Context is very important…these clips show where Katt had his honest baseline…the problem comes into play at different points…Katt doesn’t just say that he never had the Santa Claus role…he also said there was never a reason for there to be a switch…cube says that they had Ricky audition for the money mike roll…Ricky was already a big comedy personality when Friday after next was written…he was the host of comic view…and ppl in black America were very aware of his presence (Katt got his start on comic view while Ricky was the host) Ricky being in the movie was as good for the movie as it was for him…they had him audition for the role and then had him come out to shoot and that’s when they told him he had a different roll…that’s where the confusion was…Sharps led the question saying that Katt was supposed to be Santa Clause…Ricky responded agreeing thinking more about feeling like his roll got switched than that the rolls got swapped…and that’s how he continues to answer the question…what’s not expressed here is that Katt said he practically designed his character and re-wrote parts of the script…not just adlibbed…that’s where it gets out of hand…the part of Cedric and the car joke….you have to understand that although it’s similar…it’s very distinctly 2 different types of black men driving the vehicle…it’s possible that Ced was inspired by the visual…but…to black people that understood how black men drove in the 90s…it’s not at all the same visual…the jokes are funny for completely different reasons…also…Katt didn’t say Steve stole Marks comedic material…he said he stole his tv personification…but ..that’s like saying family matters stole the plot of the Cosby show…networks didn’t really gamble on programs…especially not ours…the 90s had the Cosby show going out…family matters, full house, boy meets world, fresh Prince, even home improvement was all the same baseline…Mr cooper wasn’t the only teacher show…Katt took information that he anticipated the audience to not be well versed in and stretched it to try and degrade these men…when he told 2-4 times the falsities in his interview that he claimed they did…it was just a ploy to get ppl to pay attention to his upcoming tour without him saying it on camera…maybe even tryna get a special out of it…his last special very much resembled this interview…but he seemed more far gone
That being said…Katt doesn’t have receipts…he has his more of a quote with line items that are on the actual receipt…but the quote was never fully realized..there’s so much embellished in this interview that it’s hard to not view it as deceptive…and this representation of it looks like someone searching for evidence to validate it instead of evidence for understanding…this video could’ve been twice as long with longer clips to keep everything in context and been more objective…it’s so lopsided that it almost feels like propaganda

I wouldn’t mind working on a video focused more on Kat, this was a part of a larger video on 3 podcasts

@@aerialaustin_ I definitely think it would be brilliant to spread this out as much as possible…ig what I’m sayin is it coulda been twice as long with clips that represented more complete information…or the same length with half of the subject matter
This just only shows enough information to cosign Katt’s position…but…he has no real position in any of it…he took small mishaps and made huge misrepresentations as a result…nothing he claimed was completely true…this makes it look like it was
