Im a Michigan Fan but northwestern fight song is both nostalgic and brings back good memory’s and the fight song is very strong and makes everyone happy weather it’s Ryan field or the Welsh Ryan Arena.go blue and go purple good luck to this year against us! 🟣🟡
Question! How is it that all of these high schools share this song yet my high school is less than 5 mins away from NU and we share nothing but only 1 cadence in which we say "Kits" instead of "Cats"
Hail all you Cougars Fight with all your might. Honor, strength, and courage For the silver, black and white. ON COUGARS! Fight on to victory Let your banners fly. You are the best and brightest, Number One Forever Tom Clark High.
That's a spirited fight song, and the band is playing it with a lot of energy. I'm somewhat miffed for them that the team members walking by hardly acknowledge it, except one guy at the end who waves his hand to the beat. But I guess that Northwestern won a 49-48 barnburner that day so the team displayed some spirit of its own.

Is this song played in the movie "Something Wicked This Way Comes"? My memory of the movie which I haven't seen since 1983 has definitely faded, but the movie is set in the 30's or 40's and the song is old enough to have been played back then without anachronism. Every character in that movie had a wish which Mr. Dark might grant and I think that one of them had lost an arm which ended his dreams of football glory. As he relives his glory days with Northwestern on the gridiron while puttering in his shop, he is singing this song. Or maybe my memory is playing tricks on me, but that's how they SHOULD have staged it.
I haven't seen the movie. Google searches turn up no "Northwestern" connection with this movie. But if you do watch again, let me know if your are able to confirm your recollection?
@@BenSlivka The character is definitely as I describe him: a tavern owner who was once a Northwestern football player. He lost his left arm and that ended any hope of his continuing a football career and he now lives vicariously through the current (in his timeline) Northwestern football team, while wishing that he could still be out there on the field. It's that particular hunger of his which the evil influences in the movie exploit, and other characters have other vulnerabilities subject to being exploited. Sad to say, I don't see that the tavern owner ever sings this song as he sweeps the walkway outside his tavern or wipes off the counter while reminiscing of past glories. But that's how they SHOULD have done it.
