You’re hired! I’ll let Pete know he’s riding in the back of the truck on Tuesday.
That was a rather impressive hive. I’m glad y’all found it.
Thanks so much for the great shout out!

The best cutouts involve no repairs to a building. Good going.

This hive was on my neighbor’s property across the street…. So glad he shared this with us. Was awesome to see it in person. Once in a lifetime experience I think.

The more I learn about bees the more amazed of them I am. I'm surprised that she's just standing there unafraid and they're not stinging her.

What a great find! That is a really nice sized colony. It is not very often that you would find that in Missouri. Great video guys! Looking forward to the update.

That's wild! I didn't see how big it was at first but after seeing how huge those combs were, it was massive and those guys have been there for a long time.
I hope they find a good home with you. Sick to see how much honey was wasted dripping down.

Very interesting video!! The open air hive was a work of art that clearly demonstrated the concept of 'bee space'. Did you capture the queen bee? Are you going to do a follow up video on this bridge colony in its new location in your apiary?

They take longer than most realize to bee gentle and get them boxed up. Great Job Natalee! Thanks!

That’s so amazing. I’ve seen it only on tv open air hives which were in the tropical climate. I had no idea that European bees could build combs on open air like that. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing find.

Mr Ed puts the rubber bands on diagonal X over the corners on the back then sets the comb in then bands on top and looks like it works fast

pro tip: vacuum the bees off BEFORE you cut the comb. makes the job a whole lot easier when you arent squishing bees all the time!

They didn't seem too defensive especially considering they were out in the open like that.

Hi Natalee, it is a very interesting video showing how the bees build combs in the wild. Can I use some screenshots from your video for my book about natural beekeeping and I will point out that this is your video?

No doubt that open air hive was a swarm from the hive inside the bridge drain. Especially since there's that other piece of comb on the bridge, which was probably another swarm.
