that I’ll try this on. The 4 port is too big. Same with my other temp monitors.
