Thank you guys for this moment sharing about Tony Who became my hero as soon as I heard him play on "Believe It " album and so much others. And that's also really moving and nice to see you all who each of you as drummers influenced me. Thank you Peter,(first heard you on Pinocchio) Alex( on Heavy Weather album), Lenny (No Mystery - I loved SophistiFunk) and special motion to Eric Gravatt for his absolutely brilliant drumming on "I sing the body Electric" album. I insist because for me ERic Gravatt is really an underrated one. THKS A LOT GUYS !!!
I saw Eric Gravatt with McCoy's big band, and his drumming was from out of this world. An incredible, mind-blowing drummer! Wow! And yes, the TW influence was there!!!!
@jazztalk3482 omg! Thank you for replying. A sit down with him would be amazing! And maybe some stories from people who played with him. I just found your channel and am binging all the episodes. Random question, I am trying to find the paper 'enemy drums' that Mr. Joe Chambers spoke about, but I can't find it anywhere. Do you know what he was referencing? Thank you for your amazing work on the channel!
Just found this channel. This discussion about Tony Williams, with you all, is very inspiring and enjoyable. I've recently started creating videos talking about the Tony Williams concept, with demonstrations. Always open to input or correction. Looking forward to enjoying this channel, what a find! Thank you. Cheers
Sister Cheryl, so beautiful!
Loved the first talk by Thelonius! So brilliant to hear him , he is jazz royalty. And always loved his drumming and his Jazz Funk TS Monk band.

It is such a treat to sit in with great musicians (as a lover of music) and hear the stories but more than that the love and respect. Awesome tribute.
Thanks Cherie
Fantastic! so good to hear Joe Chamber's passion and everybody's opinions. Very special.
Thanks Steve, glad you enjoyed it.
This is amazing! Thank you. Can you please do a larry young tribute?? There is so little information on him. I think his children are still alive.
Glad you enjoyed the program. I would love to do a show on Larry Young. I`m friends with Larry`s son.

Do you have a copy of the larry young funeral that was broadcast on TV? I've searched everywhere!
Thank you! Tony is a major figure in my life, a role model

Yes sir, it was a lot of fun having them all there together
100% Believe it is my favorite as well..Protocosmos, I've heard so many versions by others but no one comes even close to the original

Thanks Scenic Drums, so glad you enjoyed it.
Correction Peter: Ira was an important part of Tony's band -- not the most importand part!
Stuff is my favorite as well Peter. I played that record to death. And, the interaction with Herbie was uncanny.
Yee hee
Someone on this panel is unnecessarily weirdly cantankerous.
