Stewart Copeland was a GENIUS!!! I’m guessing from being around Andy and Sting so long, and composing music for film, just cause he was a drummer/ percussionist he knew how pitches worked, and understood which notes work in a scale, all you pretty much need to understand is Ionian/ Aeolian/ minor blues/ major blues/ pentatonic and you’re good to compose great music! Besides Neil Peart, Bill Bruford, and John Bonham.... Stewart Copeland is one of my favorite drummers as well and I’m a bassist. Lol

Goodness, I swear that there isn't a single track from MM5 that isn't a banger. Charge Man's theme is the one I have trouble remembering the most, but even listening to it outside of the game, I can't help but love it. The game really is my favorite of the NES games, haha.
I agree Megaman 9 has my favorite music in the franchise with megaman x and 5 close behind it. all the classic mega man games really had great soundtracks except 4 and some of 8.

This is possibly your best one that I've heard, but that could also be because the source material is also fantastic.
Megaman 9 has a pretty damn fantastic soundtrack, I especially love Tornadoman, Plugman, Galaxyman, Magmaman, Hornemant, Fakeman, Wily stage 1,,2, 3, Wily Machine 9 and Endless stage tracks. Awesome soundtrack nonetheless.
It's a hard call, but I'm inclined to agree. I think it's not as appreciated partly because the compositions are more complex.
