The Air 3 is a Fantastic drone. My last drone was the Phantom 4, so anything is better. A mini 3 would be better. The transmission system is incredible.
Have you tried it with RC2 and goggles? I want to use the sticks with goggles. Waiting to see if someone can confirm it works by powering goggles after take off.
No it does not work. It used to work with mini 3 pro.. you had to turn on rc2.. but the drone in air and after that, turn on goggles and let it connect.
Here is my biggest question with this combo.....how can we switch cameras on the Air 3 using the MC2 or Googles 2.....is there a way to switch from the 24mm to 70mm...while flying....? If not, whats the quickest way to do this......???????
No, you cant, for seafty reasons. If you wold switch to the 70mm, you would loos the sense how close you are to objects. Same as you would look with binoculars and try to walk. I feel like the fpv idea on the air 3 is to make the cinematic shots of amooth fpv flying.. close to objects. Or just have fun. I have not tested, but as i remember you can lock the gimble til sideways on the drone to fpv mode. So it would feel even more like a fpv while tilting the drone.
Can you swtich to the 70mm zoom lens on the Air 3 control....then switch over to the MC2 and fly it with the 70mm lens...? Or does the MC 2 controller only fly with the 24mm lens..?
@@cestohvxd it only fltes with the 24mm as far as i know. It had a update, i will.check it out if can switch. But i feel like for safety reasons you can not do that.
@timoklap does the FN dial on the Motion Controller do anything...does that change the camera from 24mm to 70mm..? But you can fly the Air 3 with its own controller with the 70mm lens correct...?
@@cestohvxd nope, i tested. I even did that "hack" when turned the RC2 on 1st and after that goggles. On mini 3 pro.. you could use the RC to controll the drone and sametime see the flight from goggles. On the air 3 and mini 4 pro it does not allow to do that. The roller tial changes the menu options.the orange button is to start the motors and stop the motors or paus the flight. The gray button is to change from normal to sport mode. And while keep pressed.. i think it made the drone RTH. Why would you want to use the 70mm lens..? I imagen flying with an 70mm lens would feel like having binocliares on and walk 😄
No. For safety reasons dji did not but that option into menu, guess they do not want you to fly with a 3x zoom in fpv mode.. like flying with binocilaris on. Cos with goggles on you will not have a lone of sight to the drone.
Hey, any idea if it is possible to use the Integra with a Air 3 and RC2? I saw that goggles Integra was compatible with the Air 3 but I can't get the three to work. My controller is bound to the aircraft. The goggles are bound to the aircraft. If have the controller on and the aircraft I have video and I have control. If then I turn on the goggles I loose control but I have video. Turn off the goggles then I get back video and control for the controller. If I plug the goggles into fly on my table the table shows the goggles as a connection. If I plug the integra into the RC2 and look on the fly app then no such connection. I think i effed up the binding process. I did actually connect the goggles to the table fly app and not the controller fly app. maybe that is where I went wrong. Not sure. I may play around with bindings, but its like the controller and the goggles aren't compatible. Maybe only working with the motion controller, goggles Integra and the Air 3. Any thoughts?
The air 3 will work with integra or goggles 2, and only motion controller 2. But i have heard that... if.. you bind the goggles to air 3.. and then turn them off.. turn or cr2 and but the drone to air.. and turn of goggles.. some say it work then. Have not tested
@@timoklap Didn’t read that anywhere. Luckily I can use them with an 03 Air Unit. I don’t know much about the motion controller. That gives the drone more of an fpv experience, right? An actual fpv feel, or just tilting the camera. Like the phantom 4 did?
@@markgiles8527 well yeah, it does and make it easy to operate. But you cab not til the drone over 45 degrees, no flips and so on like on a fpv drone on manual mode😅
Turn the Dron On make sure the goggles are bind to it. First take off using the RC and then once its off the ground… Turn ON the goggles and resume flying. If you turn the goggles before take off you will get a message saying you cant take off without the motion controller or something…
Hmmm i have not tried out, i will test it, thanks for pointing it out🤘 also will make a better video to show how to switch inbetween drones on goggles menu.
Hmm i have not tested yet out. I think.. the range is better when i go higher up🤔 the highest i'm allowed to go in my location is 50m. Eventho thr air 3 can go 1000m high. But tnx. I will test it out. As much as i know it works 20km with the RC2 o4 controller.. so guess with goggles 2 atleast 10km
Not anymore. Before there was a "hack". When you turnes rc2 on.. set it to flighr and turn on goggles. Then you could see the image from goggles and operate the drone fro. Rc2. I never get to try that out. Would have been cool. I'm not sure witch update took it away. Guess dji wants to be safe and let to use only mc2 with goggles.

Nice. I`m about to buy the air 3 just for this reason. I love my Avata and Air 2s. This would be the best of both worlds.
The air 3 is alot of drone for that price.
My experience is that the controller will last three batteries then it’s flat. Not much good when I purchased six. 😂

Is there a Follow Mode/Horizontal Steady option for the air 3 while using the DJI Goggles 2? It seems to fly in FPV mode. Thanks
Yes, you can turn off fpv mode. So it uses all the movements of the 3 axis gimble. In fpv mode it locks thw sideways tilt gimble
Hey Timo! Thanks for the video. Are DJI FPV Goggles V2 (The previous model with 4 antennas) compatible with AIR-3?
No, only integra and goggles 2. Also v2 does not have head tracking. Does not support 1080Hd picture and other features
nice im about to get me a air 3... what googles i need for fpv?
Googles, integra, goggles 2 or goggles 3
What is/was the center box displayed at the bottom? I have the air 3 with MC2 & Integra and have not seen that before
I have not tested it anymore, but i belive if i connect it woth phone. The it gets data and shows a mapp?

not in europe, i also did not bind the goggles with drone, it tells that can fly 5 times without binding.
